Hey everyone! Have you seen the news? Our city is producing way too much trash!

Kyungmin:

Yeah, it’s terrible. I saw plastic bottles and food waste all over the playground yesterday.

Soyoon:

I know! People don’t recycle properly. They just throw everything in one bin.

Jiyul:

That’s true. And all that waste harms animals too. I read that sea turtles eat plastic because they think it's jellyfish.

Dohyun:

Poor turtles… We have to do something

Sungim:

Well, we can start small. Like using reusable water bottles instead of plastic ones.

Kyungmin:

And bring our own shopping bags to stores. No more plastic bags!

Jiyul:

Also, we should tell our family to separate trash correctly — food, plastic, paper.

Soyoon:

Great idea. And we can make posters for school to remind students to recycle.

Dohyun:

Let’s also have a clean-up day! We can pick up trash around the school.

Sungim:

Awesome! We can make a team and invite others to join.

Jiyul:

제안할 때 사용하는 표현

친구들과 아이디어를 나눌 때 "Let’s ~" 표현을 반복적으사용했다.

"Let’s also have a clean-up day!"

"Let’s protect our Earth."

"Let’s" + 동사원형은 함께 하자는 제안을 할 때 쓰는 표현이다.

간단한 조언과 명령문

행동을 제안하거나 권유할 때는 주어 없이 동사원형으로 시작하는 명령문 형태사용된다.

"Use reusable water bottles."

"Bring our own shopping bags."

이런 표현은 직접적이고 실천을 유도하는 데 효과적이다.

활동 후

이번 쓰레기 분리수거 활동을 하면서, 작은 행동 하나하나가 환경에 큰 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 깨달았습니다. 처음에는 그냥 재밌는 활동이라고 생각했지만, 친구들과 함께 플라스틱과 음식물 쓰레기를 치우고, 재활용 방법을 이야기하면서 환경 보호의 중요성을 더 깊이 느꼈습니다. 특히 "작은 행동도 지구를 바꿀 수 있다"는 말이 마음에 남았고, 앞으로는 집에서도 쓰레기를 제대로 분리하고, 일회용품 사용도 줄이려고 합니다. 이번 활동을 통해 나 자신도 바뀌고 있다는 걸 느낄 수 있어서 뜻깊은 시간이었습니다.
