한국이 FIFA U-20 World Cup에서 나이지리아를 이기고 준결승에 진출했습니다.
나이지리아는 주최국 아르헨티나를 이긴 강팀입니다.
연장전 초반에 이경기의 한국의 유일한 슈팅인  최석현의 헤더로 득점했습니다. 
스타가 없는 우리팀에 맞는 작전을 구사한 김은중감독의 전략도 돋보입니다. 
세계대회 4강에 진출한 우리나라 U-20대표팀에 박수를 보냅니다.

Korea have advanced to the semifinals at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina, moving within a win of reaching the championship match for the second consecutive tournament.
한국이 아르헨티나에서 열린 FIFA (국제축구연맹) U-20(20세 이하) 월드컵에서 대회 2회 연속 챔피언결정전 진출을 눈앞에 두고 4강에 진출했다.
 
Choi Seok-hyun headed in the match's only goal early in extra time, as Korea knocked off Nigeria 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the tournament at Santiago del Estero Stadium in Santiago del Estero, northern Argentina, on Sunday (local time).
연장전 초반 최석현이 골문에 헤딩하여 이 경기의 유일한 득점을 해서 한국이 아르헨티나 산티아고 델 에스테로에 있는 마드레 드 시우다데스 경기장에서 열린 대회 8강전에서 나이지리아를 1-0으로 격파했다.
 
Coached by Kim Eun-jung, Korea will take on Italy in the semifinals at La Plata Stadium in La Plata, eastern Argentina. The kickoff is 6 p.m. Thursday local time, or 6 a.m. Friday in Korea.
김은중 감독이 이끄는 한국은 아르헨티나 동부 라플라타에 있는 라플라타 스타디움에서 열리는 준결승에서 이탈리아를 상대한다. 시작시간은 현지시각으로 목요일 오후 6시이고 한국시각으로는 금요일 오전 6시이다.
 
Korea finished as the runners-up to Ukraine at the previous U-20 World Cup in 2019. The 2021 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
한국은 2019년 이전 U-20 월드컵에서 우크라이나에 이어 준우승을 차지했다. 2021년 대회는 코비드19로 취소되었다.

Korea have not won a FIFA title at a men's tournament. In 2010, South Korea won the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup title.
우리나라는 FIFA의 남자대회에서 우승한 적이 없다. 한국은 2010년에 FIFA U-17 여자월드컵에서 우승했다.

Korea did not register a shot attempt until stoppage time in the first half. Nigeria attempted seven shots and handily won the possession battle, with Victor Eletu and Salim Lawal knocking on the Korean door in the opening 45 minutes.
한국은 전반전이 끝날 때까지 슛 시도를 기록하지 못했다. 나이지리아는 빅토르 엘레투(Victor Eletu)와 살림라우알(Salim Lawal)이 오프닝 45 분에 한국 문을 두드리는 등 7 발의 슈팅을 시도하고 손쉽게 골점유율에서 우위를 보였다.

Nigeria continued to dominate the run of play in the second half and they had answers to Korea's counterattack attempts.
나이지리아는 후반전에 계속해서 경기 운영을 지배했고 그들은 한국의 반격 시도에 대한 해답을 가지고 있었다.

The teams remained scoreless after 90 minutes, with Korea unable to put any shot on target.
두 팀은 90분이 지난 후에도 득점 없이 경기를 계속했는데 한국은 어떠한 슛도 과녁에 맞출 수 없었다.

Korea finally solved Nigeria about five minutes into the extra period. Captain Lee Seung-won took a corner, and Choi soared to meet it with his head and redirect the ball into the far corner, past the helpless goalkeeper Kingsley Aniagboso.
한국은 연장전 5분 만에 마침내 나이지리아를 해결했다. 주장 이승원이 코너킥을 잡았고, 최석현은 이를 머리로 받아 상대 수비수 킹슬리 아니아그보소를 지나 공을 먼 구석으로 방향을 돌렸다.

It was Korea's first shot on target in the match.
이것은 한국의 첫번째 골문안으로의 슛 시도였다.

Nigeria failed to respond, though Umeh Emmanuel had a couple of dangerous looks from close range. (Yonhap)
