Scripture Job 38 : 1 ~ 7 ----------------------------------------------------------------- Pastor Khan Aqeel / 2025 - 10 – 12

Are you ready to answer God’s questions.

Brothers & sisters, we read many times about Job. He is very famous about his patience & sufferings. Job was very blessed person. Job was very righteous and walk with God but within a day he loss everything. He lost his health, wealth, possession, children. Even his wife said, Job curse God and die. But Job did not complain. Job praise God and in result Job was blessed twice. His his travel was so painful but God blessed him twice. He suffered a lot. His friends, called him guilty or sinner. Job called God in miserable condition and ask many questions about his defaulter. God called him and answered.

Job 38 : 1 ~ 3 (NLT Version)

Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind: “Who is this that questions my wisdom

with suchignorant words? Brace yourself like a man, because I have some

questions for you, and you must answer them.

Friends, Job was exhausted and it looks that loss his all strength to face his miserable situation.

God called Job to answer Job’s questions by asking Job some simple questions. God did not only called Job to answer. Today, God is asking some questions to you & me. Are you ready to answer.

1. God called Adam“ Adam, Adam where are you?”

Brothers and sisters, within 6 days God made everything with His Words. On very last day, very last moment God made Adam and Eve. God gave them command to enjoy and take care of the Eden. But Adam & Eve disobeyed God. As usual God came to visit them but they hide themselves.

Genesis 3 : 9 ~ 10

But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” - He answered,

“I heard You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

God call us. But we hide ourselves. We make arguments, we make others responsible not ourselves.

God call, did you pray? - God call, did you read the Bible? - God, call, did you attend Sunday service?

God call, did you paid offerings & tithes? -- God call, did you help your parents, siblings? God call, did you repent?

2. God called Cain,“ Where is your brother Abel?”

Dear brothers & sisters, God called Cain, who killed his brother Abel. Cause God accept the offering of Abel but God didn’t accept the offering of Cain. Cain felt jealous and Cain killed his brother Abel.

Genesis 4 : 9

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”

“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

Brothers & sisters, we are have to take good care of our siblings, relatives, friends & church members.

Matthew 5 : 23 ~ 24 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar.

First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Psalms 133 : 1 ~~ How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!

3. Lord Jesus asked, “ Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

Brothers & sisters, different people different opinions about Jesus. Once Jesus ask His disciples,

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi,

He asked His disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

Muslims believe in Jesus as prophet, Hindus believe that there are lots of gods & Jesus is one of them. Brothers & sisters, today Jesus is asking our opinion or faith about Jesus. --- “ Who is Jesus?”

Matthew 16 : 16 ~ Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Friends, Jesus is Messiah, King of kings, Alpha & Omega, Healer, Hope, Savior, Redeemer etc. etc.,

4. Lord Jesus asked,“ What do you want Me to do for you?”

Friends, Lord Jesus called blind persons and asked question. “What do you want me to do for you?”

Matthew 20 : 32 ~ 33

Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?”

He asked. “Lord,” they answered, “we want our sight.”

Friends, blind beggars were so poor. There was no proper source of income, no wife, no sibling. They were having miserable condition. Blind persons never ask money, source of income or any-other things. Just ask the real and exact what they needed. They said, “Lord,” they answered, “we want our sight.”

Friends, Jesus is standing here and asking each-one of us. What do you want me to do for you?”

1st Kings 3 : 9

So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish

between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

Matthew 7 : 7

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

5. Lord Jesus asked,“ Do you love Me?”

Friends, Apostle Simon Peter denied Jesus three times. After the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus revealed Himself on Simon & ask three time. “Peter, do you love Me.” Each time “Peter said Yes Lord.”

John 21 : 15

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love Me

more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love You.” Jesus said, “Feed My lambs.”

Let me ask you a question. Do you love Jesus? If you love Jesus “Feed the lambs, Go & make disciples.”

Matthew 28 : 19 ~~ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,

Jesus is asking, Do you love others? Do you serve others? Do you forgive others? Do you make harmony?

(John 13 : 35) (Galatians 5 : 13) (Luke 23 : 34) (Psalms 133:1)

6. Lord Jesus asked,“ Do you believe ?”

Friends, two blinds came to Jesus for the healing. Jesus ask them a simple question. Do you believe?

Matthew 9 : 28

When He had gone indoors, the blind men came to Him, and He asked

them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied.

Dear brothers and sisters today Jesus is asking all of us the same question, “Do you believe?”

Do you believe that He can give you victory? Do you believe that He can give us Salvation?

Do you believe that He can heal every kind of disease? Do you believe that He is Son of God?

Matthew 17 : 20

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ & it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Conclusion :-

In our pains & sufferings. We start to complain and questioning God as Job did. God also question to His people to strengthen our faith. Complains is not a way to handle our situations. Just pray & wait.

Isaiah 30 : 18 ~ Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!

Maybe we’ve painful life like Job. Always remember God is always with us. He never leave nor forsake us.

하나님의 질문에 대답할 준비가 되었습니까?

형제자매 여러분, 우리는 여러 번 욥기를 읽었습니다. 욥은 인내와 고난으로 매우 유명합니다.

욥은 매우 축복받은 사람이었습니다. 욥은 매우 의롭고 하나님과 동행했지만 하루 만에 모든 것을 잃었습니다. 건강, 부유함, 재산, 자녀들을 잃었습니다. 심지어 아내는 하나님을 저주하고 죽으라고 말했습니다. 하지만 욥은 불평하지 않았습니다. 욥은 하나님을 찬양했고 그 결과 두 배로 축복받았습니다. 그의 여정은 너무나 고통스러웠지만 하나님께서 두 배로 축복하셨습니다. 그는 수많은 고통을 겪었습니다. 그의 친구들은 그를 죄인이라 했습니다. 욥은 비참한 상황에서 하나님을 불렀고 어찌할 수 없는 상태에 대해 많은 질문을 했습니다. 하나님은 그를 부르셨고 응답하셨습니다.

욥기 38 : 1 ~ 3 - 그 때에 여호와께서 폭풍우 가운데에서 욥에게 말씀하여 이르시되 무지한 말로

생각을 어둡게 하는 자가 누구냐 너는 대장부처럼 허리를 묶고 내가 네게 묻는 것을 대답할지니라.

욥은 완전히 지쳤고 비참한 상황에 맞설 모든 힘을 잃은 것처럼 보입니다. 하나님은 욥에게 단순한 질문을 함으로써 욥의 의문에 답하시려고 그를 부르셨습니다. 하나님은 단지 욥에게만 답하시려고 부르신 것이 아닙니다. 오늘, 하나님은 여러분과 저에게 같은 질문을 하십니다. 대답할 준비가 되어 있습니까?

1. 하나님은 아담을 부르셨습니다 “아담아, 아담아 네가 어디 있느냐?”

형제자매 여러분, 하나님은 말씀으로 6일 만에 만물을 창조하셨습니다. 맨 마지막 날, 마지막 순간에 하나님은 아담과 하와를 지으셨습니다. 하나님은 그들에게 에덴을 누리고 돌보라고 명령하셨지만 아담과 하와는 불순종했습니다. 평소대로 하나님은 그들을 찾아오셨으나 그들은 숨었습니다.

창세기 3 : 9 ~ 10 ~ 여호와 하나님이 아담을 부르시며 그에게 이르시되 네가 어디 있느냐 이르되

내가 동산에서 하나님의 소리를 듣고 내가 벗었으므로 두려워하여 숨었나이다.

하나님께서 우리를 부르십니다. 하지만 우리는 숨습니다. 우리는 핑계대고 우리자신이 아닌 다른 사람을 탓합니다. 하나님은 물으십니다. 기도하였느냐? 하나님은 물으십니다. 성경을 읽었느냐? 하나님은 물으십니다. 주일 예배에 참석하였느냐? 하나님은 물으십니다. 헌금과 십일조를 드렸느냐? 하나님은 물으십니다. 부모와 형제를 도왔느냐? 하나님은 물으십니다. 회개하였느냐?

2. 하나님은 가인을 부르셨습니다. “네 아우 아벨이 어디 있느냐?”

형제자매 여러분, 하나님께서 아우 아벨을 죽인 가인을 부르셨습니다. 하나님이 아벨의 제물은

받으셨으나 가인의 제물을 받지 않으셨기 때문에 가인은 질투하여 아우 아벨을 죽였습니다.

창세기 4 : 9 ~~ 여호와께서 가인에게 이르시되 네 아우 아벨이 어디 있느냐 그가

이르되 내가 알지 못하나이다 내가 내 아우를 지키는 자니이까.

형제자매 여러분, 우리는 형제, 친척, 친구, 성도를 잘 돌봐야 합니다.

마태복음 5 : 23 ~ 24 -- 그러므로 예물을 제단에 드리려다가 거기서 네 형제에게 원망들을 만한 일이 있는 것이 생각나거든 예물을 제단 앞에 두고 먼저 가서 형제와 화목하고 그 후에 와서 예물을 드리라.

시편 133 : 1 ~~~ 보라 형제가 연합하여 동거함이 어찌 그리 선하고 아름다운고.

3. 주 예수께서 물으셨습니다. “사람들이 인자를 누구라 하느냐?”

형제자매 여러분, 예수에 대하여 각각의 사람들은 각각의 생각을 합니다.

한번은 예수께서 제자들에게 물으셨습니다.

마태복음 16 : 13

예수께서 빌립보 가이사랴 지방에 이르러 제자들에게 물어 이르시되 사람들이 인자를 누구라 하느냐.

이슬람교도들은 예수를 선지자로 믿고 힌두교도들은 수많은 신들이 있는데 예수는 그들 중 하나라고

믿습니다. 형제자매 여러분, 오늘 예수님이 예수에 대한 우리의 생각이나 믿음을 물으십니다.

예수는 누구입니까?

마태복음 16 : 16 ~ 시몬 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다.

예수님은 메시야, 왕중의 왕, 알파와 오메가, 치유자, 소망, 구원자, 대속자 등등 이십니다.

4. 주 예수께서 물으십니다. “너희에게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐?”

주 예수께서 맹인을 부르시고 물으셨습니다. “너희에게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐?”

마태복음 20 : 32 ~ 33

예수께서 머물러 서서 그들을 불러 이르시되 너희에게 무엇을

하여 주기를 원하느냐 이르되 주여 우리의 눈 뜨기를 원하나이다.

맹인 거지는 너무나 가난했습니다. 적당한 소득도 아내도 형제도 없었습니다. 그들은 비참한 상황을 겪고 있었습니다. 맹인은 돈, 소득원이나 다른 것을 구하지 않았습니다. 그들이 필요한 정말로 적절한 것을 구했습니다. 그들은 말했습니다. “주여 우리의 눈 뜨기를 원하나이다.”

예수님이 여기에 서서 우리 각자에게 물으십니다. “너희에게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐.”

열왕기상 3 : 9

누가 주의 이 많은 백성을 재판할 수 있사오리이까 듣는 마음을

종에게 주사 주의 백성을 재판하여 선악을 분별하게 하옵소서.

마태복음 7 : 7

구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그리하면

찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니.

5. 주 예수께서 물으셨습니다. “네가 나를 사랑하느냐?”

사도 시몬 베드로는 예수를 세 번 부인했습니다. 예수께서 부활하신 후에 시몬에게 나타나셔서 세 번 물으셨습니다. “베드로야, 네가 나를 사랑하느냐?” 베드로는 매번 “네 주님”이라 말했습니다.

요한복음 21 : 15

그들이 조반 먹은 후에 예수께서 시몬 베드로에게 이르시되 요한의 아들 시몬아 네가 이 사람들보다

나를 더 사랑하느냐 하시니 이르되 주님 그러하나이다 내가 주님을 사랑하는 줄

주님께서 아시나이다 이르시되 내 어린 양을 먹이라 하시고.

질문하겠습니다. 예수를 사랑하십니까? 만일 예수를 사랑한다면 어린 양을 먹이고 가서 제자 삼으십시오.

마태복음 28 : 19 ~~~ 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아.

예수께서 물으십니다. 다른 사람을 사랑하느냐? (요한복음 13 : 35) 다른 사람을 섬기느냐? (갈라디아서 5 : 13) 다른 사람을 용서하느냐? (누가복음 23 : 34) 다른 사람과 화합하느냐? (시편 133 : 1)

6. 주 예수께서 물으셨습니다. “나를 믿느냐?”

두 맹인이 치유받기 위해 예수께 왔습니다. 예수님은 그들에게 단순한 질문을 하셨습니다. 나를 믿느냐?

마태복음 9 : 28 ~~ 예수께서 집에 들어가시매 맹인들이 그에게 나아오거늘 예수께서

이르시되 내가 능히 이 일 할 줄을 믿느냐 대답하되 주여 그러하오이다 하니.

형제자매 여러분, 오늘 예수께서 우리 모두에게 같은 질문을 하십니다. 나를 믿느냐? 그분이 승리를 주실 수 있다고 믿습니까? 그분이 구원을 주실 수 있다고 믿습니까? 그분이 모든 종류의 질병을 치유하실 수 있다고 믿습니까? 그분이 하나님의 아들이심을 믿습니까?

마태복음 17 : 20

이르시되 너희 믿음이 작은 까닭이니라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 너희에게 믿음이 겨자씨 한 알 만큼만 있어도 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮겨지라 하면 옮겨질 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라.

결론 :- 우리는 고통과 고난 중에 불평하기 시작하고 욥처럼 하나님께 질문합니다. 하나님은 믿음을 강하게 하기 위해 그분의 백성들에게 역시 질문하십니다. 불평은 우리 상황을

처리하는 방법이 아닙니다. 오직 기도하며 기다리십시오.

이사야 30 : 18

그러나 여호와께서 기다리시나니 이는 너희에게 은혜를 베풀려 하심이요 일어나시리니 이는 너희를 긍휼히 여기려 하심이라 대저 여호와는 정의의 하나님이심이라 그를 기다리는 자마다 복이 있도다.

우리도 욥처럼 고통스러운 삶을 겪을 수 있습니다. 하나님이 우리와 항상 함께 하심을

언제나 기억하십시오. 그분은 우리를 떠나지도 버리지도 않으십니다.
