Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. [Philippians 4:6-7]

Gracious God,

I have so many reasons to say thank you. When things are hard, your promises give me hope, and your Spirit gives me strength. When I succeed, I know it is thanks to the talents you gave me to use for your sake. Even when life feels like the same old thing, I find joy in the surprises you send my way.

Thank you for being so powerful, yet still caring so much about me and what I need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
