Why, do we give thanks (Part 2)

Brothers and sisters today we are going to celebrate thanks giving Sunday in our Church. Friends, I read some where, to have successful life, we must learn three words. Thanks, Sorry and Excuse. Friends, we have to use these words in our lives to have successful life in our own country and in abroad. In Korea we say, Thanks, Sorry and Excuse — 감사합니다, 미안합니다, 실례합니다. Friends, these words not only used with people, we’ve to use with our to God too. We‘ve give thanks to God for His un-limited blessings. Today I want to let you know. How & why, we give thanks to God.

♣ Friends, 1st. 5 chapters of Genesis. We can see God made Adam and Eve. God created Adam, God gave him Garden of Eden to live. God gave him life partner Eve. Adam never said thanks God. Instead of “THANKS“ Adam complain, God You gave me Eve and because of Eve I ate forbidden fruit.

♣ Friends, if any mistake happen by us. Without wasting a moment say “SORRY”. If someone help you. Don’t feel shy to say “THANKS”. And if there is anything excuse-able. Say “EXCUSE” without any hesitation. Holy Bible teach us to give thanks to our God, and on our mistakes say sorry. (Repentance)

When we enter in Church or in God’s presence, don’t forget to say thanks.

Psalms 100 : 4

Enter His gates with thanksgiving & His courts with praise; give thanks to Him & praise His name.

Friends, today let us learn how and when we give thanks to our God.

1. Thanks is way to honour and praise God.

Brothers and sisters, majority of people give thanks when good things happen but when bad things, people start to complain. Friends, good things happen or bad. We’ve to give thanks to the Lord. Thanks is the way to have un-limited blessings of God. Let us give thanks instead of complain. Job was rich and righteous person. He lost everything. Job instead of complain he gave thanks.

Job 1 : 26 ~~ and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”

Job 2 : 9 ~ 10

His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!” - He replied,

“You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?”

Not only Job. David gave thanks in his trials and sufferings. Let’s give thanks instead of complain.

Psalms 119 : 71 ~ 72

It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn Your decrees. The law from

Your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.

Brothers & sisters, real way to praise God is thanks Giving. Don’t complain just give “THANKS“.

Psalms 50 : 23

Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor Me, and to the blameless I will show My salvation.

If we will give thanks. He will show us His salvation. In other words He will supply our all needs.

2. Thanks brings blessings & complain brings curse.

Brothers and sisters, in the wilderness Israelites complained God about their hardship. God was with them. In the morning God covered them cloud and at night God provide Pillar of fire.

But Israelites instead of Giving Thanks started to complain. Complain of food, water, etc. etc.,

Numbers 11 : 1

Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord, and when He heard them His anger was aroused. Then fire from the Lord burned among them

and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.

Cause of complain, people who were more than 20 died. Under 20 were saved & reach in promised land.

Number 14 : 23

not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their

ancestors. No one who has treated Me with contempt will ever see it.

Thanks brings God's creative power & numerous blessings to us. Let's give thanks instead of grumbling

3. Thanks brings joy and happiness.

Brothers and sisters, if we want that our lives filled with joy and happiness. Our prayers must be filled with thanks. It is easy to give thanks when good things happen but when bad things happen, when there is no Job, when there sickness, when there is Visa problem. People start to complain. But when everything smooth. People say, it’s our good luck. Friends, thanks brings real joy and happiness.

Colossians 2 : 6 ~ 7

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted &

built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, & overflowing with thankfulness.

4. Thanks brings inner healing.

Brothers and sisters, if we want have inner healing. Give thanks. Thanks brings inner healing. Saul disobeyed God and in result a bad spirit from God tormented him. Whenever bad spirit disturbed or tormented Saul. David praise and gave thanks. Bad spirit left Saul.

1st. Samuel 16 : 23

Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play.

Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him. Friends, when we dissatisfied, complain and grumble against God and people. When we’ve

invisible fear, enmity and hatred. Thanks is the best medicine for each one of us. Amen

5. Thanks brings miracle and change our surroundings.

Brothers and sisters, if we see the story of Joseph the dreamer. His brothers felt jealous, beaten him, thrown him in dry well and lastly sold him. About 10 years, he worked as slave a and 3 years he spent in jail as a prisoner. Joseph never complained or made anything wrong. He never blame anyone. Joseph just gave thanks and praise God with his whole heart. Thanks changed his surroundings.

God turned his sorrow into Joy. His slavery turned into Minister-ship. Thanks Giving brings miracles.

“Thanks make good things more better and bad things turn into good things.”

Genesis 41 : 41 ~ So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.”

1st. Thessalonians 5 : 16 ~ 18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Conclusion :-

Dear friends, we don’t have to seek dissatisfactions of our lives. We’ve to seek the good things to give thanks to God. Devil trying to put seed of dissatisfations, enmity, hate & fear et. etc., Friends, if we want to overcome these things. We have to fill ourselves with thanks. Thanks in all circumstances.

Psalms 9 : 1 ~ 2

I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.

1st. Chronicles 16 : 34 ~ Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.

Colossians 3 : 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name

of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

왜, 감사하지 않습니까? (2)

형제자매 여러분, 오늘은 우리 교회에서 추수감사주일로 드릴 것입니다. 성공적 삶을 누리려면 세 단어를 배워야 한다고 어디에서인가 읽었습니다. - 감사합니다, 미안합니다, 실례합니다. 고국에서, 외국에서 우리 삶에 성공적인 삶을 누리려면 이 단어를 사용해야 합니다. - 감사합니다, 미안합니다, 실례합니다.

이 단어는 사람들과 사용할 뿐 아니라 하나님과도 사용해야 합니다. 그분의 한없는 축복에 감사해야 합니다. 오늘, 저는 어떻게, 왜 하나님께 감사해야 하는지 알려드리고자 합니다.

♣ 창세기 처음 다섯 장에서 하나님께서 아담과 하와를 만드셨음을 볼 수 있습니다. 하나님은 아담을 창조하시고 살도록 에덴동산을 주셨습니다. 하나님은 인생의 동반자인 하와를 그에게 주셨습니다. 아담은 하나님께 감사하다고 말하지 않았습니다. 아담은 감사하지 않고 하나님 당신이 나에게 주신 하와 때문에 금지된 열매를 먹었다고 불평했습니다. 우리에 의해 어떤 잘못이 생긴다면 한순간도 지체하지 말고 미안하다고 말하십시오.

♣ 누군가 여러분을 도와주었다면 부끄러워하지 말고 감사하다고 말하십시오. 변명할 만한 일이 있다면 망설이지 말고 실례했다고 말하십시오. 성경은 하나님께 감사하고, 우리 잘못을 죄송하다고 말하라고 (회개) 가르칩니다. 우리가 교회에 오거나 하나님 앞에 있을 때 감사하다고 말하는 것을 잊지 마십시오.

시편 100 : 4

감사함으로 그의 문에 들어가며 찬송함으로 그의 궁정에 들어가서 그에게 감사하며 그의 이름을 송축할지어다.

오늘 어떻게, 언제 하나님께 감사할지 배워봅시다.

1. 감사는 하나님을 영화롭게 하고 찬양하는 길입니다.

형제자매 여러분, 대부분의 사람들은 좋은 일이 일어날 때 감사하지만 나쁜 일이 일어나면 불평하기 시작합니다. 좋은 일이 일어나든지 나쁜 일이 일어나든지 주님께 감사해야 합니다. 감사는 하나님의 한없는 축복을 받는 길입니다. 불평 대신에 감사합시다.

욥은 부유하고 의로운 사람이었습니다. 그는 모든 것을 잃었습니다. 욥은 불평 대신에 감사했습니다.

욥기 1 : 21

이르되 내가 모태에서 알몸으로 나왔사온즉 또한 알몸이 그리로 돌아가올지라 주신 이도

여호와시요 거두신 이도 여호와시오니 여호와의 이름이 찬송을 받으실지니이다 하고.

욥기 2 : 9 ~ 10

그의 아내가 그에게 이르되 당신이 그래도 자기의 온전함을 굳게 지키느냐 하나님을 욕하고 죽으라

그가 이르되 그대의 말이 한 어리석은 여자의 말 같도다 우리가 하나님께 복을 받았은즉

화도 받지 아니하겠느냐 하고 이 모든 일에 욥이 입술로 범죄하지 아니하니라.

욥뿐만 아니라 다윗도 시험과 고통 중에 감사했습니다. 불평하지 말고 감사합시다.

시편 119 : 71 ~ 72

고난 당한 것이 내게 유익이라 이로 말미암아 내가 주의 율례를

배우게 되었나이다 주의 입의 법이 내게는 천천 금은보다 좋으니이다.

형제자매 여러분, 하나님을 찬양하는 진정한 길은 감사를 드리는 것입니다. 불평하지 말고 오직 감사하십시오.

시편 50 : 23

감사로 제사를 드리는 자가 나를 영화롭게 하나니 그의 행위를 옳게 하는 자에게 내가 하나님의 구원을 보이리라.

우리가 감사한다면 그분께서 구원을 보이실 것입니다. 다시 말해서 우리의 모든 필요를 공급하실 것입니다.

2. 감사는 축복을, 불평은 저주를 가져옵니다.

형제자매 여러분, 이스라엘 백성들은 광야에서 그들의 고난에 대해 하나님께 불평했습니다. 하나님은 그들과 함께 하셨습니다. 아침에는 구름으로 가려주셨고 밤에는 불기둥을 예비하셨습니다. 하지만 이스라엘 백성들은 감사 대신에 불평하기 시작했습니다. 음식, 물 등등의 불평입니다.

민수기 11 : 1

여호와께서 들으시기에 백성이 악한 말로 원망하매 여호와께서 들으시고

진노하사 여호와의 불을 그들 중에 붙여서 진영 끝을 사르게 하시매.

불평 때문에 20세 이상의 사람들이 죽었습니다. 20세 이하는 살아서 약속의 땅에 이르렀습니다.

민수기 14 : 23

내가 그들의 조상들에게 맹세한 땅을 결단코 보지 못할 것이요

또 나를 멸시하는 사람은 한 사람도 그것을 보지 못하리라.

감사는 하나님의 창조적인 능력과 수많은 축복을 가져옵니다. 투덜대지 말고 감사합시다.

3. 감사는 기쁨과 행복을 가져옵니다.

형제자매 여러분, 우리는 삶이 기쁨과 행복으로 가득차기를 원합니다. 우리의 기도가 감사로 가득차야 합니다. 좋은 일이 일어날 때 감사하는 것은 쉽지만 나쁜 일이 일어날 때, 실직했을 때, 병들었을 때, 비자 문제가 있을 때 사람들은 불평하기 시작합니다. 모든 일이 순조로울 때 사람들은 다행이라고 말합니다. 감사는 진정한 기쁨과 행복을 가져옵니다.

골로새서 2 : 6 ~ 7

그러므로 너희가 그리스도 예수를 주로 받았으니 그 안에서 행하되 그 안에 뿌리를

박으며 세움을 받아 교훈을 받은 대로 믿음에 굳게 서서 감사함을 넘치게 하라.

4. 감사는 내적치유를 가져옵니다.

형제자매 여러분, 내적 치유를 원한다면 감사하십시오. 감사는 내적 치유를 가져옵니다. 사울은 하나님께 불순종했고 그 결과 하나님이 보내신 악령이 그를 괴롭혔습니다. 악령이 사울을 불안하게 하거나 괴롭힐 때마다 다윗은 찬양하고 감사했으며 악령이 사울을 떠났습니다.

사무엘상 16 : 23

하나님께서 부리시는 악령이 사울에게 이를 때에 다윗이 수금을 들고

와서 손으로 탄즉 사울이 상쾌하여 낫고 악령이 그에게서 떠나더라.

우리가 하나님과 사람에게 불만스럽고 불평하고 투덜댈 때, 보이지

않는 공포, 불화, 증오가 있을 때 감사는 우리 각자에게 최고의 약입니다. 아멘.

5. 감사는 기적과 상황의 변화를 가져옵니다.

형제자매 여러분, 꿈꾸는 사람 요셉의 이야기를 보면 그의 형제가 질투하여 그를 때리고 물이 없는 우물에 던지고 결국 그를 팔았습니다. 그는 10년 정도 노예로 일했고 3년 동안 감옥에서 죄수로 보냈습니다. 요셉은 불평하거나 죄를 짓지 않았습니다. 누군가를 비난하지 않았습니다. 요셉은 오직 감사했고 온 마음으로 하나님을 찬양했습니다. 감사는 그의 상황을 변화시켰습니다. 하나님은 그의 슬픔을 기쁨으로 바꾸셨습니다. 노예생활이 총리로 바뀌었습니다.

감사는 기적을 가져옵니다. 감사는 좋은 일을 더 좋게 만들고 나쁜 일을 좋은 일로 바꿉니다.

창세기 41 : 41 ~ 바로가 또 요셉에게 이르되 내가 너를 애굽 온 땅의 총리가 되게 하노라 하고.

데살로니가전서 5 : 16 ~ 18

항상 기뻐하라 쉬지 말고 기뻐하라 범사에 감사하라 이것이

그리스도 예수 안에서 너희를 향하신 하나님의 뜻이니라.

결론 :-

우리 삶의 불만을 찾지 말아야 합니다. 하나님께 감사할 좋은 일을 찾아야 합니다. 마귀는

불만, 불화, 미움, 공포 등등의 씨를 심으려 합니다. 이러한 것들을 극복하려면

감사로 채워야 합니다. 모든 상황에서 감사하십시오.

시편 9 : 1 ~ 2

                   내가 전심으로 여호와께 감사하오며 주의 모든 기이한 일들을 전하리이다

                                                   내가 주를 기뻐하고 즐거워하며 지존하신 주의 이름을 찬송하리니.

역대상 16 : 34 ~~ 여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그의 인자하심이 영원함이로다.

시편 9 : 1 ~~~~~ 내가 전심으로 여호와께 감사하오며 주의 모든 기이한 일들을 전하리이다.
