모세가 하나님을 만나 율법의 명판을 들고 있다가 화가 나서 명판을 부수는 장면을 상상해 보세요. 가장 좋은 청지기의 예는 아니죠? 하지만 그를 너무 가혹하게 대하지 맙시다. 그는 이스라엘의 반란에 화가 났습니다. 오늘날 우리는 명판보다 더 큰 무언가를 위임받았는데, 은혜의 복음이 바울에게 드러났습니다. 우리는 더 나은 청지기가 될까요, 아니면 모세가 명판을 깨뜨린 것처럼 명판을 깨뜨린 죄가 있나요?

Picture Moses, fresh from meeting with God, holding the tablets of the Law, only to smash them in anger. Not the best example of stewardship, right? But let’s not be too hard on him—he was angry at Israel’s rebellion. Fast-forward to today, where we’re entrusted with something greater than tablets—the Gospel of Grace revealed to Paul. Will we be better stewards, or are we guilty of breaking it like Moses broke the tablets?

𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙬: 𝘼 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥

1. The Breaking of the Tablets

1. 태블릿의 깨짐
(출애굽기 32:19)
모세는 이스라엘의 우상숭배 죄를 보고 분노하여 석판을 깨뜨렸습니다. 석판은 이스라엘에게 주어진 완벽하고 거룩한 기준인 하나님의 법을 상징했지만, 이를 지키지 않아 곧바로 언약을 위반하게 되었습니다.

출애굽기 32장 19절은 " 그가 진영에 가까이 오자 송아지와 그 춤추는 것을 본지라, 모세가 격노하여 자기 손에서 돌판을 던져 산 아래서 깨뜨리니라. "고 말합니다. 모세의 분노가 뜨거워지자 그는 테이블을 손에서 던져 산 아래로 떨어뜨렸습니다

깨진 석판은 죄로 인해 이스라엘과 하나님의 관계가 깨진 것을 상징합니다.
(Exodus 32:19)
Moses broke the stone tablets in anger after seeing Israel’s sin of idolatry. The tablets represented God’s Law, a perfect and holy standard given to Israel, but their failure to uphold it led to their immediate violation of the covenant.

Exodus 32:19 says, “And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses’ anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.”

The broken tablets symbolized the broken relationship between Israel and God due to their sin.

2. God’s Response: Rewriting the Law (Exodus 34:1-4)

모세의 분노와 백성들의 실패에도 불구하고 하나님은 모세에게 새로운 명판을 개척하고 하나님 자신이 다시 한 번 율법을 새기도록 지시하셨습니다.

출애굽기 34장 1-4절은 "주께서 모세에게 말씀하시기를 “너는 처음 것과 같은 돌판 둘을 깎으라. 그러면 네가 깨뜨렸던 처음 돌판에 있던 말들을 내가 이 돌판 위에다 쓰리라. "라고 말합니다

이것은 하나님께서 언약과 말씀에 대한 진지한 헌신을 보여줍니다. 모세가 실패했음에도 불구하고 하나님은 그의 계획을 포기하지 않으셨습니다. 그는 모세에게 명판을 다시 만들고 언약을 다시 세우게 했습니다.
Despite Moses’ anger and the people’s failure, God instructed Moses to carve out new tablets and have God Himself inscribe the Law once more.

Exodus 34:1-4 says, “And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.”

This shows God's serious commitment to His covenant and His Word. Even though Moses failed, God didn’t abandon His plan; He had Moses remake the tablets and reestablish the covenant.

𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚: 𝘼 𝘿𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥

1. The Mystery Revealed 신비가 드러나다.
(Ephesians 3:3-6)
그것이 성령으로 그의 거룩한 사도들과 선지자들에게 지금 계시된 것처럼 다른 시대들에서는 사람들의 아들들에게 알려지지 아니하였으니  이는 이방인들이 복음을 통하여 그리스도 안에서 공동 상속자가 되고 한 몸이 되며 그의 약속에 동참자가 된다는 것이니라.
Unlike the Law given through Moses, which was a visible covenant for Israel, Paul was entrusted with revealing the mystery of the Gospel of Grace. This mystery, hidden for ages but now revealed to the Church, is the message of salvation by grace through faith alone. Paul writes in Ephesians 3:5-6,
"다른 시대에는 사람들의 아들들에게 알려지지 않았는데, 지금은 성령에 의해 그의 성스러운 사도들과 예언자들에게 밝혀졌습니다. 이방인들은 복음을 통해 그리스도 안에서 그의 약속을 따르는 동료 상속자이자 같은 몸이어야 한다는 것입니다."

이 복음은 율법과 구별되며 이전 세대에는 알려지지 않았지만 이제 그리스도의 구원적인 일을 믿을 모든 사람에게 드러납니다. (1 고린도전서 15:1-4)
“Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.”

This Gospel is distinct from the Law and was not made known to previous generations but is now revealed for all who will believe in Christ's redemptive work. (1 Cor. 15:1-4)

2. Our Stewardship Today

(1 디모데 1:11, 2 디모데 1:13)
오늘날 신자로서 우리는 바울을 통해 드러난 건전한 교리의 수호자입니다. 바울은 이를 " 이는 복되신 하나님의 영광스러운 복음에 따른 것이며, 이 복음은 내게 맡겨진 것이라."이라고 부릅니다(디모데전서 1장 11절).

이 진리를 충실히 다루는 것은 우리의 책임입니다. 디모데후서 1장 13절에서 바울은 디모데에게 "너는 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음과 사랑 안에서, 내게 들은 건전한 말씀들의 본을 굳게 붙잡고"고 촉구합니다. 우리도 바울이 전한 소리의 교리를 굳게 지키며 은혜의 메시지인 복음을 지켜야 합니다.

(1 Timothy 1:11, 2 Timothy 1:13)
As believers today, we are stewards of the sound doctrine revealed through Paul. Paul calls this the "glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust" (1 Timothy 1:11).

It is our responsibility to handle this truth faithfully. In 2 Timothy 1:13, Paul urges Timothy, “Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.” We, too, are to hold fast to the sound doctrine that Paul delivered, guarding the Gospel that is the message of grace.

𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙤𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙮

하나님께서는 바울을 통해 우리에게 복음을 이해하는 데 필수적인 건전한 교리를 드러내셨습니다. 은혜의 복음은 율법과 대조적입니다.

율법은 율법의 분배에 따라 이스라엘에 주어졌지만, 은혜의 복음은 은혜의 분배에 따라 그리스도의 몸에 대한 하나님의 계시된 신비입니다.

바울을 통해 밝혀진 이 복음은 오늘날 하나님의 구원을 위한 마지막 말씀입니다. 바울이 로마서 16장 25-26절에 쓴 것처럼, " 이제는 이 신비의 계시대로 나의 복음과 예수 그리스도를 전파함에 따라 너희를 견고케 하실 능력 있는 그분께, 이 신비의 계시는 세상이 시작된 이래로 감추어졌다가  이제 나타났으며 영원하신 하나님의 명령에 따라 선지자들의 성경을 통하여 믿음으로 순종하게 하고자 모든 민족에게 알려진 것이니 "고 기록했습니다

모세에게 율법의 관리를 맡긴 것처럼 우리도 은혜의 복음의 관리를 맡겼습니다. 그것은 깨진 시스템도 아니고 옛 것과 섞이기 위한 것도 아닙니다. 오늘날 교회에 대한 분명한 메시지입니다.

질문은 우리가 그것을 충실히 처리하고 좋은 관리자로 넘길 것인가, 아니면 모세가 태블릿을 잘못 처리한 것처럼 진실을 잘못 다룰 것인가입니다?

하나님은 바울의 복음에 따라 심판하실 것입니다. 로마서 2장 16절에 따르면 " 이런 일은 하나님께서 나의 복음대로 예수 그리스도를 통하여 사람들의 은밀한 것들을 심판하실 그 날에 있으리라." 이 판결은 바울에게 주어진 신비의 계시에 어떻게 반응하느냐에 따라 이루어집니다. 이는 믿는 모든 사람에게 구원의 진리가 있기 때문에 적절한 관리를 요구하는 메시지입니다.

God has revealed to us sound doctrine through Paul, which is essential to our understanding of the Gospel. The Gospel of Grace stands in contrast to the Law.

While the Law was given to Israel under the Dispensation of Law, the Gospel of Grace is God’s revealed mystery for the Body of Christ under the Dispensation of Grace.

This Gospel, revealed through Paul, is God’s final word for salvation today. As Paul wrote in Romans 16:25-26, “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.”

Just as Moses was entrusted with the stewardship of the Law, we are entrusted with the stewardship of the Gospel of Grace. It’s not a broken system, nor is it meant to be mixed with the old; it is the clear message for the Church today.

The question is, will we handle it faithfully and pass it on as a good steward, or will we mishandle the truth like Moses mishandled the tablets?

God will judge according to Paul’s Gospel. As Romans 2:16 says, “In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” The judgment is based on how we respond to the revelation of the mystery given to Paul. It is a message that demands proper stewardship, for in it lies the truth of salvation for all who believe.
