Are we ready for the Christmas (2)?

Last Sunday through the Psalms 150, we learned “Pray and praise.” Friends, God answer or don’t answer. Don’t stop or quit your prayers. Sometime God test our faith and patience. Friends our God is living God. He listen, watch & answer on His exact time. Just keep pray & praise the Lord.

Friends, right after 18 days it will be Christmas or Earthly birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He born to make Harmony among God and people. Jesus born to save us by giving His own life.

Luke 19 : 10 ~~~ For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

After 18 days it’ll be Christmas. Let’s make a question to ourselves. Are we ready for the Christmas?

All around the world people are waiting for the Christmas. We can see around us, Malls, Shopping plaza's. Everywhere big Christmas trees and other Christmas decorating stuff. Actually those people are waiting for the good business not for the Christ or Christmas. When I was young boy I wait for the Christmas cause my parents and elders gave me an extra pocket money, gifts and new clothes.

Today, I want to draw your attention towards -- “How, do we wait for the Christmas?”

Do we wait like other non Christians (pagans) or do we wait like good real good Christians?

1. Wait, Christmas with hope.

We've to wait for the Christmas with a great hope. Maybe, someone ask what kind of hope? Not a hope of new clothes, an extra pocket money or gifts as I did in my childhood but we have to wait with great hope of salvation, great hope to meet Messiah. Great hope to meet Our Saviour. Hope to have a new life and deliverance. Prepare ourselves for the 2nd.coming of Jesus Christ.

Romans 8 : 24 ~ 25

For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for

what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Titus 2 : 13

while we wait for the blessed hope the glorious appearing of our great God & Savior, Jesus Christ,

Let's wait for the Christmas with a great hope of new life what we have in Lord Jesus.

2. Wait, Christmas with repentance.

2nd. thing we've to do in waiting for the Christmas is a repentance. We've to know that Jesus born in a flesh not to have a vacation but Jesus born to give us eternal life. To have eternal life, we’ve to repent. Consciously or unconsciously we did lots of sins. We've to ask for the forgiveness. We've to repent our sins. Wash and cleanse ourselves with the blood of Jesus Christ. Which flows from the Calvary. Jesus Christ started His ministry by preaching repentance. (Matthew 4 : 17)

Acts 3 : 19

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be

wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Luke 24 : 47 (First Portion)

and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations,

So, brothers and sisters let's wait for the Christmas by repenting our sins in Jesus name.

3. Wait, Christmas with forgiving, loving & sharing others.

3rd. thing what we've to do to wait for the Christmas is a sharing with others. Christmas mean to share gospel, share Jesus, share the love of Jesus with others. Not verbally but practically.

We are going to collect some gifts or special offering for poor and disable people. I put small CHRISTMAS TREE behind there. You can find some name tags hanging on it. That's not for a decoration. Those names denote sharing your love. There are lots of people around us. Who can not celebrate Christmas cause of there circumstances. Let us help forgive others as Jesus forgave.

Luke 23 : 34 ~~ Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.

Acts 2 : 45 ~ 47

Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.

And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

4. Wait, Christmas by making harmony.

4th. thing what we've to do to prepare ourselves for the Christmas is a making harmony with one an other. Jesus came or born in a flesh to make harmony. Harmony with God and with God’s creation. It’s very easy to make harmony with beloved one’s. Let’s make Harmony with our enemies.

2nd. Corinthians 2 : 17 ~ 18 (Ministry of reconciliation or ministry of Harmony)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

Romans 12 : 10

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

1st. Corinthians 1 : 10

I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another

so that there may be no divisions among you & that you may be perfectly united in mind & thought.

5. Wait Christmas by giving thanks.

5th. thing what we've to do to wait for the Christmas is a give thanks to God in all circumstances. There are many who give thanks only in good circumstances. But in bad or hard times people start to complain, grumble or mumble against God & people. Thanks is way to have countless blessings.

1st. Thessalonians 5 : 18

give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Dear friends, in all circumstance pray continually and give thanks not grumble or mumble.

Psalms 50 : 23 ~~ He who sacrifices thank offerings honors Me, and he prepares

the way so that I may show Him the salvation of God."

Lesson for us :-

Today, we learned “Are we ready for the Christmas?” We don't have to wait Christmas like businessmen or pagans. But we've to wait like sincere Christians. Like Mary, Simeon, Magi's and many others who wait for consolation of Israel. Let's wait with great hope of salvation by repenting. Wait by sharing our possessions with love, making harmony & forgiving. Let's give thanks & be joyful in all circumstances.

Let's Pray.

Father God, we are so thankful to You that You saved us and gave eternal life by giving Your Son Jesus. Jesus He born to suffer on our behalf. We strongly believe that Jesus is the only way to You.

With our own strength or wisdom we can’t do anything. But we can turn impossible into possible only in Jesus name. Lord anoint us with the Holy Spirit. ~ We pray in Jesus name. Amen

크리스마스를 위한 준비가 되었습니까? (2)

지난 주일에 시편 150편을 통하여 ‘기도와 찬양’에 대해 배웠습니다. 하나님께서 응답하시든지 응답하시지 않든지 기도를 멈추거나 중단하지 마십시오. 때때로 하나님께서 우리의 믿음과 인내를 시험하십니다. 우리 하나님은 살아계신 하나님이십니다. 그분은 들으시고 지켜보시고 그분의 정확한 때에 응답하십니다. 오직 계속해서 기도하고 주님을 찬양하십시오. 18일후면 크리스마스, 우리 주 예수 그리스도가 이 땅에 탄생하신 날이 될 것입니다. 그분은 하나님과 사람들 사이에 화목을 이루기 위해 태어나셨습니다. 예수님은 그분의 생명을 주심으로써 우리를 구원하기 위해 태어나셨습니다.

누가복음 19 : 10 ~~ 인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려 함이니라.

         18일 후면 크리스마스가 될 것입니다. 우리자신에게 질문합시다. 크리스마스를 위한 준비가 되었습니까?

전 세계 사람들이 크리스마스를 기다립니다. 우리 주변에 시장, 쇼핑상가 어디에나 커다란 크리스마스트리와 크리스마스 장식품을 볼 수 있습니다. 사실상 이런 사람들은 그리스도나 크리스마스가 아니라 사업이 잘 되기를 기다립니다. 제가 어렸을 때 부모님과 어른들이 용돈, 선물, 새 옷을 주셨기 때문에 저는 크리스마스를 기다렸습니다. 오늘, 저는 어떻게 크리스마스를 기다려야 하는지에 여러분의 관심을 끌고자 합니다. 우리는 다른 불신자(이교도)와 같이 기다립니까 아니면 진정한 좋은 크리스천처럼 기다립니까?

1. 소망을 가지고 크리스마스를 기다리라.

우리는 커다란 소망을 가지고 크리스마스를 기다려야 합니다. 혹시 누군가는 어떤 소망이냐고 물을 것입니다. 제가 어린 시절 그랬던 것처럼 새 옷, 용돈, 선물의 소망이 아니라 구원의 소망, 메시야를 만나는 소망으로 기다려야 합니다. 우리 구세주를 만나고자 하는 큰 소망, 새 생명과 구원을 얻고자 하는 소망입니다. 예수 그리스도의 재림을 준비하십시오.

로마서 8 : 24 ~ 25

우리가 소망으로 구원을 얻었으매 보이는 소망이 소망이 아니니 보는 것을

누가 바라리요 만일 우리가 보지 못하는 것을 바라면 참음으로 기다릴지니라.

디도서 2 : 13

복스러운 소망과 우리의 크신 하나님 구주 예수 그리스도의 영광이 나타나심을 기다리게 하셨으니.

주 예수 안에서 얻을 새 생명의 큰 소망을 가지고 크리스마스를 기다립시다.

2. 회개하면서 크리스마스를 기다리라.

크리스마스를 기다리며 해야 할 두 번째는 회개입니다. 예수님은 휴가를 오신 것이 아니라 우리에게 영생을 주시려고 육신으로 태어나셨음을 알아야 합니다. 영생을 얻으려면 회개해야 합니다. 의식적으로나 무의식적으로 우리는 수많은 죄를 짓습니다. 우리는 용서를 구해야 합니다. 우리 죄를 회개해야 합니다. 갈보리에서 흘리신 예수 그리스도의 피로 우리자신을 씻고 깨끗하게 하십시오.

예수 그리스도는 회개를 전함으로써 사역을 시작하셨습니다. (마태복음 4 : 17)

사도행전 3 : 19

그러므로 너희가 회개하고 돌이켜 너희 죄 없이 함을 받으라

이같이 하면 새롭게 되는 날이 주 앞으로부터 이를 것이요.

누가복음 24 : 47

또 그의 이름으로 죄 사함을 받게 하는 회개가 예루살렘에서

시작하여 모든 족속에게 전파될 것이 기록되었으니.

형제자매 여러분, 예수의 이름으로 우리 죄를 회개하면서 크리스마스를 기다립시다.

3. 다른 사람을 용서하고 사랑하고 나누면서 크리스마스를 기다리라.

크리스마스를 기다리며 우리가 해야 할 세 번째는 다른 사람과 나누는 것입니다. 크리스마스는 복음을 나누고 예수를 나누고 다른 사람과 예수의 사랑을 나누는 것을 의미합니다. 말로만이 아니라 행동으로 하십시오. 가난하고 무력한 사람들을 위해 선물과 특별헌금을 모을 것입니다. 뒤에 작은 크리스마스트리를 두었습니다. 거기에 이름표가 매달려 있는 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 그것은 장식이 아니라 그 이름들은 여러분의 사랑 나눔의 표시입니다. 상황 때문에 크리스마스를 축하할 수 없는 사람들이 우리 주변에 많이 있습니다. 예수님이 용서하셨던 것처럼 다른 사람을 용서합시다.

누가복음 23 : 34

이에 예수께서 이르시되 아버지 저들을 사하여 주옵소서 자기들이 하는 것을 알지 못함이니이다.

사도행전 2 : 45 ~ 47

또 재산과 소유를 팔아 각 사람의 필요를 따라 나눠주며 날마다 마음을 같이하여 성전에 모이기를

힘쓰고 집에서 떡을 떼며 기쁨과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 먹고 하나님을 찬미하며 또 온

백성에게 칭송을 받으니 주께서 구원 받는 사람을 날마다 더하게 하시니라.

4. 화목하면서 크리스마스를 기다리라.

크리스마스를 위해 준비해야 할 네 번째는 서로 화목을 이루는 것입니다. 예수님은 화목을 이루기

위해 육신으로 태어나시고 오셨습니다. 하나님과 그리고 하나님의 피조물과의 화목입니다.

사랑하는 사람과의 화목을 이루는 것은 매우 쉽습니다. 우리 적들과도 화목을 이룹시다.

고린도후서 5 : 17 ~ 18 (화목의 직분, 하모니의 직분)

그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새

것이 되었도다 모든 것이 하나님께로서 났으며 그가 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를

자기와 화목하게 하시고 또 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직분을 주셨으니.

로마서 12 : 10

형제를 사랑하여 서로 우애하고 존경하기를 서로 먼저 하며

고린도전서 1 : 10

형제들아 내가 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 너희를 권하노니 모두가 같은

말을 하고 너희 가운데 분쟁이 없이 같은 마음과 같은 뜻으로 온전히 합하라.

5. 감사하면서 크리스마스를 기다리라.

크리스마스를 기다리며 해야 할 다섯 번째는 모든 상황에서 하나님께 감사하는 것입니다. 좋은 상황에서는 감사하는 사람들이 많습니다. 하지만 나쁘거나 힘든 시기에 사람들은 하나님과 사람들에게

불평하고 투덜대기 시작합니다. 감사는 무수한 축복을 받는 길입니다.

데살로니가전서 5 : 18 ~ 범사에 감사하라 이것이 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희를 향하신 하나님의 뜻이니라.

모든 상황에서 투덜대지 말고 끊임없이 기도하고 감사하십시오.

시편 50 : 23

감사로 제사를 드리는 자가 나를 영화롭게 하나니 그의

행위를 옳게 하는 자에게 내가 하나님의 구원을 보이리라.

교훈 :-

오늘 ‘크리스마스를 위한 준비가 되었습니까?’에 대해 배웠습니다. 우리는 크리스마스를 사업가나 이교도처럼 기다려서는 안됩니다. 신실한 크리스천처럼, 마리아, 시므온, 동방박사와 이스라엘의 위로를 기다리는 많은 사람들처럼 기다려야 합니다. 회개하면서 구원의 큰 소망을 가지고 기다립시다. 우리의 소유를 사랑으로 나누면서, 화목을 이루고 용서하면서 기다리십시오. 감사하며 모든 상황에서 기뻐합시다.

기도합시다.

하나님 아버지, 당신의 아들 예수를 주심으로써 우리를 구원하시고 영생을 주심을 너무나 감사드립니다.

예수님은 우리 때문에 고통당하시려고 태어나셨습니다. 예수님이 당신께로 가는 유일한 길임을 굳게 믿습니다. 우리의 힘이나 지혜로는 아무것도 할 수 없습니다. 하지만 오직 예수의 이름으로는 불가능을 가능으로 바꿀 수 있습니다. 주님, 성령으로 기름부어 주옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
