Hello! I am Ms Syirah. I am a lecturer and counsellor here at DISTED College.

With a Master’s in Counselling from the University of Science Malaysia and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from HELP University, I bring years of experience working closely with children with special needs. My approach centers on creating customized IEPs, (Individualized Education Plans) , and EIPs, (Early Intervention Plans) , aiming to nurture each child’s strengths and needs.

As an EAP Counselor, I have worked with diverse groups and individuals across Asia, including in Thailand, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, and the Philippines, supporting them in managing life’s challenges and developing lasting coping strategies. Whether in a group setting or one on one, my focus is on empowering clients to build resilience, embrace well being, and approach life with confidence.

말레이시아 과학 대학교에서 상담 석사 학위를, HELP 대학교에서 심리학 학사 학위를 취득한 저는 특별한 도움이 필요한 아동과 긴밀히 협력한 다년간의 경험을 가지고 있습니다. 저의 접근 방식은 각 아동의 강점과 필요를 육성하는 것을 목표로 하는 맞춤형 IEP(개별 교육 계획)와 EIP(조기 개입 계획)를 만드는 데 중점을 둡니다.
EAP 카운슬러로서 저는 태국, 일본, 한국, 베트남, 미얀마, 인도, 파키스탄, 필리핀 등 아시아 전역의 다양한 그룹 및 개인과 협력하여 삶의 도전 과제를 관리하고 지속적인 대처 전략을 개발하는 데 도움을 주었습니다. 그룹 환경이든 일대일이든, 저는 고객이 회복력을 키우고, 웰빙을 수용하고, 자신감 있게 삶에 다가갈 수 있도록 지원하는 데 중점을 두고 있습니다.
