화성 우리꽃식물원 사진반 교육이 있어서
방문했습니다....
수업 시작하기 전에 잠시 몇분동안 담아보았습니다.
몇주 전부터 소망나무를 촬영해야겠다 마음먹었어요...
그런데 흡족하진 않아요,
하지만, 다음 기회를 또 고대하면서 올립니다...
오는 10월 9일 ‘백만송이 들국화 정원’이란 주제로 임시오픈을 앞두고 있는 화성우리꽃식물원. 이 사업을 총괄하고 있는 화성시농업기술센터 김경배 소장은 우리꽃식물원에 대한 꿈이 원대하다. “시작은 미약합니다. 어려움도 많았습니다. 하지만 지금은 희망이 보입니다. 저에겐 큰 꿈이 있습니다. 바로 화성우리꽃식물원을 대한민국 최고의 자생식물원으로 만드는 것입니다” 요즘 김 소장은 식물원 임시개장 막바지 준비에 눈코 뜰 새 없다. 갖은 악재로 수차례 개장일정이 미뤄지는 등 고비에 고비를 넘기며 이끌어 온 식물원이기에 지칠 수가 없다. 정년을 바라보는 상황에서도 그가 우리꽃식물원에 모든 열정을 쏟아 붓는

김경배 소장
이유다. 1977년 4급 공무원(현직 7급 공무원 상당)으로 화성군농촌지도소에서 첫 공직생활을 시작한 김 소장은 경기도청과 화성시청을 오가며 농업발전과 농어민을 위해 헌신했다. 김 소장의 능력을 높이 샀던 최영근 화성시장은 화성농업발전을 명분으로 경기도에서 근무하던 그에게 러브콜을 보냈고 그 뜻을 받은 그는 지난 2006년 8월 화성에 둥지를 틀었다. 식물원이 최대 위기를 맞았던 지난해 도청 국장으로 승진할 수 있는 기회가 주어졌지만 그는 퇴임 전 마지막으로 찾아온 승진기회를 마다했다. 승진 때문에 멈춰선 식물원을 등지는 것은 스스로의 양심을 저버리는 일이라고 판단했기 때문이다. “지난해는 항상 사표를 지니고 다녔죠. 식물원조성사업 총책임자로서 불가항력적인 일이 발생할 경우 책임지기 위해서였죠. 그러면서도 머릿속에는 온통 식물원을 완성해야 한다는 일념뿐이었습니다” 공사업체와 법정소송으로 두 명의 부하직원으로부터 사직서를 받기도 했지만 그는 표류중인 자생식물원을 끝까지 포기하지 않았다. 김 소장은 모든 문제점을 자신의 소신으로 풀어냈다. 당시 식물원 관련 수사를 담당했던 경찰관도 온유하면서도 당당한 그의 소신에 존경심을 표했다. 식물원 개장을 코앞에 둔 지금 그는 몸은 두 배로 바쁘지만 마음은 기쁘다. 시민에게 최고의 휴식공간을 제공한다는 기대감 때문이다. “우리꽃식물원은 시민 휴식공간이자 도시민과 농민이 만나 하나 되는 교류의 장이 될 것입니다” 그의 입에서는 식물원에 대한 자랑이 끊이질 않는다. 100만 송이 들국화 정원, 은행나무길, 250살 해송 ‘소망나무’, 소원성취 화강석 돌탑, 제주도에서 태어난 280살 팽나무, 자생식물 석산 등 주제별 스토리를 가진 우리꽃식물원에 대한 설명이 그것. 바로 김 소장이 나날이 변화를 거듭하는 식물원을 바라보면서 큰 꿈에 대한 희망을 갖는 이유다.

늙고 가난한 사람들은 얼마나 아름다운지
그들을 묘사하기에 적합한 말을 찾을 수가 없다
인물화가들과 거리를 산책하다가 한 사람에게 시선을 주고 있는데
그들은 ' 아, 저 지저분한 사람들 좀 봐' '저런 류의 인간들이란' 하고 말하더구나
그런 표현을 화가한테서 듣게 되리라고는 상상도 못했지
그래 그런 일이 나를 생각에 잠기게 한다
그런 장면은 사람들이 가장 진지하고 가장 아름다운 것을
의도적으로 피하는 것이라 느껴졌다 (1883.3)

이름은 잘 모르지만 누가 봐주지 않아도 저만치 홀로 피어있는 작은 들꽃 화려하지 않아도 외로운 산행길에 잘못하면 밟힐것 같은 수줍어도 그리움은 그대로 간직한채 네가 나를 닮고 내가 너를 닮아 문득 발길 멈추고 함께 있고 싶었던 그냥 지어도 아무도 신경 쓰지 않는 내 들꽃처럼 살다가도 봐주는 한 사람만 있어도 후회는 없으리....

다른 사람들 눈에는 내가 어떻게 비칠까?
보잘것없는 사람, 괴벽스러운 사람, 비위에 맞지 않는 사람
사회적 지위도 없고 앞으로도 어떤 사회적 지위를 갖지도 못할
한마디로 최하 중의 최하급 사람....그래 좋다
설령 그 말이 옳다 해도 언젠가는 내 작품을 통해 그런 기이한 사람
그런 보잘것없는 사람의 마음속에 무엇이 들어있는지를 보여주겠다 (1882.7)

별이 반짝이는 밤하늘은 늘 나를 꿈꾸게 한다
그럴 땐 묻곤 하지. 프랑스 지도 위에 표시된 검은 점에게 가듯
왜 창공에서 반짝이는 저 별에게 갈 수 없는 것일까
타라스콩이나 루앙에 가려면 기차를 타야 하는 것처럼
별까지 가기 위해서는 죽음을 맞이해야 한다
기차를 탈 수 없듯, 살아 있는 동안에는 별에 갈 수 없다. 증기선이나 합승마차
철도 등이 운송수단이라면 콜레라, 결석, 결핵, 암 등은 천상의 운송수단인지도 모른다
늙어서 평화롭게 죽는다는 건 별까지 걸어간다는 것이지 (1888.6)

첫댓글 하이디님, 고흐의 그림을 빈센트를 들으며 본것은 처음이네요. 좋아하는 노래에다 고흐의 그림을 보면서 끓어터질것 같은 이마음 표현할 길 없네요. 못보던 작품 많이 보면서 고흐를 존경하게 되었답니다.그의 일생이 다시 떠오르며 맘이 아픕니다.
