Irritable Bowel Syndrome Should Be Treated on Liver, Not on Colon.

Irritblable bowel syndrome is very simple symptom. However
people think that it is a incurable disease due to the education
from the internists. As you know the word of syndrome means that
there is no way of treatment because the cause of disease is not
known. However in the view of east asian medicine, the symptom
is very simple. That is a sign of the liver that is too tire to absorb
the food for energization.

Now I mention the physiology and pathology  and one case as
follows.

I. The Symptom of IBS
    Lots of stool per day.
    Watery stool or chronical diarrhea
    Bad smell
    Dark brown or chocolate colored stool
    Feeling released after discharging.
    Much more in case of taking artificial foods.
    
II. The Phyiology and the Pathology
    It is easy to think the symptom is originated from the colon
    because colone works for the discharge of stool. But this is the
    limit of western medicine based on anatomical structure.
    Why should the colon discharge the digested foods hastely?
    The reason is for the liver.  This is the phyiology and patholgy
    of IBS.

    And then what do you think is wrong with the liver?
    First, constitutionally the liver is weak ,
    or the ki of liver congestive
    or the short of blood in liver
    or the humidity in liver
    or the unbalance with other organs
    or other complexive reasons.

III. Treatment Method
    According to the reasons of symptom, we can choose the way
    of treatments as follows.

    To enrich the liver
    To release the liver
    To dry the liver
    To improver the blood circulation( for heart)
    To get rid of humidity( for spleen)
    To improve water circulation( for kidney)
    To evaporate fever and sweat ( for lung)
    and finally to design the presription with considering of the above.

IV. Why the Antidiarrheals Should Be Avoided?
    The cause of the symptom is in liver and other digestional
    organs so the antidiarrheals make the liver tired. If the
    medication as this should be lasted long, this will bring about
    severe congestion of liver Ki and finally some kinds of cancers
    in liver or pancreas or spleen.

V. Herbal Treatment Case
   The cases are too much usual to record. But as an information
   for the doctors and silly patients I write one of  standard case
   as follows.

    Student
    Address : Okeumdong, Sonpagu, Seoul, Korea

2. Chief Complaints
      He usually has loose bowels(IBS) and sometimes 5~6 times.
      
3. Other Symptoms and Signs
    He is always sleepy all day long.
    He usually catches a cold when he gets some stresses.
    He feels dry on his eyes.
    He sweats much even when he does not move.
    He usually feels bloated.
    He does not remember when he had felt morning erection.
    He feels the pain on the head whenever he faces cold wind.
      
    Pulse :  A little float, big, a little tensioned.
    Tongue : Purple colored and watery on apex and a liitle thick and
                  yellowish coated.
    Abdomen : Stiffen and pains all over upper abdomen with
                     finger's pressing
                     Both of CVA severe pains with finger's drumming
                                          
4. Diagnosis
     Liver weak and congestion
     Heart small
     Digestional organs small
     Lung weak.
     Kidney weak.
  
5. Pathology
     Weak liver makes the blood poor.
     Conestive liver makes fever on the head.
     Small heart makes poor circulation on pelvic area.
     Small digestion organs cannot support the liver for digestion.
     Weak lung worsens the kidney and the colon for the irrigation
     of inside water.  
     Weak kindey worsens the colon convey lots of the water.
     and as a result the best way to discharge the bad products
     should be lots of diarrhea. We call it this as IBS.
    
    So liver is in charge of IBS but colone is never at first..

6. Prescription
    Please refer to above para III of "Treatment Methord".
    
7. Result  
  
    1st Prescription
    To get rid of humidity is main and other ways are secondary.   

     1st Result
     He feels easy on abdomen but other symptoms are same.  
    
     2nd Presription
     Same as 1st but added the herbs for purifying blood.
   
     2nd Result
     Very easy on abdomen,
     No more diarrhea and frequent stools!
     Still the fatigue and the sweat remain.
     No pain on low back with fnger drumming.
     Still stiffen abdominal muscles but no pain with finger press.
     Wonderful! The morning erection often comes back!        
    
     3rd Prescription
     Same as 2nd but added the herbs for blood circulation.

     3rd Result
     I couldn't confiorm the result imediately but after 4 months later,
     he come again because he felt some diarrhea facing final exam.
     He looked very animating and requested to new prescription for
     safe examination. This means IBS was treated completely in
     usual time.

     4th Prescription
     Same as 3rd deleted the herbs for purifying blood but added
     for improving Ki

     4th Result
     His mom brought his brother for treatment after some later and
     told that he was very good and studied very hard without any
     problems so far.
