Do you have any gift for Jesus?

Dear brothers & sisters, many years ago when I was back in my home town. On each Christmas we give gifts and we receive lots of gifts from our friends, relatives, and beloved ones. It is so nice to have a gift. Isn’t it? Friends, in our church we also have gift exchange ritual of custom. Gifts exchanging is not Biblical command but we do, with this we can show our love for others. God is love and He showed His love. Our God the Father showed His love by giving us His Son Jesus as a gift of love and saved us.

John 3 : 16

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,

that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Friends, every Christmas we exchange gifts with others. Magis brought three gifts for Jesus.

Matthew 2 : 11

On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, & they bowed down & worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Dear brothers and sisters, Magis brought Gold — Fankincense — Myrrh.

1. Gold denote.

Gold denote Jesus as a King of kings. All the rich & powerful people showed their richness through gold. Gold showed the Kingship of Jesus. The magi’s gifts were not simply a demonstration of wealth – they conveyed deeper meaning. The gold represents Jesus’ Kingship.

Daniel 7 : 13 ~ 14

“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

2. Fankincense denote.

Frankincense is an expensive fragrance made from trees in India and Arabia. The frankincense represents Jesus’ deity. In the Old Testament, frankincense was traditionally burned in the temple as an offering to God.

Leviticus 2 : 2

& take it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour & oil, together with all the incense, & burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

By bringing this gift, the Magi affirmed Jesus was not ordinary man; He is both fully man and fully God.

Colossians 2 : 9 ~ 10

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ

you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

3. Myrrh denote.

Myrrh is a specific kind of costly perfume made from rare thorn bushes in

Arabia and Ethiopia that is used as an antiseptic anointing oil and embalming fluid.

It was a custom of the Jews to give those who were condemned to death by crucifixion

"wine mingled with myrrh" to produce insensibility. This drugged wine was probably partaken of

by the two malefactors, but when the Roman soldiers pressed it upon Jesus "He received it not"

Mark 15 : 23

Then they offered Him wine mixed with myrrh, but He did not take it.

Dear brothers and sisters today we are not gathered here to talk about the gifts, what we received or what we give to our friends and children. Or gifts of Magis. But today, I want ask a question to each one of us, including myself. “Do we prepare a gift for Jesus in this coming year 2026?”

Brothers and sisters, here I am going to share gifts for Jesus. Read and make it your gifts for Jesus.

⓵. Jesus as Son of God.

Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet, second to Muhammad. Hindus & Sikh believe God among many other gods. There are lots of gods in Hinduism. Some say 33 crore. I don’t know exactly. But friends, today, I want to let you know that we have to believe in Jesus as a Son of God not just as a prophet.

Matthew 16 : 16 ~~ Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

John 3 : 16 ~~ For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,

that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

⓶. Jesus as Saviour.

Brothers and sisters, second gift for Jesus is believe in Jesus as a Son God & Saviour of whole universe.

1st John 4 : 14 And we have seen & testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

John 1 : 29 ~~ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,

“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

John 4 : 42

They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now

we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

⓷. Prepare the way for Jesus 2nd. coming. (Judgment)

Friends, third gift what we can give to Jesus is that we have to believe in Jesus that He suffered died and risen from the deads and coming soon too judge us. At first Jesus came cause of love to save but we have to know and be sure that He is coming soon to judge us according to our faith & deeds.

John 14 : 1 ~ 3

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God believe also in Me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go & prepare a place for you, I will come back & take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am.

James 5 : 9 ~~ Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters,

or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!

Revelation 1 : 7 ~~ “Look, He is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see Him, even those who

pierced Him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of Him.” So shall it be! Amen.

Matthew 28 : 19 ~~ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,

Mark 1 : 3

“a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.’”

⓸. Obey Jesus’s teaching.

Friends, last and final gift what we can give to Jesus is obey the teaching of Jesus. We have to listen the teaching of Jesus and obey Jesus’s teaching very carefully. Let us show Jesus through our deeds.

John 14 : 15 ~~ If you love Me, keep My commands.

John 13 : 13 ~~ You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.

Conclusion :-

Jesus is Saviour and Son of living God. Let’s listen, read and live according to the teaching of Jesus.

Always remember Jesus is Alpha and Omega, Beginning and the end, First and last. Everything is for Him, from and through Him. -- Philippians 4 : 13 I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.

예수를 위한 선물이 있습니까?

형제자매 여러분, 여러해 전에 제가 고국에 있었을 때 우리는 크리스마스 때마다 친구, 친척 그리고 사랑하는 사람들과 많은 선물을 주고 받았습니다. 선물을 받는 것은 너무 멋진 일 아닙니까? 우리 교회에서 우리도 의례적으로 선물 교환을 합니다. 선물 교환은 성경적인 명령은 아니지만 이것으로 다른 사람들에게 사랑을 보여줄 수 있기에 합니다. 하나님은 사랑이시고 그분은 사랑을 보여주셨습니다. 우리 하나님 아버지는 아들 예수를 사랑의 선물로 주시고 우리를 구원하심으로써 그분의 사랑을 보여주셨습니다.

요한복음 3 : 16

하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는

그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라.

크리스마스마다 우리는 다른 사람과 선물을 교환합니다. 동방박사들은 예수를 위해 세 가지 선물을 가져왔습니다.

마태복음 2 : 11

집에 들어가 아기와 그의 어머니 마리아가 함께 있는 것을 보고 엎드려

아기께 경배하고 보배합을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드리니라.

형제자매 여러분, 동방박사들은 황금, 유향, 몰약을 가져왔습니다.

1. 황금은 나타냅니다.

황금은 왕 중의 왕으로서의 예수를 나타냅니다. 부유하고 유력한 사람들은 황금을 통하여 자신의 부를 보여줍니다. 황금은 예수의 왕 되심을 보여줍니다. 동방박사들의 선물은 단순히 부의 표현이 아니고 더 깊은 의미를 전달합니다. 황금은 예수의 왕 되심을 의미합니다.

다니엘 7 : 13 ~ 14

내가 또 환상 중에 보니 인자 같은 이가 하늘 구름을 타고 와서 옛적부터 항상 계신 이에게 나아가

그 앞으로 인도되매 그에게 권세와 영광과 나라를 주고 모든 백성과 나라들과 다른

언어를 말하는 모든 자들이 그를 섬기게 하였으니 그의 권세는 소멸되지

아니하는 영원한 권세요 그의 나라는 멸망하지 아니할 것이니라.

2. 유향은 나타냅니다.

유향은 인도와 아라비아에서 나무로부터 나오는 값비싼 향료입니다. 유향은 예수의 신성을 표현합니다. 구약 성경에서 유향은 성전에서 관례대로 하나님께 제물로 불태웠습니다.

레위기 2 : 2

아론의 자손 제사장들에게로 가져갈 것이요 제사장은 그 고운 가루 한 움큼과 기름과 그 모든

유향을 가져다가 기념물로 제단 위에서 불사를지니 이는 화제라 여호와께 향기로운 냄새니라.

이 선물을 가져옴으로써 동방박사들은 예수가 보통 사람이 아니라는

것을 증언했습니다. 그분은 완전히 사람이고 완전히 하나님이십니다.

골로새서 2 : 9 ~ 10

그 안에는 신성의 모든 충만이 육체로 거하시고 너희도 그

안에서 충만하여졌으니 그는 모든 통치자와 권세의 머리시라.

3. 몰약은 나타냅니다.

몰약은 아라비아와 에티오피아에서 희귀한 가시나무에서 얻어진 특유한 값비싼 향료이며 살균용 바르는 기름과 시체 방부처리액으로 사용되었습니다. 십자가에 못 박힘으로 사형 선고를 받은 사람에게 무감각하도록 몰약을 섞은 포도주를 주는 것은 유대인의 관습이었습니다. 두 죄인은 아마도 이 약 탄 포도주를 먹었겠지만 로마 병사가 이것을 억지로 주었을 때 예수님은 받지 않았습니다.

마가복음 15 : 23 ~~~ 몰약을 탄 포도주를 주었으나 예수께서 받지 아니하시니라.

형제자매 여러분, 오늘 우리는 친구나 자녀에게 받은 것이나 준 것 또는 동방박사의 선물에 대해 말하려고 모인 것이 아닙니다. 저를 포함하여 우리 각자에게 질문하고자 합니다.

“다가오는 2026년에 예수를 위한 선물을 준비했습니까?”

형제자매 여러분, 예수를 위한 선물에 대해 나누려고 합니다. 예수를 위한 여러분의 선물을 만드십시오.

⓵ 하나님의 아들로서의 예수

무슬림은 예수를 선지자, 두 번째 마호메트로 믿습니다. 힌두교도와 시카교도는 많은 신들 중의 하나님으로 믿습니다. 힌두교에는 많은 신들이 있습니다. 어떤 사람은 3억 3000이라고도 말합니다. 저는 정확히 모르겠습니다. 오늘, 우리는 예수를 단지 선지자가 아니라 하나님의 아들로 믿어야 함을 알려드리고자 합니다.

마태복음 16 : 16 ~ 시몬 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주는 그리스도시요 살아계신 하나님의 아들이시니이다

요한복음 3 : 16

하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는

그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라.

⓶ 구세주로서의 예수.

형제자매 여러분, 예수를 위한 두 번째 선물은 예수를 하나님의 아들과 만물의 구세주로 믿는 것입니다.

요한1서 4 : 14 ~~~ 아버지가 아들을 세상의 구주로 보내신 것을 우리가 보았고 또 증언하노니.

요한복음 1 : 29

이튿날 요한이 예수께서 자기에게 나아오심을 보고 이르되 보라 세상 죄를 지고 가는 하나님의 어린 양이로다

요한복음 4 : 42

그 여자에게 말하되 이제 우리가 믿는 것은 네 말로 인함이 아니니 이는 우리가 친히 듣고 그가 참으로 세상의 구주신 줄 앎이라 하였더라.

⓷ 예수 재림(심판)을 위한 길을 준비하라.

예수께 드릴 수 있는 세 번째 선물은 예수님은 고통당하시고 죽으시고 죽음에서 일어나셨고 심판하기 위해 곧 오심을 믿어야 한다는 것입니다. 처음에 예수님은 구원하시려고 사랑 때문에 오셨지만 우리의 믿음과 행위에 따라 심판하시려고 틀림없이 곧 오신다는 것을 알아야 합니다.

요한복음 14 : 1 ~ 3

너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라 하나님을 믿으니 또 나를 믿으라 내 아버지 집에 거할 곳이 많도다 그렇지 않으면 너희에게 일렀으리라 내가 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하러 가노니 가서 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하면 내가 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여 나 있는 곳에 너희도 있게 하리라.

야고보서 5 : 9

형제들아 서로 원망하지 말라 그리하여야 심판을 면하리라 보라 심판주가 문 밖에 서 계시니라.

요한계시록 1 : 7

볼지어다 그가 구름을 타고 오시리라 각 사람의 눈이 그를 보겠고 그를 찌른 자들도

볼 것이요 땅에 있는 모든 족속이 그로 말미암아 애곡하리니 그러하리라 아멘.

마태복음 28 : 19 ~~~ 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아

마가복음 1 : 3

광야에 외치는 자의 소리가 있어 이르되 너희는 주의 길을 준비하라 그의 오실 길을 곧게 하라.

⓸ 예수의 가르침에 순종하라.

우리가 예수께 드릴 수 있는 마지막 선물은 예수의 가르침에 순종하는 것입니다. 예수의 가르침을 듣고 예수의 가르침에 매우 신중하게 순종해야 합니다. 우리 행위를 통해 예수를 보입시다.

요한복음 14 : 15 ~~~ 너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명을 지키리라.

요한복음 13 : 13 ~~~ 너희가 나를 선생이라 또는 주라 하니 너희 말이 옳도다 내가 그러하다.

결론 :-

예수님은 구세주이시고 살아계신 하나님의 아들입니다. 예수의 가르침을 듣고 읽고 그에 따라 삽시다. 예수님은 알파와 오메가, 시작과 끝, 처음이며 마지막임을 항상 기억하십시오.

만물은 그분을 위하여, 그분으로부터, 그분을 통하여 존재합니다.

빌립보서 4 : 13 ~~~ 내게 능력 주시는 자 안에서 내가 모든 것을 할 수 있느니라.
