Maths Department hosted an action-packed Amazing Math Race

Last week, our Maths Department hosted an action-packed Amazing Math Race, where students put their problem-solving skills to the test.

Our Year 7 & 8 students cracked codes, created Tangram shapes, measured area and perimeter using their feet, and solved puzzles in the Principal’s office. Our Year 9 & 10 students on the other hand tackled the circumference of trees, and logarithm challenges, and applied Pythagoras’ Theorem on the badminton field. Students raced between stations, solving clues and completing tasks with teamwork, speed, and mathematical skills.

Congratulations to all participants, and thank you to our Maths Department for making learning so much fun!

지난주에 우리 수학과에서는 학생들이 문제 해결 능력을 시험해보는 놀라운 수학 경주를 개최했습니다.
7학년과 8학년 학생들은 코드를 해독하고, 탱그램 모양을 만들고, 발을 이용해 면적과 둘레를 측정하고, 교장실에서 퍼즐을 풀었습니다. 반면 9학년과 10학년 학생들은 나무 둘레와 로그 문제를 해결하고, 배드민턴 경기장에 피타고라스 정리를 적용했습니다. 학생들은 역을 오가며 팀워크, 속도, 수학적 능력으로 단서를 풀고 과제를 완수했습니다.
