I heard that BK got promoted to Korean olympic baseball team,
and might leave the Sox for while.
I think he has to go because of the game between their arch-rival Japan.
guess Williamson will going to be our closer.

내가 듣기론 BK가 한국올림픽야구팀에 지명되어 삭스를 잠깐 떠날지 모른다고 한다. 일본과의 라이벌전도 있고하니 가야한다.(아마 한국분인듯)
윌리엄슨이 클로저역을 수행할 듯...

I still don't believe they will let that happen. Sox have his contract, Sox pay him, you can't even see another Dr. without the Sox saying you can..............therefore, I just can't see it.

Exactly how long would we be talking about here? I would be very surprised if the Sox management let him go for an extended period of time when we're still in the middle of a pennant race. The fans get upset if someone misses one day for personal reasons so if he plans to go for a prolonged time that is not going to sit well and he'd better be prepared to take the heat.
When are these games happening? We need a few more facts and where did you hear he might be leaving?

정확히 얼마나더 우리가 이런 야그를 해야하나 지금은 패넌트레이스 중이고 삭스 경영진이 그를 보내는 것은 기도 안찬다.
그가 장기간 개인적인이유로 안보인다면 팬들은 열받을 것이다.

i dunt know about two weeks?
they're competing for baseball olympics in athens 2004
two asian nations are allowed to be in the olympics
and there are about 8 nations compeing,
and my two nations to make the olympics are "big two" in asia
Japan and Korea.

2004아테네 올림픽 베이스볼은 8개의 아시아 국가들이 참가하며 2팀만이 본선에 간다. 빅 투는 일본과 한국이 될듯.

Where did you hear this? I am a HUGE BK fan and run my own site for/about him and I have not heard this. Wonder if if he really will go or not. But then does that mean Matsui, Ichiro, Shigetosi Hasegawa, and other Oriental players will be going too, or just certain ones?

I think BK can't go even if he wants to.
According to a Korean newspaper, MLB sent KBO a notification saying anyone listed on 25-man roster can't be transferred during regular seasons.

Additionally, Kim got exempted from mandantory military service when he got Gold medal for Asian game. So, there's no excuse.

More importantly, I think BK wants to see the second ring!!!!!

한국언론에 따르면 MLB는 KBO에게 25인로스터는 정규시즌중 터치불가를 밝혔다. 게다가 킴은 아샨겜에서 금메달로 병역면제를 받아서 이유가 없다. 중요한 것은 킴은 두번째 우승을 원할 것이다. 내 영어가 잘 통했으면 한다.

I can, however see BK asking... the feel the players get is that time off is ok with grady.... after all it's a long season... and any games we might lose to not having a closer can be made up in the next 3 months (j/k) of the season

A) Nonsense. He can't go anywhere without permission, which NO one will give him at this point in the season.
B) Out of the 8 Asian countries competing, Korea and Japan are a lock anyway, so the don't need BK, Matsui, Ichiro, Hasegawa, et al.
C) These guys signed contracts to play Major League Baseball, the highest tier in the sport. If any one of these players made a stink about not being able to go, they could kiss their career goodbye.

Do you think Seattle will let Ichiro, Sasaki, Hasegawa go? How about Matsui in New York? Absolutely ludicrous.

And anyone who thinks this decision is "up to BK" should take a look in the dictionary under the word CONTRACT. We could be at bloody war with South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, and those guys would STILL have to play ball unless the contract is rescinded.

글고 참가결정이 BK에게 달렸다고 생각하는 사람이 있다면 사전에서 '계약'이라는 단어를 들여다봐야한다.
한국,일본,베트남등의 나라가 박터지게 싸우더라도 계약이 무효화되지 않는한 차출은 안된다.
