Bible Reading - Luke 14:29~35

29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it,
만일 네가 기초를 놓고 끝내지 못한다면
everyone who sees it will ridicule you. 모든 사람들이 너를 어리석게 여길 것이다.

30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’ 말하기를 이 사람이 건축을 시작했으나 끝낼 수 없었다.

31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king.
또는 어떤 왕이 다른 왕을 대적하여 전쟁하러 막나가려는 것을 가정해 보자.

Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 그는 우선 앉아서 일만의 사람을 가지고 있는 그를 대항하여 오는 이만명의 사람을 가진 그를 대적할 수 있는지 숙고해 보지 않겠는가?

32 If he is not able, he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and will ask for terms of peace.
만일 그가 할 수 없다면 그 다른 자가 여전히 멀리 떨어져 있을 동안 그는 대표자를 보낼 것이며 그리고 평화의 조건을 물을 것이다.

33 In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.
이와같이 모든 것을 포기하지 않는 자들 너희는 내 제자들이 될 수 없다.

34 “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?
소금은 좋으나 만일 그것이 짠 맛을 잃으면 어떻게 그것을 다시 짜게 할 수 있겠는가?

35 It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out. “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”
그것은 토양에나 거름더미에서도 적당하지 않아 버려지게 된다."누구든지 귀있는 자는 들을지어다."
