[영국큐티]

이 책을 다시 읽기전 예전에 읽었던 기억을 떠올려 보았다.

I remember the books I've read before reading this book.

쥐들이 치즈를 찾아다니는 내용으로 밖에 기억에 남아 있지 않았다.

I only remember mice looking for cheese.

그래서 다시 한 번 읽어 볼 수 있는 좋은 기회 이었다.

So it was a good chance to read it again.

차마 영문 책으로는 읽을 수 없었다.

I couldn't read it in English.

이 책은 어느 날 동창들이 모두 모인 자리에서 마이클이 이야기를 시작했다.

Michael started this story in our friends meeting.

그 이야기에는 두 꼬마 인간과 두 생쥐가 나오는데 그들은 미로를 헤매다가 C창고에서 어마어마한 양의 치즈를 찾는다.

It is about two miniature human and two mice who look for cheese and find an enormous amount of it in C cupboard.

그리고 오랜 세월이 지나면서 치즈는 줄어들게 되고 그것을 알아채지 못한 두 꼬마인간은 누군가가 치즈를 가져갔을 거라고 상황을 파악하지 못하며 슬퍼하고 있을때 생쥐들은 새로운 치즈를 찾기 위해 미로 속으로 향하게 됩니다.

Also as time went by the humans didn't know that the cheese was going because they ate it and while the mice were looking for new cheese they were there crying and moaning because it was gone.

그리고 얼마 후 꼬마 인간 중 한명은 두려움을 없애고 다시 미로 속으로 향한다.

After a few days one of the human gets rid of the fear and heads for the maze.

많은 장애물들이 있었지만 그 꼬마인간은 또 다른 치즈창고를 찾게 되고.

There were many difficulties but he found another cheese cupboard.

그곳에서 옛날에 같이 지내던 두 생쥐들을 만나게 된다.

He meets the two mice who were with him.

이 책의 교훈은 누구나 알고 있듯이 변해야 살아남을 수 있다는 것이다.

The moral of this story is like everyone knows, you need to change to live.

한곳에 안주하기 보다는 다양한 변화를 통해서 자신의 새로운 모습을 발견 할 수 있고 더욱 발전 할 수 있게 된다는교훈을 주고 있다.

It tells us that by changing and showing your new side you can develope into a better person.

한 가지 말하고 싶은 사실은 이러한 책들은 누구나 읽으면서 공감 하고 '맞아'하는 생각을 여러번 하게 된다.

The thing I want to say is that anyone who read this book will think 'true' many times.

그렇게 이 책을 읽고 나면 금방이라도 변할 것처럼 생각을 가진다.

It makes us thing that we will change straight away after reading this.

하지만 실제 모습은 어떠한가?

But how is the real life like?

얼마 못가 이 책이 주는 교훈은 까맣게 잊어버리고 예전과 같은 생활을 하고 있는 나의 모습을 발견 할 것이다.

I find myself not living like the moral in a few days and going back to my old routines.

나 또한 별반 다르지 않다.

I'm not different.

물론 그렇지 않을 수 도 있다.

Of course it might not be like that.

이러한 책을 읽고 자기가 얼마나 책을 읽으면서 받은 교훈을 잘 실천 할 수 있는 내가 되느냐가 중요 하다고 생각 한다.

I think it is important to test yourself on how well you can keep to that moral after reading this book.
