What was the Mission of Jesus on this earth?

Friends, last Sunday we learned the real meaning of the Christian. That we’ve to imitate Christ & show Christ through our deeds. We learned be aware of fake Christians or denominations. Today, I want to let you know what was the Motto or Mission of Jesus Christ on this earth? Why, Jesus came on this earth? Was He was getting bored in heaven & He came on this earth for vacation or there was some special reason or mission Jesus had? Yes, God gave Jesus a special task to fulfill.

Luke 19 : 10 ~~~~ For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

When Adam & Eve disobeyed God. God expelled them out from the Garden of Eden. God punished Adam with promise also God punish Eve with promise but God curse Serpent.

Genesis 3 : 15

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your

offspring and hers; He will crush your head, and you will strike His heel.

Finally, the offspring of woman (Mother Mary) defeated the Serpent. Jesus risen from deads.

1st Corinthians 15 : 55 ~ 57

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, & the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Brothers and sisters, let us learn the Motto or Mission of Jesus. Why, He came on this earth?

1. Jesus came to reveal God the Father.

Brothers and sisters, God is so sacred no body can to see God. If we will see God surely, we’ll die. Lot’s of people tried to reach God & see but they all failed. Remember Moses want see God but!

Exodus 33 : 20 ~ But,” He said, “you can not see My face, for no one may see Me and live.”

But through Lord Jesus, we can see God. If we know Jesus, we know God cause Jesus & Father are one.

John 1 : 18

No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself

God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known.

John 14 : 9

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t

you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who

has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

2. Jesus came to remove or wash our sins.

The second of Mission of Jesus was to remove or wash our sins. Friends, science, technology or any religion can’t wash our sins. Only the blood of Jesus can wash our sins & make us pure & holy.

1st. John 1 : 7

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with

one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Accept Jesus as Savior & Son of God & believe in Jesus’s Crucifixion & resurrection. Repent & wash.

Revelation 7 : 14

I answered, “Sir, you know.” And He said, “These are they who have come out of the great

tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

3. Jesus came to reconcile us with Father.

3rd.Mission of Jesus to came on earth was to reconcile us with God. The relationship which was broken because of Adam & Eve’s disobedience. Jesus came to mend & reconcile the relationship with Father.

2nd. 5 Corinthians : 18 ~ 19

All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s

sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Colossians 1 : 20 ~ 22

And through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross. Once you were alienated from God & were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish & free from accusation.

4. Jesus came to show the real meaning of love.

Friends, 4thMission of Jesus is to teach us real meaning of LOVE. Not verbally but practically. Jesus showed us that He love us and He gave Himself at the Cross. Jesus was totally innocent but He gave Himself at the cross and Devil was defeated, when God raised Jesus from the deads.

John 3 : 16

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,

that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Friends, Jesus taught us real meaning of love by forgiving His enemies. (Luke 23 : 34 Father forgive them)

Jesus taught the meaning of love by serving His disciples. (John 13 : 1 ~ 17 Jesus washed the feet of Judas too)

John 13 : 34 ~ 35

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one

another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

5. Jesus came to make a New Covenant

Last and final Mission of Jesus was to make a New Covenant. Covenant of His blood. With His blood we’re New. Jesus washed us, cleanse us. Sinful nature has gone away. Alway apply His blood.

Luke 22 : 20

In the same way, after the supper He took the cup, saying,

This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.

1st. Corinthians 6 : 20 ~ you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Friends, we’re not our own. We belong to Jesus cause He paid for us. He flowed His blood for us.

Acts 20 : 28

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you

overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood.

Let’s revise today’s message :-

What was Jesus Mission on this? Was He getting bore in heaven and He came for vacation?

⓵ Jesus came to reveal God the Father.⓶ Jesus came to remove or wash our sins.

⓷ Jesus came to reconcile us with Father. ⓸ Jesus came to show the real meaning of love.

⓹ Jesus came to make a New Covenant.

Be careful of fake Christians & denominations. They call themselves Christians but they keep us far from Christ.

이 땅에서 예수님의 사명은 무엇이었을까요?

지난 주일에 우리는 그리스도를 본 받고 우리 행위를 통해 그리스도가 보여야 하는 진정한 크리스천의 의미를 배웠습니다. 우리는 가짜 크리스천이나 이단을 알아채야 함도 배웠습니다. 오늘, 저는 이 땅에서 예수님의 사명은 무엇이었는지 알려드리고자 합니다. 왜 예수님은 이 땅에 오셨을까요? 하늘나라에서 지루하셔서 휴가를 즐기러 오셨을까요 아니면 예수님이 가지신 특별한 이유나 사명이 있었을까요?그렇습니다. 하나님께서 특별한 일을 행하시려고 예수를 보내셨습니다.

누가복음 19 : 10 ~~ 인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려 함이니라.

아담과 하와는 하나님께 불순종했습니다. 하나님은 그들을 에덴동산에서 쫓아내셨습니다. 하나님은

약속과 함께 아담을 벌하셨고 또한 약속과 함께 하와를 벌하셨지만 하나님은 뱀은 저주하셨습니다.

창세기 3 : 15

내가 너로 여자와 원수가 되게 하고 네 후손도 여자의 후손과 원수가 되게 하리니 여자의

후손은 네 머리를 상하게 할 것이요 너는 그의 발꿈치를 상하게 할 것이니라 하시고.

결국 여자(어머니 마리아)의 후손은 뱀을 이겼습니다. 예수님은 죽음에서 일어나셨습니다.

고린도전서 15 : 55 ~ 57

사망아 너의 승리가 어디 있느냐 사망아 네가 쏘는 것이 어디 있느냐 사망이 쏘는 것은 죄요 죄의

권능은 율법이라 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리에게 승리를 주시는 하나님께 감사하노니.

형제자매 여러분, 예수님의 사명을 배워봅시다. 왜 그분은 이 땅에 오셨을까요?

1. 예수님은 하나님 아버지를 나타내려고 오셨습니다.

형제자매 여러분, 하나님은 너무 두려워서 아무도 하나님을 볼 수 없습니다. 만일 우리가 하나님을 본다면 틀림없이 우리는 죽을 것입니다. 수많은 사람들이 하나님께 다가가고 보려 했지만

모두 실패했습니다. 모세가 하나님을 보고자 했음을 기억하십시오. 하지만

출애굽기 33 : 20 ~~ 또 이르시되 네가 내 얼굴을 보지 못하리니 나를 보고 살 자가 없음이니라.

하지만 주 예수를 통해 우리는 하나님을 볼 수 있습니다.

우리가 예수를 안다면 예수님과 아버지는 하나이기에 우리는 하나님을 압니다.

요한복음 1 : 18 ~ 본래 하나님을 본 사람이 없으되 아버지 품 속에 있는 독생하신 하나님이 나타내셨느니라

요한복음 14 : 8 ~ 9

빌립이 이르되 주여 아버지를 우리에게 보여주옵소서 그리하면 족하겠나이다 예수께서 이르시되

빌립아 내가 이렇게 오래 너희와 함께 있으되 네가 나를 알지 못하느냐 나를 본

자는 아버지를 보았거늘 어찌하여 아버지를 보이라 하느냐.

2. 예수님은 우리 죄를 없애고 씻으려고 오셨습니다.

두 번째 예수의 사명은 우리 죄를 없애고 씻는 것입니다. 과학, 기술, 종교는 우리 죄를 씻을 수 없습니다. 오직 예수의 피만이 우리 죄를 씻고 깨끗하고 거룩하게 만듭니다.

요한1서 1 : 7 ~~ 그가 빛 가운데 계신 것 같이 우리도 빛 가운데 행하면 우리가 서로

사귐이 있고 그 아들 예수의 피가 우리를 모든 죄에서 깨끗하게 하실 것이요.

예수를 구세주와 하나님의 아들로 영접하고 예수의 십자가 죽음과 부활을 믿으십시오. 회개하고 씻으십시오.

요한계시록 7 : 14 ~~ 내가 말하기를 내 주여 당신이 아시나이다 하니 그가 나에게 이르되 이는

큰 환난에서 나오는 자들인데 어린 양의 피에 그 옷을 씻어 희게 하였느니라.

3. 예수님은 우리를 아버지와 화목하게 하시려고 오셨습니다.

이 땅에 오신 예수님의 세 번째 사명은 우리를 하나님과 화목하게 하는 것입니다. 아담과 하와의 불순종 때문에 깨어진 관계, 그 아버지와의 관계를 회복하고 화목하게 하시기 위해 오셨습니다.

고린도후서 5 : 18 ~ 19

모든 것이 하나님께로서 났으며 그라 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를 자기와 화목하게 하시고 또 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직분을 주셨으니 곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시며 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라.

골로새서 1 : 20 ~ 22

그의 십자가의 피로 화평을 이루사 만물 곧 땅에 있는 것들이나 하늘에 있는 것들이 그로 말미암아 자기와 화목하게 되기를 기뻐하심이라 전에 악한 행실로 멀리 떠나 마음으로 원수가 되었던 너희를 이제는 그의 육체의 죽음으로 말미암아 화목하게 하사 너희를 거룩하고 흠 없고 책망할 것이 없는 자로 그 앞에 세우고자 하셨으니.

4. 예수님은 진정한 사랑의 의미를 보여주기 위해 오셨습니다.

네 번째 예수의 사명은 진정한 사랑의 의미를 말로가 아니라 행동으로 우리에게 가르치신 것입니다. 예수님은 그분이 우리를 사랑하셔서 십자가에서 자신을 내주셨음을 보여주셨습니다. 예수님은 온전히 죄가 없으시지만 십자가에서 자신을 내주셨고 하나님께서 예수를 죽음에서 일으키셨을 때 마귀를 이기셨습니다.

요한복음 3 : 16

하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는

그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라.

예수님은 그분의 원수를 용서하심으로써 우리에게 진정한 사랑의 의미를 가르치셨습니다.

(누가복음 23 : 34 아버지 저들을 사하여주옵소서)

예수님은 제자들을 섬김으로써 사랑의 의미를 가르치셨습니다.

(요한복음 13 : 1 ~ 17 예수님은 유다의 발도 씻기셨습니다)

요한복음 13 : 34 ~ 35

새 계명을 너희에게 주노니 서로 사랑하라 내가 너희를 사랑한 것 같이 너희도 서로

사랑하라 너희가 서로 사랑하면 이로써 모든 사람이 너희가 내 제자인 줄 알리라.

5. 예수님은 새로운 언약을 세우기 위해 오셨습니다.

예수의 마지막 사명은 새로운 언약을 세우기 위함입니다. 그분의 피의 언약입니다. 그분의 피로

우리는 새것이 되었습니다. 예수께서 우리를 씻기시고 깨끗하게 하셨습니다.

죄의 본성은 사라졌습니다. 언제나 그분의 피를 적용하십시오.

누가복음 22 : 20

저녁 먹은 후에 잔도 그와 같이 하여 이르시되 이 잔은 내 피로 세우는 새 언약이니 곧 너희를 위하여 붓는 것이라.

고린도전서 6 : 20 ~~ 값으로 산 것이 되었은즉 그런즉 너희 몸으로 하나님께 영광을 돌리라.

우리는 우리자신의 것이 아닙니다. 예수님이 우리를 위해 지불하셨기

때문에 우리는 그분께 속해 있습니다. 그분은 우리를 위해 피를 흘리셨습니다.

사도행전 20 : 28

여러분은 자기를 위하여 또는 온 양떼를 위하여 삼가라 성령이 그들 가운데

여러분을 감독자로 삼고 하나님이 자기 피로 사신 교회를 보살피게 하셨느니라.

오늘의 설교를 복습합시다.

이 땅에서 예수님의 사명은 무엇일까요? 하늘나라에서 지루하셔서 휴가를 위해 오셨을까요?

⓵ 예수님은 하나님 아버지를 나타내려고 오셨습니다. ⓶ 예수님은 우리 죄를 없애고 씻기 위해 오셨습니다.

⓷ 예수님은 우리를 아버지와 화목하게 하기 위해 오셨습니다. ⓸ 예수님은 진정한 사랑의 의미를 보여주기 위해 오셨습니다. ⓹ 예수님은 새로운 언약을 세우기 위해 오셨습니다. 가짜 크리스천과 이단을 조심하십시오. 그들은 자신을 크리스천이라 부르지만 그리스도와 거리가 멉니다.
