저는 페이스북에서 한 여성이 여성을 위한 겸손에 대해 이야기하는 남성은 그저 마음이 더러운 사람일 뿐이며, 마음이 옳다면 여성이 어떻게 옷을 입었는지에 전혀 신경 쓰지 않을 것이라고 제안한 적이 있습니다. 당신이 여성이고 그런 식으로 생각한다면, 당신은 박쥐처럼 눈이 멀었고 아마도 당신의 인생 대부분은 악마가 지배하고 있을 것입니다.

I had a woman on FB suggest that men who talk about modesty for women are just filthy-hearted and wouldn't pay any attention to how a woman is dressed, if their hearts were right. If you are a woman and you think that way, then you are blind as a bat and you probably have the devil running most of your life.

사도 바울은 여성이 단정하게 옷을 입어야 한다고 말한 사람입니다(딤전 2:9). 그는 성령의 영감으로 그렇게 말했습니다. 많은 설교자들은 교회 여성들이 세상적인 패션 모델이나 노골적인 창녀가 아닌 기독교 여성처럼 보이기를 정말로 원한다면 이 문제를 다룰 필요성을 덜 느낄 것입니다. 어떤 사람들은 이 주제에 "집착"할 수도 있지만, 단정함 문제를 다루는 대부분의 사람들은 그저 성경에 순종함으로써 하나님을 공경하려고 할 뿐입니다.

The apostle Paul is the one who stated that women dress modestly (I Tim. 2:9), and he stated it by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Many preachers would see less need to address this issue, if the women in their churches really WANTED to look like Christian ladies instead of worldly fashion models or downright harlots. Some might be "obsessed" with the subject, but most who address the modesty issue are just trying to honor God by obeying the Book.

대부분 여성은 주님을 위해 독특한 여성처럼 보이고 싶어하지 않으며, 그것은 남성의 마음과 전혀 관련이 없습니다. 그렇다고 가장할 수는 있지만, 오히려 자신을 해칠 뿐입니다. 하나님은 당신에게 어떤 이유로 옷을 입어야 하는지 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님을 무시하면 스스로 위험에 처하게 됩니다.

Most women have no desire to look like distinctive ladies for the Lord, and that has NOTHING to do with the heart of men. You can pretend that it does, but you'll only be hurting yourself. God told you how to dress for a reason. Ignore Him at your own peril.
