Bible Reading - Luke 16:22~31

22. “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.
거지가 죽으니 천사들이 그를 아브라함의 품으로 데려갔다. 부자도 죽어서 장사되었다.”

23. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.
지옥에서 고통받던 그는 눈을 들어 멀리 아브라함과 그의 곁에 있는 나사로를 보았다.

24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’
그래서 그는 아브라함에게 소리쳤다. “아버지 아브라함이시여, 저를 불쌍히 여겨 나사로를 보내어 그의 손가락 끝에 물을 적셔 제 혀를 시원하게 해 주십시오. 제가 이 불 속에서 너무나 고통스럽습니다.”

25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.
“그러나 아브라함이 대답했다. ‘아들아, 네가 살아생전에 좋은 것을 누렸고 나사로는 나쁜 것을 겪었음을 기억하라. 이제 그는 여기서 위로를 받고 너는 고통을 당하고 있다.’”

26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm(심연) has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’
게다가 우리와 너희들 사이에는 거대한 심연이 놓여 있어서, 여기에서 너희들에게 가려는 사람은 갈 수 없고, 거기에서 우리에게 건너오려는 사람도 건널 수 없다.

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family,
그가 대답했다 ' 그러면 아버지여, 간청하오니 나사로를 내 가족에게 보내소서.'

28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’
나에게 다섯 형제가 있는데 그(나사로)가 그들에게 경고하게 하소서. 그러면 그들이 이 고통의 장소로 오지 않을 것입니다.

29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’
아브라함이 대답했다. '그들에게 모세와 선지자들이 있다. 그들은 그들(모세와 선지자)에게 듣게 하라.'

30 “ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
"아닙니다. 아버지 아브라함이여, 그가 말했다. '그러나 만일 어떤 사람이 죽은 자들로부터 그들에게 간다면, 그들이 회개할 것입니다.'

31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”
"그가 그들에게 말했다. '만일 그들이 모세와 선지자들에게 듣지 않는다면 그들은 어떤 사람이 죽은 자들로부터 다시 살아난다고 해도 확신하지 않을 것이다.' "
