2026년 어린이날을 맞아 모든 어린이와 가족들에게 축복과 사랑을 전합니다.

1. 어린이날의 제정 유래와 취지

1923년 소파 방정환과 색동회가

어린이를 독립된 인격체로 존중하자는 취지로 처음 선포했습니다.

광복 이후 5월 5일로 확정되었고,

1975년 법정 공휴일로 지정되어 오늘날까지 이어지고 있습니다.

어린이날은 단순한 기념일이 아니라,

“어린이는 존중받아야 할 인격체”라는 사회적 선언입니다.

1. Origins and Purpose of Children’s Day

Children’s Day was first proclaimed in 1923 by Bang Jeong-hwan

and the Saekdonghoe youth group,

with the vision of respecting children as independent human beings.

After Korea’s liberation, the date was set to May 5,

and in 1975 it became a national holiday.

Children’s Day is not just a celebration—

it is a social declaration that “children are dignified individuals who deserve respect.”
