The 34th Method :
Listening to Heaven(Cheongcheon)... Hearing the Divine Mandate... matter 40.
"Listening to Heaven"
(Cheongcheon) means listening attentively to God′s commands,
yet devoting one′s sincerity without demanding or expecting an immediate divine response.
Reasoning that "My sicerity must not have reached the level of true resonance yet,
so how could there be a response?"
One becomes even more diligent and increasingly serene,
carrying forth their devotion until the very boundaries of where their sincerity
reaches become imperceptible.
[Original Text]
Those who listen to Heaven hearken to the Divine Mandate,
yet they do not use their sincerity as a baygaining tool to wait for mutual ressponse.
Believing, "If my sincerity has not yet reached the point of moving Heaven,
what response could there possibly be?"
they become more enduring and unassuming over time.
Becoming ever more diligent and progoundly tranquil,
they ultimately reach a state where they are no longer consciously aware
of the very limits of their own devotion.
