The Prayer of our Lord Jesus.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Lord Jesus by Himself prayed about 25 times in the Holy Bible.

Jesus prayed frequently, often withdrawing to solitary places for hours or all night. Key instances

include His baptism, selecting disciples, feeding the 5,000, in Gethsemane, and on the cross.

Jesus prayed different times and Jesus commanded His followers to pray unceasingly.

Luke 18 : 1

Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray & not give up.

Dear brothers and sisters Jesus commanded to all of His followers that we have to pray continually. God answer or not. God become silent or refuse our prayers. We do not have to stop our prayers.

Dear friends, let us learn special lesson from Jesus’ prayer in the garden of Gethsemane.

1. Jesus and His disciples praise the Lord.

Brothers & sisters, we are well known that Jesus prayed a lot, Jesus made numberless miracles. Jesus ministry based on three pillars. Teaching preaching and healing. (Matthew 4 : 23) Am I right? But many of us do not know that Jesus praise the Lord or He sang Hymns and gospel songs.

Matthew 26 : 30 ~ When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Many people claim that if they will attend the sermon, they attend the Service. That is totally wrong. Here Jesus & His disciples taught we’ve to participate in singing Hymns & gospel songs too. I don’t know which Hymn they sung. Theologians claim might be they sung hymn Psalms 28.

Psalms 28 : 6 ~ 7 (Please read the whole chapter)

Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield;

my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

Jesus was in a great agony. He knew that, He’s going to be betrayed, denied, doubted by His own people. His disciples will ran away. And He by Himself is going to suffer on the cross alone.

2. Jesus' prayer was a habit.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, Jesus never prayed once in a week or when there is trouble in His way, He prayed but, whenever Jesus had free time, He prayed to His Father and strengthen Himself.

Luke 22 : 39 ~ 40

Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples followed Him.

On reaching the place, He said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”

Dear friends, let’s make it habit to pray. There are many people who just scroll the phone & check

mails and see the Youtube in free time. Friends, today in the scripture Jesus prayed as usual. Do we pray as usual. If not let’s make it habit to pray and meditation. Read the Word of God,

talk to Him and listen His voice. Lord is ready to answer your calls and question.

Jeremiah 33 : 3

‘Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

Philippians 4 : 6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,

by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.

3. Jesus' prayer was not a spoken prayer, but a prayer of listening.

Friends, majority of people do informing pray. We just inform God what we need. We just gave Him our Inquiries or demands. God give me this, and that and we finish our prayers in Jesus name. Friends, always remember pray is not ordering. For example when we go to hotel and order something. If our order is delay we start to complain & shout at waiter. Pray is request & listening.

Matthew 26 : 34

“My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from Me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.”

Jesus didn’t said, God take this cup. Jesus said not My will but Your will must be done. God did not answer Jesus’s prayer. God did not sent angels to kill or defeat Romans soldiers but God sent soldiers to hang Jesus on the cross to save all the humanity. To save you and me & make us New.

2nd. Corinthians 5 : 17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

4. Jesus taught pray is way to overcome temptations.

Dear brothers and sisters, in Holy Bible Lord Jesus by Himself prayed about 25 times. In the garden of Gethsemane Jesus prayed three times and requested His disciples to pray with Him

Matthew 26 : 41

“Watch & pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Jesus instructed to of His 11 disciples. Judas Iscariot went away during the Last Supper to betray Jesus.

Matthew 26 : 38 (keep watch with Me = Pray with Me)

Then He said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow

to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me.”

Jesus took three of His favorite disciples little far & instructed them to pray but they fell asleep.

Matthew 26 : 37 (Peter, James & John)

He took Peter & the two sons of Zebedee along with Him, & He began to be sorrowful & troubled.

Matthew 6 : 13 ~~ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

5. Jesus taught, God answer or not do not quit pray.

Dear friends, fifth thing what we can learn through Jesus’s Gethsemane Pray. God answer or God do not answer. God become silent in response of our prayers. We don’t have to quit our prayers.

Jesus prayed 3 time & He requested 3 times to God. Jesus didn’t stop or quit His pray.

Matthew 26 : 44

So He left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

1st Thessalonians 5 : 16 ~ 17

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Friends, when God become silent & don’t answer our prayers. It means, He has a special for us.

Jeremiah 29 : 11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to

prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Always give thanks to God for not answering prayers cause He has special plans for us.

Conclusion :-

Friends, Jesus the Son of God by Himself He is God. He taught us to pray. Jesus prayed about 25 times in the Bible. Jesus taught to pray unceasingly. Jesus taught to fulfill Father’s will not our’s.

Isaiah 30 : 18

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you

compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

† 우리 주 예수님의 기도 †

주 안에 있는 형제자매 여러분, 성경에서 주 예수님은 25번 정도 기도하셨습니다. 예수님은 자주 기도하셨고 종종 한적한 장소로 물러나 몇 시간 혹은 밤새도록 기도하셨습니다. 중요한 예로 그분의 세례를 포함하여 제자를 택하실 때, 5000명을 먹이실 때, 겟세마네 동산에서 그리고 십자가에서입니다.

예수님은 여러 번 기도하셨고 제자들에게 끊임없이 기도하라고 명령하셨습니다.

누가복음 18 : 1 ~~~ 예수께서 그들에게 항상 기도하고 낙심하지 말아야 할 것을 비유로 말씀하여.

형제자매 여러분, 예수님은 모든 제자들에게 계속해서 기도해야 한다고 명령하셨습니다. 하나님은 응답하시거나 응답하지 않으십니다. 우리의 기도에 침묵하시거나 거절하십니다. 우리는 기도를 멈추지 말아야 합니다. 겟세마네 동산에서 하신 예수님의 기도에서 특별한 교훈을 배워봅시다.

1. 예수님과 제자들은 주님을 찬양했습니다.

형제자매 여러분, 예수께서 많이 기도하셨고 수많은 기적을 행하셨음을 우리는 잘 압니다. 예수님의 사역은 세 기둥에 기초합니다. 가르치시고 전하시고 치유하신 것입니다. 그렇죠? (마태복음 4 : 23)

하지만 많은 사람들은 예수님이 주님을 찬양하셨고 찬송과 복음성가를 부르셨다는 것을 모릅니다.

마태복음 26 : 30 ~~~~ 이에 그들이 찬미하고 감람 산으로 나아가니라

많은 사람들이 설교를 들으면 예배에 참석했다고 말합니다. 완전히 잘못된 것입니다. 예수님과 제자들은 찬송가와 복음성가에도 참여해야 한다고 가르쳤습니다. 그들이 어떤 찬송가를 불렀는지 저는 모릅니다. 신학자들은 아마도 시편 28편을 노래했을 것이라고 말합니다.

시편 28 : 6 ~ (전체를 읽으십시오)

여호와를 찬송함이여 내 간구하는 소리를 들으심이로다 여호와는 나의 힘과 나의 방패이시니 내 마음이 그를 의지하여 도움을 얻었도다 그러므로 내 마음이 크게 기뻐하며 내 노래로 그를 찬송하리로다.

예수님은 극심한 고통 중에 있었습니다. 사람들이 배반하고 부인하고 의심할 것과 제자들은 달아날 것이고 그분 혼자 십자가에서 고통을 겪으실 것을 예수님은 아셨습니다.

2. 예수님의 기도는 습관이었습니다.

주 안에 있는 형제자매 여러분, 예수님은 일주일에 한번이나 문제가 있을 때만 기도하지

않으셨습니다. 시간이 있을 때마다 기도하셨고 아버지께 기도하며 자신을 강하게 하셨습니다.

누가복음 22 : 39 ~ 40

예수께서 나가사 습관을 따라 감람산에 가시매 제자들도 따라갔더니

그 곳에 이르러 그들에게 이르시되 유혹에 빠지지 않게 기도하라 하시고.

기도하는 것을 습관으로 만듭시다. 많은 사람들은 시간이 있을 때 폰을 검색하거나 메일을 확인하고 유튜브를 봅니다. 오늘 본문 말씀에서 예수님은 평소대로 기도하셨습니다. 우리는 평소대로 기도합니까? 만일 아니라면 기도와 묵상을 습관으로 만듭시다. 하나님 말씀을 읽고 그분께 말하고 그분의 음성을 들 으십시오. 주님은 우리의 부르짖음과 질문에 응답할 준비가 되어 있습니다.

예레미야 33 : 3

너는 내게 부르짖으라 내가 네게 응답하겠고 네가 알지 못하는 크고 은밀한 일을 네게 보이리라.

빌립보서 4 : 6

아무 것도 염려하지 말고 다만 모든 일에 기도와 간구로, 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라.

3. 예수님의 기도는 말하는 기도가 아니라 듣는 기도였습니다.

대부분의 사람들이 알리는 기도를 합니다. 우리가 필요한 것을 단지 하나님께 알립니다. 우리는 그분께 질문과 요구만 합니다. 하나님, 이것과 저것 주세요하고 예수의 이름으로 기도를 마칩니다. 기도는 주문이 아님을 항상 기억하십시오. 예를 들어 우리가 호텔에 가서 무언가를 주문할 때 우리의 주문이 지연되면 우리는 불평하며 웨이터에게 소리칩니다. 기도는 요청하고 듣는 것입니다.

마태복음 26 : 39

내 아버지여 만일 할 만하시거든 이 잔을 내게서 지나가게 하옵소서

그러나 나의 원대로 마시옵고 아버지의 원대로 하옵소서 하시고.

예수님은 하나님께 이 잔을 가져가시라고 말하지 않았습니다. 예수님은 나의 뜻이 아니라 당신의 뜻이 이루어지라고 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님은 예수님의 기도에 응답하지 않으셨습니다. 하나님은 로마 병사를 죽이거나 무찌르라고 천사를 보내지 않으셨고 모든 인류를 구원하기 위해, 여러분과 저를 구원하시고 우리를 새롭게 하기 위해 십자가에 예수님을 매달도록 병사를 보내셨습니다.

고린도후서 5 : 17

그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다

4. 기도는 유혹을 이기는 방법이라고 예수님은 가르치셨습니다.

형제자매 여러분, 성경에서 주 예수님은 25번 정도 기도하셨습니다. 겟세마네 동산에서

예수님은 세 번 기도하셨고 제자들에게 그분과 함께 기도하라고 요청하셨습니다.

마태복음 26 : 41

시험에 들지 않게 깨어 기도하라 마음에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다 하시고.

예수님은 11제자들에게 가르치셨습니다. 가룟 유다는 마지막 만찬 중에 예수를 배반하여 떠나갔습니다.

마태복음 26 : 38 (나와 함께 깨어있으라=나와 함께 기도하라)

이에 말씀하시되 내 마음이 매우 고민하여 죽게 되었으니 너희는 여기 머물러 나와 함께 깨어 있으라 하시고

예수님은 사랑하시는 세 제자를 조금 멀리 데려가셔서 그들에게 자지 말고 기도하라고 지시하셨습니다.

마태복음 26 : 37 (베드로, 야고보와 요한)

베드로와 세베대의 두 아들을 데리고 가실새 고민하고 슬퍼하사.

마태복음 6 : 13

우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마시옵고 다만 악에서 구하시옵소서.

5. 하나님께서 응답하시거나 하시지 않거나 기도를 멈추지 말라고 가르치셨습니다.

예수님의 겟세마네 기도를 통해 배울 수 있는 다섯 번째입니다. 하나님께서 응답하시거나 응답하지 않으십니다. 하나님은 우리 기도의 반응에 침묵하십니다. 우리는 기도를 멈추지 말아야 합니다. 예수님은 세 번 기도하셨고 하나님께 세 번 요청하셨습니다. 예수님은 기도를 멈추거나 중단하지 않으셨습니다.

마태복음 26 : 44 ~~~ 또 그들을 두시고 나아가 세 번째 같은 말씀으로 기도하신 후

데살로니가전서 5 : 16 ~ 17

항상 기뻐하라 쉬지 말고 기도하라 범사에 감사하라 이것이

그리스도 예수 안에서 너희를 향하신 하나님의 뜻이니라.

하나님이 침묵하시거나 우리 기도에 응답하지 않으실 때 이것은 우리를 위한 특별한 것이 있다는 의미입니다.

예레미야 29 : 11

여호와의 말씀이니라 너희를 향한 나의 생각을 내가 아나니

평안이요 재앙이 아니니라 너희에게 미래와 희망을 주는 것이니라.

기도에 응답이 없어도 하나님께 우리를 위한 특별한 것이 있기에 항상 감사하십시오.

결론 :-

예수님은 하나님의 아들이시고 그분이 하나님이십니다. 그분은 우리에게 기도하라고 가르치셨습니다. 성경에서 예수님은 25번 정도 기도하셨습니다. 예수님은 끊임없이 기도하라고 가르치셨습니다. 예수님은 우리의 뜻이 아니라 아버지의 뜻을 행하라고 가르치셨습니다.

이사야 30 : 18

그러나 여호와께서 기다리시나니 이는 너희에게 은혜를 베풀려 하심이요 일어나시리니 이는 너희를

긍휼히 여기려 하심이라 대저 여호와는 정의의 하나님이심이라 그를 기다리는 자마다 복이 있도다.
