Let us hang Barabba not Jesus.

Brothers and sisters next week, We’ll celebrate Easter Sunday. 2000 years ago early Sunday morning Jesus was risen from the deads as He prophecy. Jesus kept His promise & He gave us eternal life.

1st. John 5 : 11 ~ 12

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Friends 2000 years ago, Pontius Pilate ask the people who were gathered there. Pontius ask, shall I hang Jesus or Barabba? Teachers of the law, chief priests, the elders gave bribe and threat the people. All people shout Crucify Jesus and release Barabba. Barabba was dangerous thief and killer.

Matthew 27 : 21 ~ 22

“Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor. “Barabbas,” they answered. “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “Crucify Him!”

Dear friends, just imagine Pontius Pilate is standing here & he shout, do I hang Jesus or Barabba?

What will be our answer? Do we save Jesus or save Barabba? Friends, honestly some of us still save Barabba and hang Jesus on the cross. I am sure not in our church but some other church.

How we hang Jesus? We hang Jesus, when we don’t obey His commands. Let’s see in detail.

1. We hang Jesus, when we do not make disciples.

Matthew 28 : 19

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in

the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

While Jesus ministering on the earth. He gave last command “Go and make disciples”. This command was not for 12 disciples, prophets, pastors or preachers. This command is for you & me.

If just one, Christian evangelize one person, there will be no Non Believer. Let us be real the believer of Jesus and obey His commands. Let’s throw away all bashfulness & make disciples. Amen

♣ Let’s hang Barabba not Jesus by obeying Jesus command. ♣

Luke 6 : 46 ~~~~ “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

2. We hang Jesus, when we do not forgive others.

Luke 23 : 34 ~~~ Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Dear brothers and sisters, Barabba never forgive others but Jesus always taught to forgive others.

⇨ Jesus taught that forgiveness is an unconditional, limitless, & central requirement of his followers, rooted in God’s forgiveness of human sins. He instructed believers to forgive others endlessly. When Jesus disciple Simeon Peter ask how many times should we forgive? 7 times?“ Cause 7 was perfect digit.

Matthew 18 : 21 ~ 22

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother

or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered,

“I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Jesus Himself forgave those who hanged Jesus. If we do not forgive, we are going to hang Jesus.

Mark 11 : 25

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone,

forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

♣ Let’s hang Barabba not Jesus by obeying Jesus command. ♣

3. We hang Jesus, when we do not serve others.

Mark 10 : 45 ~~ For even the Son of Man did not come to be served,

but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

3rd. thing what we’ve to do to hang Barabba is serve others. In our practical lives we serve only those who serve us or we serve to have some favor. Otherwise, we don’t. Let’s serve without any condition. Always remember; we’re the followers of Jesus. He taught us to serve others without any condition.

Jesus the Savior and Son of God wash the feet of His disciples. Even He washed the feet of Judas.

John 13 : 4 ~ 5 -- so He got up from the meal, took off His outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around His waist. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash His

disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around Him.

Jesus by Himself showed us an example. Let’s serve others and be the real Christian.

John 13 : 14

Now that I, your Lord & Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.

♣ Let’s hang Barabba not Jesus by obeying Jesus command. ♣

4. We hang Jesus, when we do not read & meditate Word of God.

Dear brothers and sister 4thway or secret to hang Barabba is to read the Holy Bible, not only read the Holy Bible. We have to meditate it or in other words we’ve to live according to it. Amen

Joshua 1 : 8 ~ Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day & night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous & successful.

Revelation 1 : 3

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, & blessed are

those who hear it & take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

James 1 : 22 ~ Do not merely listen to the word, & so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Friends, Jesus by Himself used the Word of God and defeated the Devil.

Matthew 4 : 4 & 5 & 10 - “It is written: -- “It is also written: -- Jesus said to him, “Away from Me,

Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’

♣ Let’s hang Barabba not Jesus by obeying Jesus command. ♣

5. We hang Jesus, when we skip Sunday Service.

Make difference between Important & urgent. Important but not urgent. Urgent but not important.

Luke 14 : 18 ~ 20

“But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’ - “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’ - “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.

Everyone gave excuses. Friends, gather in the house of Lord, listen & understand the Word of God.

Acts 2 : 46 ~~ Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke

bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,

Conclusion:-

Friends, let us go 2000 years back. Pontius is asking whom shall he hang Jesus or Barabba?

Brothers and sisters, today it’s time to save Jesus and hang Barabba by obeying Jesus command.

John 14 : 15 ~~~ If you love Me, keep My commands.

예수가 아니라 바라바를 매달읍시다

형제자매 여러분, 우리는 다음 주에 부활주일을 축하할 것입니다. 2000년 전 주일 새벽에 예수께서

그분의 예언대로 죽음에서 일어나셨습니다. 예수님은 약속을 지키셨고 우리에게 영생을 주셨습니다.

요한1서 5 : 11 ~ 12

또 증거는 이것이니 하나님이 우리에게 영생을 주신 것과 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있는

그것이니라 아들이 있는 자에게는 생명이 있고 하나님의 아들이 없는 자에게는 생명이 없느니라

2000년 전, 본디오 빌라도는 모여 있는 사람들에게 물었습니다. “예수를 매달으랴 바라바를 매달으랴?”

서기관들, 대제사장들, 장로들은 사람들을 매수하고 협박했습니다. 모든 사람들은 예수를 십자가에

못 박고 바라바를 풀어주라고 소리쳤습니다. 바라바는 위험한 강도였고 살인자였습니다.

마태복음 27 : 21 ~ 22

총독이 대답하여 이르되 둘 중의 누구를 너희에게 놓아주기를 원하느냐 이르되 바라바로소이다 빌라도가 이르되 그러면 그리스도라 하는 예수를 내가 어떻게 하랴 그들이 다 이르되 십자가에 못 박혀야 하겠나이다.

본디오 빌라도가 여기 서서 예수를 매달으랴 바라바를 매달으랴 하고 소리친다고 상상해 보십시오.

우리 대답은 무엇일까요? 우리는 예수를 살리라고 할까요 바라바를 살리라고 할까요? 솔직히 우리 중 어떤 사람은 지금도 바라바를 살리고 예수를 십자가에 매달으라고 할 것입니다. 우리 교회가 아니라 다른 교회에서 그럴 것이라고 확신합니다. 우리는 어떻게 예수님을 매달을까요? 우리가 그분의 명령에 순종하지 않을 때 우리는 예수님을 매달은 것입니다. 자세하게 알아봅시다.

1. 제자 삼지 않을 때 우리는 예수를 매달은 것입니다.

마태복음 28 : 19

그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고.

예수님이 지상에서 사역하시는 동안 ‘가서 제자 삼으라’고 마지막 명령을 하셨습니다. 이 명령은 12제자, 선지자, 목사, 전도사에게만 하신 것이 아닙니다. 이 명령은 여러분과 저를 향해 하신 것입니다. 한 명의 크리스천이 한 사람을 전도한다면 불신자가 없을 것입니다. 예수를 진실로 믿는 자가 되고 그분의 명령에 순종합시다. 부끄러움을 모두 던져버리고 제자 삼읍시다. 아멘.

예수님의 명령에 순종함으로써 예수님이 아니라 바라바를 매달읍시다.

누가복음 6 : 46 ~ 너희는 나를 불러 주여 주여 하면서도 어찌하여 내가 말하는 것을 행하지 아니하느냐.

2. 다른 사람을 용서하지 않을 때 우리는 예수를 매달은 것입니다.

누가복음 23 : 34

이에 예수께서 이르시되 아버지 저들을 사하여 주옵소서 자기들이 하는 것을 알지 못함이니이다 하시더라

형제자매 여러분, 바라바는 결코 다른 사람을 용서한 적이 없지만 예수님은 다른 사람을 용서하라고 항상 가르치셨습니다. 용서는 조건없이, 제한없이 하고 따르는 자들의 중요한 요구, 인간의 죄에 대한 하나님의 용서에 기초한 것이라고 예수님은 가르치셨습니다. 그분은 다른 사람을 한없이 용서하라고 가르치셨습니다. 제자 시몬 베드로가 몇 번 용서해야 하느냐고 물었습니다. 일곱 번 할까요? 7은 완전수이기 때문입니다.

마태복음 18 : 21 ~ 22

그 때에 베드로가 나아와 이르되 주여 형제가 내게 죄를 범하면 몇 번이나 용서하여 주리이까 일곱 번까지 하오리이까 예수께서 이르시되 네게 이르노니 일곱 번 뿐 아니라 일곱 번을 일흔번까지라도 할지니라.

예수님은 자신을 매달은 사람들을 용서하셨습니다. 우리가 용서하지 않는다면 우리는 예수를 매달은 것입니다.

마가복음 11 : 25

서서 기도할 때에 아무에게나 혐의가 있거든 용서하라 그리하여야

하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서도 너희 허물을 사하여 주시리라 하시니라.

예수님의 명령에 순종함으로써 예수님이 아니라 바라바를 매달읍시다.

3. 다른 사람을 섬기지 않을 때 우리는 예수님을 매달은 것입니다

마가복음 10 : 45

인자가 온 것은 받으려 함이 아니라 도리어 섬기려 하고 자기 목숨을 많은 사람의 대속물로 주려 함이니라.

우리가 바라바를 매달기 위해 해야 하는 세 번째는 다른 사람을 섬기는 것입니다. 실생활에서 우리는 우리를 섬긴 사람이나 좋아하는 사람만 섬깁니다. 그렇지 않으면 섬기지 않습니다. 조건 없이 섬깁시다. 우리는 예수님을 따르는 자임을 항상 기억하십시오. 그분은 조건 없이 다른 사람을 섬기라고 가르치셨습니다. 구세주이며 하나님의 아들이신 예수님은 제자들의 발을 씻기셨습니다. 심지어 유다의 발도 씻기셨습니다.

요한복음 13 : 4 ~ 5

저녁 잡수시던 자리에게 일어나 겉옷을 벗고 수건을 가져다가 허리에 두르시고 이에

대야에 물을 떠서 제자들의 발을 씻으시고 그 두르신 수건으로 닦기를 시작하여.

예수님은 몸소 본보기를 보여주셨습니다. 다른 사람을 섬기고 진정한 크리스천이 됩시다.

요한복음 13 : 14

내가 주와 선생이 되어 너희 발을 씻었으니 너희도 서로 발을 씻어주는 것이 옳으니라.

예수님의 명령에 순종함으로써 예수님이 아니라 바라바를 매달읍시다.

4. 하나님 말씀을 읽고 묵상하지 않을 때 우리는 예수를 매달은 것입니다.

형제자매 여러분, 바라바를 매다는 네 번째 방법 즉 비밀은 성경을 읽는 것입니다.

성경을 읽을 뿐 아니라 묵상해야 하고 다시 말해 그에 따라 살아야 합니다. 아멘.

여호수아 1 : 8 ~ 이 율법책을 네 입에서 떠나지 말게 하며 주야로 그것을 묵상하여 그 안에 기록된

대로 다 지켜 행하라 그리하면 네 길이 평탄하게 될 것이며 네가 형통하리라.

요한계시록 1 : 3

이 예언의 말씀을 읽는 자와 듣는 자와 그 가운데에 기록한 것을 지키는 자는 복이 있나니 때가 가까움이라.

야고보서 1 : 22 ~~ 너희는 말씀을 행하는 자가 되고 듣기만 하여 속이는 자가 되지 말라.

예수님은 하나님 말씀을 사용하여 마귀를 이기셨습니다.

마태복음 4 : 4, 7, 10

예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 기록되었으되 --- 예수께서 이르시되 또 기록되었으되 --- 이에 예수께서 말씀하시되 사탄아 물러가라 기록되었으되 주 너의 하나님께 경배하고 다만 그를 섬기라 하였느니라

예수님의 명령을 순종함으로써 예수가 아니라 바라바를 매달읍시다.

5. 주일 예배를 건너뛸 때 우리는 예수를 매달은 것입니다.

중요하고 긴급한 것, 중요하지만 긴급하지 않은 것, 긴급하지만 중요하지 않은 것의 차이를 만드십시오.

누가복음 14 : 18 ~ 20

다 일치하게 사양하여 한 사람은 이르되 나는 밭을 샀으매 아무래도 나가 보아야 하겠으니 청컨대 나를 양해하도록 하라 하고 또 한사람은 이르되 나는 소 다섯 겨리를 샀으매 시험하러 가니 청컨대 나를 양해하도록 하라 하고 또 한사람은 이르되 나는 장가들었으니 그러므로 가지 못하겠노라 하는지라.

모든 사람이 사양했습니다. 하나님의 전에 모여 하나님 말씀을 듣고 이해하십시오.

사도행전 2 : 46

날마다 마음을 같이 하여 성전에 모이기를 힘쓰고 집에서 떡을 떼며 기쁨과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 먹고

결론 :-

2000년 전으로 돌아가 봅시다. 본디오 빌라도가 예수인지 바라바인지 누구를 매달을 것인지를 묻고 있습니다. 형제자매 여러분, 오늘 예수님 명령에 순종함으로써 예수님을 살리고 바라바를 매달을 시간입니다.

요한복음 14 : 15 ~~~ 너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명을 지키리라.

예수님의 명령에 순종함으로써 예수님이 아니라 바라바를 배달읍시다.
