Bible Reading - Luke 18:11~21

18:11 The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself:

바리새인은 일어나서 자신에 대해 기도했다.

'God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. 하나님, 내가 다른 사람들, 즉 강도들, 악당들, 간음하는 자들 혹은 이 세리들과 같지 않은 것을 당신께 감사드립니다.

18:12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'

나는 일주일에 두번 금식하며 내가 얻은 모든 것의 십일조를 드립니다. 

18:13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. 그러나 세리는 멀리서 서 있었다.

He would not even look up to heaven, 그는 심지어 하늘을 올려다 보지 못했을 것이며 

but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'

그러나 가슴을 치며 말하기를 '하나님, 죄인인 나를 불쌍히 여겨 주세요."

18:14 "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. 

내가 말하는데, 차라리 다른 사람들보다 이 사람이 하나님 앞에서 의롭다함을 받고서 집으로 갔다.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, 자신을 높이는 모든 사람은 낮아질 것이며 

and he who humbles himself will be exalted."자신을 낮추는 자는 높여질 것이다. 

18:15 People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. 

사람들이 또한 예수께 아이들을 만져 주시도록 데리고 오고있는 중이었다.

When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them.

제자들이 이것을 보았을 때, 그들은 그 사람들을 꾸짖었다.

18:16 But Jesus called the children to him and said,

그러나 예수께서 그 아이들을 그에게 부르시고 말씀하셨다.

"Let the little children come to me, 어린 아이들을 내게로 오게하고 

and do not hinder them, 그들을 막지 말라.

for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

하나님의 나라가 이 아이들과 같은 자들에게 속하여 있다.

18:17 I tell you the truth, 내가 진실을 말한다.

anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

어린 아이와 같이 하나님의 나라를 받아들이지 않는 자는 그것에 들어가지 못할 것이다. 

18:18 A certain ruler asked him, 어떤 관원(통치자)가 그에게 물었다.

"Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

선한 선생님이여, 영생을 상속받으려면 내가 무엇을 해야만 합니까?

18:19 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered.

예수께서 대답하셨다. "왜 너는 나를 선하다고 부르는가?"

"No one is good--except God alone. 홀로 하나님 외에는 아무도 선한 자가 없다

18:20 You know the commandments: 너는 그 계명들을 안다.

'Do not commit adultery, 간음하지 말라.

do not murder,살인하지 말라.

 do not steal, 훔치지 말라.

do not give false testimony, 거짓 증거하지 말라.

honor your father and mother.'" 너의 아버지와 어머니를 공경하라.

18:21 "All these I have kept since I was a boy," he said.

"이 모든 것들을 내가 소년이었을 때부터 지켰습니다."라고 그가 말했다.
