Someone is praying for you. Are you praying for someone?

Brothers & sisters, more than 25 times I preached about prayer. Today again Spirit of the Lord forced me to preach about Prayer. Maybe fish can live without water but Christians can never live without pray. Pray is breath for the believers. Friends, “PRAY” make it habit. PRAY is directly dialogue with God.

Today, in the scripture Apostle Paul advising to all Christians to pray for others.

Ephesians 6 : 18

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.

With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Second request or command of Apostle Paul is to pray for Him. Let’s ask a question to ourselves. Do we pray for our pastors? Do we pray for our religious leaders? Do we pray for leaders of our countries?

Ephesians 6 : 19 ~ 20

Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Paul never request to let him out of prison, he never request to give him money or food. Paul just requested for the pray. Cause He knew that there is power in pray. God will release him from the prison.

Friends, pray for your beloved one’s, pray for your spiritual leaders, teachers, nation and nation leaders.

1st. Timothy 2 : 2

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Friends, today I want to share few familiar and some non-familiar people who prayed for others.

1. Jochebed prayed for Moses.

Friends, Pharaoh made a decree to kill all the boys. Mother Jochebed tried to save her son Moses but when, she failed. She put baby Moses in basket and drove him in river Nile. She prayed & prayed for Moses & God saved Moses through his enemy “Pharaoh’s daughter”. Pray brought miracle.

Exodus 6 : 20

Amram married his father’s sister Jochebed, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived 137 years.

Exodus 2 : 3

But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile.

Exodus 2 : 10

When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he

became her son. She named him Moses, saying, “I drew him out of the water.”

2. Hannah prayed for Samuel.

Friends, Hannah was barren lady. She prayed a lot & finally God answered her prayers through Eli.

Hannah gave birth to a son Samuel. She continually prayed for her son & Samuel was so blessed.

1st. Samuel 1 : 13 and 27

Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving

but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there.

3. Ekklesia prayed for Apostle Peter.

Dear brothers & sisters, Apostle Peter preached Jesus and because of preaching Peter was arrested.

Here wonderful thing, what we can notice all the members of church got together and prayed for Peter. When all the members kneel down in prayer, miracle happen. Peter was released miraculously.

Acts 12 : 5 & 7 & 11

5. So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.

7. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on

the side & woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.

11. Then Peter came to himself & said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent His angel & rescued me from Herod’s clutches & from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.”

4. Moses, Aaron and Hur prayed for Joshua.

Moses, Aaron and Hur. When three of them prayed. Joshua won the battle but when Moses lowered down or stopped prayer. Joshua loss the battle. Because of prayers of Moses Joshua won

Exodus 17 : 10 ~ 11 -- So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went tothe top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.

Brothers and sisters, let us raise our hands in pray. Surely God will give you victory.

Exodus 14 : 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

5. Issac prayed for his wife Rebekah.

Friends, Rebekah was a barren lady. Her husband Issac prayed for her & God blessed her with Jacob.

Genesis 25 : 21 ~~ Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless.

The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.

Spouses pray for your partners, pray for you family members, pray for your friends, surely God will answer.

Jeremiah 33 : 3

Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

6. Hagar the mother of Ishmael.

Ishmael the son of Hagar. Abraham sent her a way. There was no water, no food. Ishmael cried for food and water. Hagar don’t want to see her baby dying. She knelt down and prayed in result. God not only provide food & water. God blessed Ishmael with long, happy, healthy & with great nation. Genesis 21 : 16 & 18

16. Then she went off and sat down about a bow-shot away, for she thought,

“I can not watch the boy die.” And as she sat there, she began to sob.

18. Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”

Conclusion :-

Isaiah 49 : 15 ~~ Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on

the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

Romans 8 : 34 ~~ Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died more than

that, who was raised to life is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Maybe mother can forget her child. Maybe spouses forget each other. Maybe pastor can forget his congregation. But, always remember God can never forget you, & Jesus is praying for His followers.

Luke 18 : 1

Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

     누군가 여러분을 위해 기도합니다. 여러분은 누군가를 위해 기도합니까?

형제자매 여러분, 저는 기도에 대해 25번 이상 설교했습니다. 오늘 다시 주님의 영이 저에게 기도에 관해 설교하라고 시키셨습니다. 혹시 물고기는 물 없이 살 수 있어도 크리스천은 기도 없이 살 수 없습니다.

기도는 신자에게 호흡입니다. 기도를 습관으로 만드십시오. 기도는 하나님과의 직접적인 대화입니다.

오늘, 본문 말씀에서 사도 바울은 다른 사람을 위해 기도하라고 모든 크리스천에게 조언하고 있습니다.

에베소서 6 : 18

                         모든 기도와 간구를 하되 항상 성령 안에서 기도하고 이를

                                                         위하여 깨어 구하기를 항상 힘쓰며 여러 성도를 위하여 구하라.

사도 바울의 두 번째 요청이자 명령은 그를 위해 기도하라는 것입니다. 우리자신에게 질문해 봅시다. 우리는 목사를 위해 기도합니까? 종교 지도자들을 위해 기도합니까? 우리나라의 지도자들을 위해 기도합니까?

에베소서 6 : 19 ~ 20

또 나를 위하여 구할 것은 내게 말씀을 주사 나로 입을 열어 복음의 비밀을 담대히 알리게 하옵소서

할 것이니 이 일을 위하여 내가 쇠사슬에 매인 사신이 된 것은 나로 이

일에 당연히 할 말을 담대히 하게 하려 하심이라.

바울은 감옥에서 나가게 해달라고 요청하지 않았고 돈이나 음식을 달라고 요청하지 않았습니다. 바울은 오직 기도해달라고 요청했습니다. 그는 기도에 능력이 있음을 알았기 때문입니다.

하나님께서 그를 감옥에서 석방하실 것입니다.

사랑하는 사람을 위해 기도하고 영적인 지도자들, 선생님, 나라, 나라의 지도자들을 위해 기도하십시오.

디모데전서 2:1-2

그러므로 내가 첫째로 구하노니 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 도고와 감사를 하되 임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 단정함으로 고요하고 평안한 생활을 하려 함이라

다른 사람을 위해 기도한 몇몇 익숙한 사람들과 익숙하지 않은 사람들을 오늘 저는 나누고자 합니다.

1. 요게벳은 모세를 위해 기도했습니다.

바로는 모든 남자아이를 죽이라는 명령을 내렸습니다. 어머니 요게벳은 아들 모세를 살리려 하였지만 할 수 없게 되어 아기 모세를 상자에 넣어 나일 강에 띄웠습니다. 그녀는 모세를 위해 기도하고 또 기도했고 하나님은 원수인 바로의 딸을 통해 모세를 구하셨습니다. 기도는 기적을 가져왔습니다.

출애굽기 6 : 20

아므람은 그들의 아버지의 누이 요게벳을 아내로 맞이하였고

그는 아론과 모세를 낳았으며 아므람의 나이는 백삼십칠 세였으며.

출애굽기 2 : 3

더 숨길 수 없게 되매 그를 위하여 갈대 상자를 가져다가 역청과

나무진을 칠하고 아기를 거기 담아 나일 강 가 갈대 사이에 두고.

출애굽기 2 : 10 ~~ 그 아기가 자라매 바로의 딸에게로 데려가니 그가 그의 아들이 되니라 그가 그의

이름을 모세라 하여 이르되 이는 내가 그를 물에서 건져내었음이라 하였더라.

2. 한나는 사무엘을 위해 기도했습니다.

한나는 임신하지 못하는 여인이었습니다. 그녀는 많이 기도했고 결국 하나님께서 엘리를 통해

그녀의 기도에 응답하셨습니다. 한나는 아들 사무엘을 낳았습니다. 그녀는 아들을

위해 끊임없이 기도했고 사무엘은 축복받았습니다.

사무엘상 1 : 13, 27 ~ 28

한나가 속으로 말하매 입술만 움직이고 음성은 들리지 아니하므로 엘리는 그가 취한 줄로 생각한지라 이 아이를 위하여 내가 기도하였더니 내가 구하여 기도할 바를 여호와께서 내게 허락하신지라 그러므로 나도 그를 여호와께 드리되 그의 평생을 여호와께 드리나이다 하고 그가 거기서 여호와께 경배하니라.

3. 교회는 사도 베드로를 위해 기도했습니다.

형제자매 여러분, 사도 베드로는 예수를 전했고 그 전도 때문에 베드로는 체포되었습니다. 여기에서 우리가 알 수 있는 대단한 일은 교회의 모든 성도들이 함께 모여 베드로를 위해 기도한 것입니다.

모든 성도들이 기도로 무릎 꿇을 때 기적이 일어났습니다. 베드로는 기적적으로 풀려났습니다.

사도행전 12 : 5, 7, 11

5. 이에 베드로는 옥에 갇혔고 교회는 그를 위하여 간절히 하나님께 기도하더라 - 7. 홀연히 주의 사자가 나타나매 옥중에 광채가 빛나며 또 베드로의 옆구리를 쳐 깨워 이르되 급히 일어나라 하니 쇠사슬이 그 손에서 벗어지더라 11. 이에 베드로가 정신이 들어 이르되 내가 이제야 참으로 주께서 그의 천사를 보내어 나를 헤롯의 손과 유대 백성의 모든 기대에서 벗어나게 하신 줄 알겠노라 하여

4. 모세, 아론과 훌은 여호수아를 위해 기도했습니다.

모세, 아론과 훌이 기도할 때 여호수아는 전쟁에서 이겼고 모세가 팔을 내렸을 때 즉 기도를 멈추었을 때 여호수아는 전쟁에서 졌습니다. 모세의 기도 때문에 여호수아는 승리했습니다.

출애굽기 17 : 10 ~ 11 여호수아가 모세의 말대로 행하여 아말렉과 싸우고 모세와 아론과 훌은 산 꼭

대기에 올라가서 모세가 손을 들면 이스라엘이 이기고 손을 내리면 아말렉이 이기더니.

형제자매 여러분, 기도로 손을 올립시다. 틀림없이 하나님께서 승리를 주실 것입니다.

출애굽기 14 : 14 ~~ 여호와께서 너희를 위하여 싸우시리니 너희는 가만히 있을지니라.

5. 이삭은 아내 리브가를 위해 기도했습니다.

리브가는 임신하지 못하는 여인이었습니다. 남편 이삭은 그녀를 위해

기도했고 하나님께서 그녀에게 야곱으로 축복하셨습니다.

창세기 25 : 21 ~~ 이삭이 그의 아내가 임신하지 못하므로 그를 위하여 여호와께 간구하매

여호와께서 그의 간구를 들으셨으므로 그의 아내 리브가가 임신하였더니.

배우자는 동반자를 위해 기도하고, 가족을 위해 기도하고, 친구를 위해

기도하십시오. 틀림없이 하나님께서 응답하실 것입니다.

예레미야 33:3 너는 내게 부르짖으라 내가 네게 응답하겠고 네가 알지 못하는 크고 은밀한 일을 네게 보이리라

6. 이스마엘의 어머니 하갈.

아브라함은 하갈의 아들 이스마엘을 쫓아냈습니다. 물도 없고 식량도 없어서 이스마엘은 음식과 물을 달라고 부르짖었습니다. 하갈은 아이가 죽어가는 것을 볼 수 없었습니다. 그녀는 무릎 꿇고 기도했고 그 결과 하나님께서 음식과 물을 주셨을 뿐 아니라 이스마엘에게 장수, 행복, 건강, 큰 민족으로 축복하셨습니다.

창세기 21 : 16, 18

16. 이르되 아이가 죽는 것을 차마 보지 못하겠다 하고 화살 한 바탕 거리 떨어져 마주 앉아 바라보며 소리 내어 우니 18. 일어나 아이를 일으켜 네 손으로 붙들라 그가 큰 민족을 이루게 하리라 하시니라

결론 : -

이사야 49 : 15 ~~ 여인이 어찌 그 젖 먹는 자식을 잊겠으며 자기 태에서 난 아들을 긍휼히

여기지 않겠느냐 그들은 혹시 잊을지라도 나는 너를 잊지 아니할 것이라.

로마서 8 : 34 ~~ 누가 정죄하리요 죽으실 뿐 아니라 다시 살아나신 이는 그리스도 예수시니

그는 하나님 우편에 계신 자요 우리를 위하여 간구하시는 자시니라.

혹시 어머니는 그녀의 아이를 잊을 수 있고 배우자는 서로 잊을 수 있고 목사는 성도를 잊을 수 있습니다. 하지만 하나님은 여러분을 잊을 수 없고 예수님은 그분을 따르는 자들을 위해 기도하고 계심을 항상 기억하십시오.

누가복음 18 : 1 ~ 예수께서 그들에게 항상 기도하고 낙심하지 말아야 할 것을 비유로 말씀하여.
