Bible Reading - Luke 19:1~10

19:1 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.

예수께서 여리고로 들어가셔서 지나가시는 중이었다.

19:2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy.

삭개오라는 이름의 한 사람이 거기 있었는데 그는 세리장이었으며 부자였다.

19:3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, 그는 예수가 누구이신가 보기 원했으나

but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd.

키가 작은 사람이었기에 그는 군중들 때문에 볼 수 없었다.

19:4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him,

그래서 그는 앞서 달려가서 그를 보려고 플라타너스-무화과나무에 올라갔다.

 since Jesus was coming that way. 예수께서 그 길로 오시는 중이었기 때문에 

19:5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, 

예수께서 그 장소에 도착하셔서 그를 올려다보시며 그에게 말씀하셨다.

"Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today."

"삭개오야, 즉시 내려오너라. 나는 오늘 너의 집에 머물러야겠다."

19:6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

그래서 그는 즉시 내려와서 그를 기쁘게 맞아들였다.

19:7 All the people saw this and began to mutter,

모든 사람들이 이것을 보고서 중얼거리기 시작했다.

"He has gone to be the guest of a 'sinner.'"

그는 죄인의 손님이 되려고 갔다.

19:8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,

그러나 삭개오는 일어나서 주님께 말했다.

"Look, Lord!보십시오, 주님

Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor,

여기서 지금 나는 가난한 자들에게 내 소유의 반을 주겠습니다. 

and if I have cheated anybody out of anything,

그리고 만일 내가 어떤 것에서 어떤 사람을 속였다면 

I will pay back four times the amount."

나는 그 금액의 네 배를 돌려 주겠습니다. 

19:9 Jesus said to him, 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다.

"Today salvation has come to this house, 오늘 구원이 이 집에 이르렀다.

because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

왜냐하면 이 사람 역시 아브라함의 자손이기 때문이다. 

19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

인자는 잃어 버린 것을 찾아 구하려고 왔다.
