8 kinds of Salvation ( 7 Salvation 1 fake salvation)
(1) Salvation from the momentary Crisis
Matthew 1428 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
This has nothing to do with the salvation by being born again, but the rescue from the crisis
for a short term
Acts 27:30-31
30 And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.
This is not the salvation from the sin to eternal life, but the salvation from the momentary crisis.
1 Tim 2
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing,
if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
Pregnancy is a difficult process and requires the carefulness in many aspects.
Faith, Charity and Holiness will help them to overcome the difficulties of pregnancy and deivery in safety.
This doesn’t mean the salvation from the darkness of the sin, but the grace offered to
the women who were born again already by the Holy Spirit.
(2) Salvation from the chronic, Longterm disease, pain, persecution
Mt 9:20-22
20 and lo, a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, having come to him behind, did touch the fringe of his garments,21 for she said within herself, `If only I may touch his garment, I shall be saved.'22 And Jesus having turned about, and having seen her, said, `Be of good courage, daughter, thy faith hath saved thee,' and the woman was saved from that hour. (YLT)
The woman was healed and saved from the disease of blood issue, which doesn’t mean
the salvation of her soul from the sin.
(3) Salvation of the Soul for Eternal Life- Being Born Again
Luke 13
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luke 19:
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
John 3
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Seeing the Kingdom of God is the Salvation of the Soul
Acts 2
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people.
And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Salvation of the soul is not the longtime process but a moment of accepting the Holy Spirit!
Holy Spirit doesn’t take a long time to enter into the hearts of the people who are willing
to accept and believe Him.
Acts 4
12 and there is not salvation in any other, for there is no other name under the heaven that hath been given among men, in which it behoveth us to be saved.'
Acts 16
30 and having brought them forth, said, `Sirs, what must I do -- that I may be saved?'
31 and they said, `Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved -- thou and thy house;'
Salvation comes by believing in Jesus Christ : Salvation of the soul
Ephesians 2
8 for by grace ye are having been saved, through faith, and this not of you -- of God the gift,
9 not of works, that no one may boast;
Daniel 12
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
The people whose name were already written in the Book of Life were already saved and they will get
The Resurrection of Life ( Rev 20:15)
(4) Salvation of Second Stage : Sanctification
Phil 2
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Many people misunderstand this verse as the salvation of the soul
This is not talking about the salvation of the soul from going to the Hell.
Paul is writing this epistle to the Overseers, Deacons, and Saints( 1:1) Were they not saved yet?
Yes, they were saved!
Phil 1:19
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer,
and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
Is Paul talking about his own salvation from going to the Hell? No!
He was already saved on the road to Damascus!
He is talking about the second stage salvation which is overcoming many obstacles
and getting sanctification.
1 Tim 3
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Was Timothy not saved yet? Yes! He was already saved! But he needed
the continuous salvation until he die, which is the sanctification of the soul and the spiritual growth of
his soul who is already born again by believing.
(5) Salvation of the Body of the Soul who is already saved
1 Peter 1
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Souls were saved when they were recorded in the Book of Life
The bodies of the souls will be saved in the future by Resurrection
It will be the recovery of the Soul and Body
Hebrews 9
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Hebrews 10
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
These verses talk about the salvation of the bodies with the souls.
2 Tim 4
18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen
Apostle Paul wasn’t saved yet? He was saved already but was looking forward to the salvation
of his body and soul to reach the heavenly Kingdom after resurrection.
1 Peter 4
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Any righteous person was already saved when he became righteous, but his body and soul will be
saved by the resurrection.
(6) Salvation lasting to the End.
This can be the most controversial and the following is my view.
Mt 10
22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Mt 24
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mk 13
13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end,
the same shall be saved.
Revelation 14:12
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God,
and the faith of Jesus.
Anyone who are born again and saved already will be hated by the world and by the people,
but they will be saved with the award of righteousness when they endured to the End.
What if anyone who was saved by being born again but he went apostate due to the severe persecution?
If he repent, he will be saved but will get the naked salvation (1 Cor 5:5)
without award like the crown of righteousness (2 Tim 4:8)
If he doesn’t repent, he might have not been saved from the beginning and was a fake Christian
without his knowledge, and won’t be saved. ( Revelation 3:5)
If anyone who was born again fall in the tribulation, and he died due to the earthquake or any plagues,
What will happen to him?
Revelation 14:13
3 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
He will be saved but no more increase of the award.
What about the LAPSI’s during the persecution by Emperor Decius (December 249-June 251AD)?
If they truly repented, they would have been saved but got the shameful salvation without award.
(7) National Salvation
Jeremiah 42:11
Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the Lord:
for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
Acts 1
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Jude 1
5 Now I want to remind you, though you know all these things:The Lord[b] first[c] saved
a people out of Egypt and later destroyed those who did not believe.
LORD saved the nation of Israel out of Egypt but some individuals were destroyed.
Exodus 14
30 That day the Lord saved Israel from the power of the Egyptians, and Israel saw
the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
ZECHARIAH 12
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
The whole nation of Israel will realize their ancestors killed the Messiah and will repent vehemently
and the whole nation will be saved, though some or a few individuals may not believe and not saved yet.
This will happen to Israel soon!
(8) Fake Salvation
Jeremiah 7
8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; 10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
Mt 7
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mt 25: 31-46
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
MT 13
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
John 8
30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Many believed in Jesus, but later on, they tried to kill Jesus by stoning!
The above verses are all talking about the fake Salvation!
In Summary, there are 8 salvations which include 7 salvation and 1 fake salvation
God is the Judge and He knows who belongs to Him
