20:11 He sent another servant, but that one also they beat and treated shamefully and sent away empty-handed.

그는 다른 하인을 보냈지만, 그들은 그 하인마저도 때리고 모욕하여 빈손으로 돌려보냈다.

20:12 He sent still a third, and they wounded him and threw him out.

그는 여전히 세 번째 사람을 보냈지만, 그들은 그에게 부상을 입히고 내쫓았다.

20:13 "Then the owner of the vineyard said, 그때 포도원 주인이 말했다.

'What shall I do? 내가 무엇을 할까?

 I will send my son, whom I love; 내가 사랑하는 나의 아들을 보낼 것이다. 

perhaps they will respect him.' 아마도 그들은 그를 존중할 것이다. 

20:14 "But when the tenants saw him, they talked the matter over. 

그러나 그 소작인들이 그를 보았을 때, 그들은 그 문제에 대하여 이야기를 나누었다.

'This is the heir,' they said. 그들은 '이 사람은 그의 상속자이다.'라고 말했다.

'Let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.'

그를 죽이자, 그러면 그 유산이 우리의 것이 될 것이다.

20:15 So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

그래서 그들은 그를 포도원 밖으로 쫓아내어 죽였다.

 "What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?

그러면 그 포도원의 주인은 그들에게 무엇을 해야 할 것인가?

20:16 He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others." 

그는 와서 그 소작인들을 죽이고 다른 자들에게 그 포도원을 줄 것이다.

When the people heard this, they said, "May this never be!"

사람들이 이것을 들었을 때, 그들은 "절대로 이러한 것일 일어나서는 안됩니다."하고 말했다.

20:17 Jesus looked directly at them and asked, 예수께서 그들을 똑바로 바라 보시며 물으셨다.

"Then what is the meaning of that which is written: 그렇다면 기록된 말씀의 의미는 무엇인가?

"'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone'?

건축자들이 버린 돌이 머릿돌이 되었단 말인가?

20:18 Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, 

그 돌 위에 떨어지는 모든 사람은 조각조각 부서질 것이다. 

but he on whom it falls will be crushed." 그러나 그것이 떨어지는 자는 짓눌려 질 것이다.

20:19 The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way to arrest him immediately, 

율법 교사들과 대제사장들은 즉각적으로 그를 체포할 방법을 찾았다.

because they knew he had spoken this parable against them. 

왜냐하면 그들은 그가 그들을 대항하여 이 비유를 말했다는 것을 알았기 때문이다. 

But they were afraid of the people. 그러나 그들은 사람들을 두려워했다.

20:20 Keeping a close watch on him, 그를 예의주시하며 

they sent spies, who pretended to be honest. 그들은 정직한 척하는 첩자들을 보냈다.

They hoped to catch Jesus in something he said 

그들은 예수께서 하신 말씀 중 어떤 부분에서든 그의 꼬투리를 잡기를 바랬다.

so that they might hand him over to the power and authority of the governor.

그들이 그를 총독의 권력과 권위에 넘겨줄 수 있도록 하기 위하여
