正軍means chosun levy.
Chosun mobilized army by conscription . Man at the age of 60 until the age of 16, even including slave, was the target of conscription. chosun organized them 3people per group and extracted one people to service for army.
The majority of 15~16c chosun army armed with short spear. So majority of 正軍 was spearman. They buy spear and armor of itself.
But because of long peace, and due to the physical, financial burden there was widespread military shirker in chosun. As a result, poor people who can't defray money to shirk millitary service become majority of chosun army and there armor and weapons was as poor as there will to millitary service. This was main reason of weaken chosun army.
But at least they wear uniform and armed with spear because soldiers who did not armed purnished by court-martial. Especially, chosun levy who live in frontier areas well armed with 철갑 or 지갑 and trained well to fight with Ruzhens or Woku.

保人 means chosun's basic archer.

보인 must reserve their weapons and sometimes belonged to reserve forces named '雜色軍‘and undergo military training. but their burden was bearable compared to 正軍’s. Because they lived long life in peace, 保人 preferred firing rather than melee combat.

chosun guerrilla(Righteous Army) is volunteered battle force to save there country and family. Most famous guerrillas during history of korea was guerrillas who rised in arms during Imjin war. They volunteered due to cultural sense of superiority and hostility to invaders. They rised almost all of regions occupied by japan. So japanese army suffered to defend supply route by them. Unlike chosun army, they was nimble and had high fighting spirit.
Righteous armies included peasants, scholars, former government officials, and Buddhist warrior monks as well.
