I Will Pass Over You(Exodus 12 : 1 ~ 20)

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, “This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you. Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their father’s houses, a lamb for a household. And if the household is too small take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take from the sheep or from the goats, and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight. “Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it. Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted, its head with its legs and its inner parts. And you shall let none of it remain until the morning; anything that remains until the morning you shall burn. In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the Lord. The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt. “This day shall be for you a memorial day, and you shall keep it as a feast. Seven days you shall remove leaven out of your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel. On the first day you shall hold a holy assembly, and on the seventh day a holy assembly. No work shall be done on those days. But what everyone needs to eat, that alone may be prepared by you. And you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this very day I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day, throughout your generations, as a statute forever. In the first month, from the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at evening. For seven days no leaven is be found in your houses. seven days no leaven is to be found in your houses. If anyone eats what is leavened, that person will be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a sojourner or a native of the land. You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwelling places you shall eat unleavened bread.”

내가 넘어가리라(출애굽기 12 : 1 ~ 20)

여호와께서 이집트에서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하셨다. “지금부터 너희는 이 달을 한 해의 첫 달로 삼고 모든 이스라엘 백성들에게 이 달 10일에 각 가족 단위로 어린 양을 한 마리식 준비하라고 하라, 식구가 너무 적어서 양 한 마리를 다 먹을 수 없으면 사람 수와 한 사람이 먹을 수 있는 양을 계산해서 자기 이웃집과 함께 나눠 먹도록 하라. 너희가 준비할 어린 양은 흠이 없고 1년 된 수컷이어야 하며 양이 없는 집은 양 대신 염소를 준비해도 된다. 너희는 그양이 염소를 이 달 14일까지 간직해 두었다가 해질 무렵에 모든 양을 잡고 피는 그 양을 먹을 집의 문설주와 상인방에 바르고 그 날 밤 그 고기를 불에 구워서 쓴 나물과 누룩을 넣지 않은 빵과 함께 먹어라. 그러나 그 고기를 날것으로 먹거나 물에 삶아 먹어서는 안되며 머리와 다리를 포함하여 내장이 들어 있는 그ㅇ대로 불에 구워서 먹어야 한다. 그리고 너희는 그 어느 것도 아침까지 남겨두어서는 안 되며 만일 아침까지 남은 것이 있으면 불에 태워 버려라. 너희가 그것을 먹을 때는 허리띠를 두르고 신발을 신고 지팡이를 든 채 급히 먹어라. 이것은 나 여호와의 유월절이다. “그 날 밤에 내가 이집트 땅을 두루 다니며 사람과 짐승을 가리지 않고 이집트에서 처음 난 것을 모조리 죽이고 이집트의 모든 신들을 벌할 것이다. 나는 여호와이다. 그 피는 너희가 살고 있는 집의 표시가 될 것이다. 내가 피를 보면 너희를 넘어가겠다. 내가 이집트를 벌할 때에 너희에게는 아무 해가 마치지 않을 것이다. 너희는 이 날을 나 여호와가 행한 일을 기억하는 명절로 삼아 기념하고 대대로 지켜라. “너희는 7일 동안 누룩 넣지 않은 빵을 먹어야 하며 그 첫날에 너희 집에서 누룩을 제거해야 한다. 그 7일 동안에 누룩 넣은 빵을 먹는 사람은 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 제거될 것이다. 그 기간의 첫날과 7일에 너희는 거룩한 모임을 갖고 아무 일도 하지 말며 각자 먹을 음식만 준비하여라. 너희는 누룩을 넣지 않고 빵을 만들어 먹는 이 무교절을 지켜라. 내가 이 날에 너희를 이집트에서 인도해 내겠다. 그러므로 너희는 이 날을 명절로 삼아 대대로 지켜라. 너희는 정월 14일 저녁부터 그 달 21일 저녁까지 누룩 넣지 않은 빵을 먹어야 하며 그 7일 동안 너희 집에 누룩을 두어서는 안된다. 누룩 넣은 빵을 먹는 사람은 타국인이든 본국인이든 이스라엘 백성 가운데서 제거될 것이다. 누룩 넣은 것은 그 어떤 것도 먹지 말아라. 너희는 어느 곳에 살든지 누룩 넣지 않은 빵을 먹어야 한다.”
