From now on, I would like to introduce two cities in Korea. The first city I will introduce to you is 'Cheonan', where I currently live. It means a comfortable city under the sky. In fact, Cheonan is located in the middle of Korea, so the weather is good on average and the risk of disasters is low.
Since the Joseon Dynasty, Cheonan Samgeori has served as the center of transportation. As traffic is still very advanced, it is possible to move quickly and comfortably to any city. Because of this, Cheonan has a large floating population, and there are the largest number of buses to and from Seoul in the country.
Cheonan is also the hometown of Yu Gwan-sun, and it is meaningful in that the March 1st Movement took place at Aunae Market. There is an Independence Hall of Korea in Cheonan, a meaningful place where visitors to Cheonan must visit at least once in memory of the hardships of Japanese colonial era and the independence movement that fought to restore the country.
Cheonan-si City holds the Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival every year, and it is full of food and entertainment for all ages and men and women. Especially on the day of the street parade, downtown Cheonan is always filled with people. You can see pretty willow trees in Samgeori Park, which is also the venue for the festival. Cheonan is also home to Hyundai Capital Skywalkers, a professional volleyball team.
The next city to introduce is Seoul, the capital of Korea. Seoul is also the place where I was born and lived when I was young before moving to Cheonan. The Han River flows through the center of Seoul, and in the past, the three kingdoms fought to take over the Han River. During the Joseon Dynasty, Hanyang was called Gyeongseong in Japanese colonial era and Seoul was first called after the liberation. Seoul is the capital of the Republic of Korea, and the nation's governing bodies, including the legislature, the administration and the judiciary, are concentrated. In Jongno-gu, there are important national organizations such as Cheong Wa Dae, the Seoul Government Complex, and the Constitutional Court, and in Jeong-dong, Jung-gu, diplomatic embassies of each country are concentrated. In addition, the National Assembly is formed in Yeouido and the Supreme Court in Seocho-gu.
Also, Seoul is very developed in transportation, so unlike Cheonan, public transportation such as subways and buses are very active.
