† The secret of Abraham’s blessings †

Dear friends, around the world people are seeking the blessings. Parents want blessings, children want blessings, teachers want blessings, students want blessings, pastors want blessings and congregation want blessings. Let me ask you a question. Do you want blessings? Of course everyone want to have blessings. Am I right? Today let’s learn about the most blessed person ABRAHAM. Why, he was so blessed? Why, God blessed him? If we want to be blessed, let’s follow the foot prints of ABRAHAM.

Hebrews 6 : 14 ~ 15

saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.”

And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

Genesis 12 : 2 ~ 3

“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great,

and you will be a blessing. - I will bless those who bless you, & whoever curses

you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

Brothers and sisters, today, let us learn few reasons. Why, God blessed ABRAHAM?

1. Abraham obeyed God’s command.

God commanded Abraham to leave his home town, his family, his parents, his relatives and go to the promised land and God bless him and make him a great nation. Without any argument he obeyed.

Genesis 12 : 1 ~ 2

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people

and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “

Abraham never made any argument or dialogue. God first bless me. Make me rich, give descendants, then I will move. Abraham listened and took his wife and moved towards God’s promised land. 2ndly. God ask Abraham to give the sacrifice of his beloved son Issac. Abraham just obeyed God’s command.

Genesis 22 : 2

Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love Isaac and go to the

region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”

Abraham obeyed as God said. Abraham took his son Issac and went Moriah mountain to give sacrifice.

Genesis 22 : 16 ~ 17

and said, “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this & have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you & make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky & as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,

1st. Samuel 15 : 22

But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in

obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, & to heed is better than the fat of rams.

2. Abraham left his safety zone.

Friends, Abraham was happy and safe in his father’s house. If Abraham had any problem. His brothers, sisters, friend, mom, everyone was beside him. After hearing God’s word. Abraham left his safety zone and that was cause of his blessings. Friends, let’s leave our SAFETY ZONE to be blessed.

Proverbs 10 : 4 ~~~ Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.

Proverbs 12 : 27 ~~ he lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

Philippians 1 : 6 ~ being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

3. Abraham gave tithe & offering to God.

Abraham never made any argument in giving God’s way. He gave tithes & offerings and helped others.

Genesis 14 : 18 ~ 20 (He was 1st person who tithe without any command)

Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven & earth. And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Hebrews 7 : 2

and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek

means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.”

Brothers & sisters, secret of blessings is hidden in giving. Giving to God and God’s people. Help others.

Malachi 3 : 10

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour

out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Luke 6 : 38

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running

over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

4. Abraham was an interceder.

Friends, when God planned to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. God informed Abraham. Abraham never said, God you made a right decision. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah are so corrupted. Let’s destroy the city. But Abraham start to dialogue or intercede for the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Even though his nephew Lot cheated Abraham & chose good place for him. Abraham intercede for him.

Genesis 18 : 32

Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if

only ten can be found there?” He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”

Abraham start interceding pray from 50 – 45 – 40 – 30 – 20 & finally he intercede pray for 10 people.

Don’t pray for your beloved one’s only. Pray for others. Pray interceding pray. Pray as Jesus is praying.

Romans 8 : 34

Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died more than that,

who was raised to life is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

5. Abraham was a peace maker.

Lot the nephew of Abraham cheated his uncle Abraham. Lot chose the well grassy land for his animals & people. Abraham never complained. Abraham never said, I will choose first but Abraham gave Lot to chose.

Genesis 13 : 8 ~ 9

So Abram said to Lot, “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders

and mine, for we are close relatives. Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company.

If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.”

Matthew 5 : 9 ESV ~~ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Conclusion :-

Revelation 1 : 3 ~~~ Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, &

blessed are those who hear it & take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

Psalms 1 : 1 ~~ Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the

wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,

아브라함의 축복의 비밀

전 세계 사람들은 축복을 구합니다. 부모도 축복을 원하고 자녀도 축복을 원하고, 선생도 축복을 원하고, 학생도 축복을 원하고, 목사도 축복을 원하고, 성도도 축복을 원합니다. 질문을 하겠습니다. 여러분도 축복을 원하십니까? 물론입니다. 모든 사람이 축복을 받고자 합니다. 그렇죠? 오늘, 가장 축복 받은 사람 아브라함에 대해 배워봅시다. 왜 그는 그렇게 축복을 받았을까요? 왜, 하나님은 그를 축복하셨을까요?

우리도 축복 받고자 한다면 아브라함의 발자취를 따릅시다.

히브리서 6 : 14 ~ 15

이르시되 내가 반드시 너에게 복 주고 복 주며 너를 번성하게 하고

번성하게 하리라 하셨더니 그가 이같이 오래 참아 약속을 받았느니라.

창세기 12 : 2 ~ 3

내가 너로 큰 민족을 이루고 네게 복을 주어 네 이름을 창대하게 하리니 너는 복이 될지라

너를 축복하는 자에게는 내가 복을 내리고 너를 저주하는 자에게는 내가 저주하리니

땅의 모든 족속이 너로 말미암아 복을 얻을 것이라 하신지라.

형제자매 여러분, 왜 하나님께서 아브라함을 축복하셨는지 몇 가지 이유를 배워봅시다.

1. 아브라함은 하나님의 명령에 순종했습니다.

하나님은 아브라함에게 고향, 가족, 부모, 친척을 떠나 약속의 땅으로 가라고 명령하셨고

하나님은 그를 축복하시고 큰 민족을 이루셨습니다. 그는 논쟁하지 않고 순종했습니다.

창세기 12 : 1 ~ 2

여호와께서 아브람에게 이르시되 너는 너의 고향과 친척과 아버지의 집을 떠나 내가 네게 보여 줄 땅으로 가라 내가 너로 큰 민족을 이루고 네게 복을 주어 네 이름을 창대하게 하리니 너는 복이 될지라.

아브라함은 ‘하나님이 먼저 나를 축복하시고 부자가 되게 하시고 후손들을 주시면 떠나겠다’는 핑계나 의견을 내지 않았습니다. 아브라함은 듣고 아내를 데리고 하나님의 약속의 땅으로 갔습니다. 두 번째,

하나님이 아브라함에게 사랑하는 아들 이삭을 희생제물로 바치라고 요구하셨습니다.

아브라함은 하나님의 명령에 순종했습니다.

창세기 22 : 2

여호와께서 이르시되 네 아들 네 사랑하는 독자 이삭을 데리고 모리아

땅으로 가서 내가 네게 일러 준 한 산 거기서 그를 번제로 드리라.

아브라함은 하나님이 말씀하신 대로 순종했습니다.

아브라함은 희생제물을 드리기 위해 아들 이삭을 데리고 모리아 산으로 갔습니다.

창세기 22 : 16 ~ 17

이르시되 여호와께서 이르시기를 내가 나를 가리켜 맹세하노니 네가 이같이 행하여 네 아들

네 독자도 아끼지 아니하였은즉 내가 네게 큰 복을 주고 네 씨가 크게 번성하여 하늘의

별과 같고 바닷가의 모래와 같게 하리니 네 씨가 그 대적의 성문을 차지하리라.

사무엘상 15 : 22

사무엘이 이르되 여호와께서 번제와 다른 제사를 그의 목소리 청종하는 것을 좋아하심

같이 좋아하시겠나이까 순종이 제사보다 낫고 듣는 것이 숫양의 기름보다 나으니.

2. 아브라함은 안전지대를 떠났습니다.

아브라함은 그의 아버지 집에서 행복하고 안전했습니다. 아브라함에게 어떤 문제가 생기면 형제, 누이, 친구, 어머니, 모든 사람이 그의 옆에 있었습니다. 하나님의 말씀을 들은 후 아브라함은 안전지대를 떠났고 그것은 축복의 이유였습니다. 축복 받으려면 우리의 안전지대를 떠납시다.

잠언 10 : 4 ~~~ 손을 게으르게 놀리는 자는 가난하게 되고 손이 부지런한 자는 부하게 되느니라.

잠언 12 : 27 ~~~ 게으른 자는 그 잡을 것도 사냥하지 아니하나니 사람의 부귀는 부지런한 것이니라.

빌립보서 1 : 6

너희 안에서 착한 일을 시작하신 이가 그리스도 예수의 날까지 이루실 줄을 우리는 확신하노라.

3. 아브라함은 십일조와 예물을 하나님께 드렸습니다.

아브라함은 하나님의 것을 드릴 때 어떤 논쟁도 하지 않았습니다.

그는 십일조와 예물을 드렸고 다른 사람을 도왔습니다.

창세기 14 : 18 ~ 20 (그는 아무런 명령 없이 십일조를 드린 첫 번째 사람이었습니다.)

살렘 왕 멜기세덱이 떡과 포도주를 가지고 나왔으니 그는 지극히 높으신 하나님의 제사장이었더라

그가 아브람에게 축복하여 이르되 천지의 주재이시요 지극히 높으신 하나님이여 아브람에게

복을 주옵소서 너희 대적을 네 손에 붙이신 지극히 높으신 하나님을 찬송할지로다

하매 아브람이 그 얻은 것에서 십분의 일을 멜기세덱에게 주었더라.

히브리서 7 : 2 ~~~ 아브라함이 모든 것의 십분의 일을 그에게 나누어 주니라 그 이름을

해석하면 먼저는 의의 왕이요 그 다음은 살렘 왕이니 곧 평강의 왕이요.

형제자매 여러분, 축복의 비밀이 드림에 숨어있습니다.

하나님과 하나님의 사람들에게 드리고 다른 사람을 도우십시오.

말라기 3 : 10

만군의 여호와가 이르노라 너희의 온전한 십일조를 창고에 들여 나의 집에 양식이 있게 하고

그것으로 나를 시험하여 내가 하늘 문을 열고 너희에게 복을 쌓을 곳이 없도록 붓지 아니하나 보라.

누가복음 6 : 38 ~ 주라 그리하면 너희에게 줄 것이니 곧 후히 되어 누르고 흔들어 넘치도록 하여

너희에게 안겨 주리라 너희가 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희도 헤아림을 도로 받을 것이니라.

4. 아브라함은 중보자였습니다.

하나님께서 소돔과 고모라를 멸망하시려 하셨을 때 아브라함에게 알리셨습니다. 아브라함은 이렇게

말하지 않았습니다. “하나님께서 옳은 결정을 하셨습니다. 소돔과 고모라 사람들은 너무 부패했습니다.

그 도시를 멸망시킵시다.” 아브라함은 소돔과 고모라 사람들을 중재하며 말하기 시작했습니다.

조카 롯이 아브라함을 속이고 좋은 땅을 택했음에도 불구하고 그를 위해 중재했습니다.

창세기 18 : 32

아브라함이 또 이르되 주는 노하지 마옵소서 내가 이번만 더 아뢰리이다 거기서 십 명을

찾으시면 어찌 하려 하시나이까 이르시되 내가 십 명으로 말미암아 멸하지 아니하리라.

아브라함은 50,45,40,30,20명으로부터 마침내 10명을 위해 중보기도하기 시작했습니다. 사랑하는 사람만을 위해 기도하지 마십시오. 다른 사람을 위해 기도하십시오. 중보기도하십시오. 예수님이 기도하신 것처럼 기도하십시오.

로마서 8 : 34

누가 정죄하리요 죽으실 뿐 아니라 다시 살아나신 이는 그리스도 예수시니

그는 하나님 우편에 계신 자요 우리를 위하여 간구하시는 자시니라.

5. 아브라함은 화평을 만드는 사람이었습니다.

아브라함의 조카 롯은 삼촌 아브라함을 속였습니다. 롯은 그의 가축과 가족들을 위해 풀이 풍성한 땅을 택했습니다. 아브라함은 불평하지 않았습니다. 내가 먼저 택하겠다고 하지 않고 롯에게 택하도록 했습니다.

창세기 13 : 8 ~ 9

아브람이 롯에게 이르되 우리는 한 친족이라 나나 너나 내 목자나 네 목자나 서로 다투게 하지

말자 네 앞에 온 땅이 있지 아니하냐 나를 떠나가라 네 좌하면 나는 우하고 네가 우하면 나는 좌하리라

마태복음 5 : 9 (ESV) 화평하게 하는 자는 복이 있나니 그들이 하나님의 아들이라 일컬음을 받을 것임이요

결론 :-

요한계시록 1 : 3

이 예언의 말씀을 읽는 자와 듣는 자와 그 가운데에 기록한 것을 지키는 자는 복이 있나니 때가 가까움이라

시편 1 : 1

복 있는 사람은 악인들이 꾀를 따르지 아니하며 죄인들의 길에 서지 아니하며 오만한 자리에 앉지 아니하고
