1. What is the contents of the text?-1.Draw near, O nations, to hear; and listen, O peoples! Let the earth and all it contains hear, and the world and all that springs from it.
-2.For the LORD'S indignation is against all the nations, And His wrath against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to slaughter.
-3.So their slain will be thrown out, And their corpses will give off their stench, And the mountains will be drenched with their blood.
-4.And all the host of heaven will wear away, And the sky will be rolled up like a scroll; All their hosts will also wither away As a leaf withers from the vine, Or as one withers from the fig tree.
-5.For My sword is satiated in heaven, Behold it shall descend for judgment upon Edom And upon the people whom I have devoted to destruction.
-6.The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, It is sated with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams. For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
-7.Wild oxen will also fall with them And young bulls with strong ones; Thus their land will be soaked with blood, And their dust become greasy with fat.
-8.For the LORD has a day of vengeance, A year of recompense for the cause of Zion.
-9.Its streams will be turned into pitch, And its loose earth into brimstone, And its land will become burning pitch.
-10.It will not be quenched night or day; Its smoke will go up forever From generation to generation it will be desolate; None will pass through it forever and ever.
-11.But pelican and hedgehog will possess it, And owl and raven will dwell in it; And He will stretch over it the line of desolation And the plumb line of emptiness.
-12.Its nobles--there is no one there Whom they may proclaim king-- And all its princes will be nothing.
-13.Thorns will come up in its fortified towers, Nettles and thistles in its fortified cities; It will also be a haunt of jackals And an abode of ostriches.
-14.The desert creatures will meet with the wolves, The hairy goat also will cry to its kind; Yes, the night monster will settle there And will find herself a resting place.
-15.The tree snake will make its nest and lay eggs there, And it will hatch and gather them under its protection. Yes, the hawks will be gathered there, Every one with its kind.
-16.Seek from the book of the LORD, and read: Not one of these will be missing; None will lack its mate For His mouth has commanded, And His Spirit has gathered them.
-17.He has cast the lot for them, And His hand has divided it to them by line They shall possess it forever; From generation to generation they will dwell in it.

그 사체의 악취가(3c)

솟아오르고(3d)

그 피에 산들이(3e)

녹을 것이며(3f)

하늘들이(4c)

두루마리 같이 말리되(4d)

그 만상의 쇠잔함이(4e)

포도나무 잎이 마름 같고(4f)

무화과나무 잎이(4g)

하늘에서 족하게 마셨은즉(5b)

보라 이것이(5c)

에돔 위에 내리며(5d)

멸망으로 정한(5e)

백성 위에 내려서(5f)

그를 심판할 것이라(5g)

염소의 피에 만족하고(6c)

기름 곧 수양의(6d)

콩팥 기름에 윤택하니(6e)

이는 여호와께서(6f)

큰 살육을 행하심이라(6j)

들소와 송아지와 수소가(7a)

한 가지로(7b)

도살장에 내려가니(7c)

그들의 땅이 피에 취하며(7d)

흙이 기름으로 윤택하리라(7e)

보수할 날이요(8b)

시온의 송사를 위하여(8c)

신원하실 해라(8d)

에돔의 시내들은 변하여(9a)

역청이 되고(9b)

그 티끌은 유황이 되고(9c)

그 땅은 불붙는 역청이 되며(9d)

낮에나 밤에나 꺼지지 않고(10a)

그 연기가 끊임없이(10b)

떠오를 것이며(10c)

세세에 황무하여(10d)

그리로 지날 자가(10e)

영영히 없겠고(10f)

당아와 고슴도치가(11a)

그 땅을 차지하며(11b)

부엉이와 까마귀가(11c)

거기 거할 것이라(11d)

여호와께서 혼란의 줄과(11e)

공허의 추를(11f)

에돔에 베푸실 것인즉(11g)

그들이 국가를 이으려 하여(12a)

귀인들을 부르되(12b)

아무도 없겠고(12c)

그 모든 방백도(12d)

없게 될 것이요(12e)

그 궁궐에는(13a)

가시나무가 나며(13b)

엉겅퀴와 새품이 자라서(13d)

시랑의 굴과(13e)

타조의 처소가 될 것이니(13f)

올빼미가 거기 거하여(14c)

쉬는 처소를 삼으며(14d)

알을 낳아 까서(15b)

그 그늘에 모으며(15c)

솔개들도 그 짝과 함께(15d)

거기 모이리라(15e)

자세히 읽어보라(16b)

이것들이(16c)

하나도 빠진 것이 없고(16d)

하나도 그 짝이(16e)

없는 것이 없으리니(16f)

이는 여호와의 입이(16g)

이를 명하셨고(16h)

그의 신이(16i)

이것들을 모으셨음이라(16j)

2-1) 본문의 내용이 무엇인가?

-에돔은 유다와 형제국가이면서도 유다가 앗수르에 침탈당하고 바벨론에 멸망당할 때

-그 기회를 틈타 유다 백성들을 잡아 인신매매했고(옵1:12-14)각종 이득을 취했다.

-에돔을 향한 하나님의 진노와 진멸은 죄에 대한 심판이었다.

-하나님께서 보복의 날, 신원의 날을 선언하신 것이다.

-심판 당한 에돔은 폐허가 된다. 그 현장에 온갖 동물과 새들이 차지하게 될 것이고,

-가나나무와 엉겅퀴 등 열매 없는 식물들이 어지럽게 자라게 될 것이다.

-불안은 사람을 움직이게 한다. 멈추면 무너지고 뒤쳐질 것 같다. 위기의 시대마다 인간은

-눈에 보이는 힘을 찾아 나선다. 유다도 앗수르의 위협 앞에서 하나님 보다 야곱의 군대를

-더 현실적으로 여겼다. 이제는 애굽을 피난처처럼 붙든다. 두려움은 기억을 희뿌였게 만든다.

3) 하나님은 어떤 분이신가?

-만국을 향해 심판을 작정하심

-에돔을 심판하시어 시온의 원수를 갚으심

-말씀이 성품과 동일하심-자신의 뜻을 확고히 펼쳐 가심

4) 내게 주시는 교훈은 무엇인가?

-열방을 향한 진노와 심판

-에돔을 향한 하나님의 정의

-하나님의 말씀은 반드시 이뤄지리라

-에돔이 유다를 유린하다

-에돔에 보복하시는 하나님

-제 짝이 없는 것이 없다

-심판의 대상-세상의 권력과 하늘 땅 모두, 물 없는 나무와 같이 메마르게 됨

-에돔의 심판은 이스라엘을 괴롭히던 자의 종말-나의 모든 억울함, 답답함이

-하나님의 통치아래서 해소됨

(1)정말 억울함은 풀리고 불의는 심판받는 것인가?

(2)불안을 넘어 신뢰로 나아가는 것을 선택하는가?
