(Titus 1:3)
“and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,”
God, we love you.
God, we thank you.
<본 문>
(Titus 1:3) and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,
April is the month of preaching the Word.
We have to preach the Word to our neighbors.
Praching the Word is our Mission and what we are called for.
Jesus said that he had come to preach the Word.
(Mark 1:38-9) Jesus replied, "Let us go somewhere else--to the nearby villages--so I can preach there also. That is why I have come." So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
So he did his best to preach the Word.
He also sent the apostles to the Jews to preach the Word.
(Mark 3:14) He appointed twelve--designating them apostles--that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach
In today’s Word, Paul says
(Titus 1:3) and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,
Jesus revealed his Word by preaching.
Then, what did he preach?
He preached eternal life promised by God before the beginning of time.
(Titus 1:2) a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,
So God reveals eternal life to people by preaching.
Those who believe Jesus can get eternal life and live in the kingdom of heaven forever.
Those who don’t get eternal life will suffer in hell eternally.
So being saved and getting eternal life is so important.
We have to preach the Word, even to the last one, so that no one may be punished into hell but get eternal life in heaven.
1. The reason to preach the Word
1) Heaven and hell after death
(Matthew 18:9) And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
(Matthew 23:15) "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.“
(Matthew 23:33) "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?“
(Mark 9:43) "If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out."
2) The chance to be delivered is given to us only when we are alive
It is the decision made by the Creator: no one can change it.
2. We have to preach the Word to our family
We can learn the lesson and importance to preach the Word to our family members.
(Luke 16:19-31) (19) "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. (20) At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores (21) and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. (22) "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. (23) In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. (24) So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' (25) "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. (26) And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' (27) "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, (28) for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' (29) "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' (30) " 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' (31) "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "
Your family will cry out to save them in the torching fire of hell.
Will you just watch their pains?
Or will you let them be saved by all means?
All the Christinas have the Mission to preach the Word to their families.
(2 Timothy 4:5) But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
3. Ten Commendament of Preaching
1) Pray for the target to preach by calling his name
2) Never be afraid of people to preach

9) Make notes for the target people and pray for them frequently

<결 론>
(Mark 16:15) He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."
(Acts 1:8) "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.“
(Acts 5:42) Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.
(1 Corinthians 9:16) Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
(2 Timothy 4:1-5) [1] In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: [2] Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. [3] For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. [4] They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. [5] But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
<A story of a doctor who loved souls>
Let me intoduce a story about a doctor: which is uploaded in the collection of testmony. A doctor opened a clinic. Late at night when all the employees went home, he counted the daily revenue before his safe. That was the only way to refresh himself. All his concern was just money.
One night, however, this thought crossed his mind suddenly on his way of counting money. “What can I report to God when I am before the eyes of God? Will he be delighted if I say all I have done is just counting the bills from the patients’ pockets?” He felt this remorse made his face blushed. Then, he started thinking what can make God happy most. The Word crossed his mind,
(Daniel 12:3) Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
After that moment, the doctor healed the patients with all his efforts and preached the Word to them, saying “believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be healed and saved.” He healed the patients in discussion of death and afterlife. At every night, he prayed for the patients who he wanted to preach. Thereafter, he felt satisfied at the thought that God received the glory from his work. He also recognizes the purpose of life which God made him for. People began trusting the doctor. Running the hospital also seems very successful. Preaching can save the people whose souls are more pecious than the world.
(Mark 8:36) What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?
We all have the mission to preach the Word.
Cheer up and do your best in praching.
Hallelujah.
