[모임공지] Announcement for the study 7/16 (ripple must be given to participate)

 A brief summary of last meeting   

We had 6 English Talkaholics, Jay, Young, Chris, Jieun, Yujin and me.

Jay and Yujin's choice of topic interested us all and hopefully mine did the same.

It was literally 'bloody' debate on the topic of Enlish-only campus, went on animately with high-octane spirits of members.  

We unwound aftermath over a coffee, and it was really nice meeting you all.

     Step1. Please leave your name(Korean/English), your reason why you wish to join this group and phone number, as a 'ripple' to this post. 

    Step2. Call me on my cell 010-2206-0957, you'll have a brief interview.

  Itinerary (every Saturday afternoon)

<PART1>

  1:30 ~ 1:40  Introduction and grouping.  Each group will consist of no more than four English Talkaholics

  1:40 ~ 2:30  Each English Talkaholic to present their article, and have a discussion

  2:30 ~ 2:40  Time for a break!

<PART2>

  2:40 ~ 3:00  Time for Vocabulary check relating to the debate topic (in two opposing subgroups)

  3:00 ~ 3:20  Each subgroup to prepare for battle, i.e. build up their strategy for a debate

  3:20 ~ 4:00  Let the fun begin - time for a bloody debate between the subgroups!!

  4:00 ~           Dealing with the aftermath - time for coffefe and/or alcohol to unwind and relax 

 What you have to do before taking part in the study?

  Prepare one article and upload it before Friday on this board together with one issue that you wish to discuss in relation to the article. 

     It doesn't matter what the article is about as long as it is in English. It is as simple as that!  Whatever you want to talk about, find one English on it and share it with us.

 Prepare for debate topic and check the vocabularies.

    Decide which side you'll be on and prepare your reasoning and cases.  

    Decide which side of the debate your views lie in preparation for the bloody debate!!  The more prepared you are beforehand, the greater your chance of winning the debate!

 Please be on time.

   Due to the nature of this group, PUNCTUALITY MATTERS.  The late arrival may mean a group may consist of more than four people, in which case an hour will not be sufficient to complete the discussion within an hour.  So, please be on time and If you're late, please join during the break.
