法性偈
Gatha on the Nature of the Dharma (Beopseong-gye / Fasheng Gatha)
"Beopseonggye" (Hymn of Dharma Nature):
法性圓融無二相 諸法不動本來寂
The Nature of the Dharma is perfectly interfused, without two forms;
All phenomena are unmoving, intrinsically tranquil from the beginning.
The Dharma-nature is perfectly harmonious
and without two distinct forms, All phenomena are unmoving and originally tranquil.
無名無相絶一切 證智所知非餘境
Without name or form, detached from all things;
It is known only by the certified wisdom, not by any other realm.

眞性甚深極微妙 不守自性隨緣成
The True Nature is profoundly deep and utterly subtle;

一中一切多中一 一卽一切多卽一

A single speck of dust contains the worlds of the ten directions;
The same is true within all specks of dust.
Within a single dust mote, the ten directions are contained;
And in all dust motes, it is also thus.
無量遠劫卽一念 一念卽是無量劫
Measureless long eons are instantly a single moment;
A single moment is instantly measureless eons.
Countless distant eons are but a single instant;
And a single instant is countless eons.
九世十世互相卽 仍不雜亂隔別成
The nine ages and the ten ages interpenetrate each other;
Yet they are not disorderly, but are formed separately by intervals.

Yet they are not confused or chaotic, but distinctly formed.
初發心時便正覺 生死涅槃常共和
The moment of the first arousal of the Bodhi-mind is immediately the Perfect Enlightenment;

雨寶益生滿虛空 衆生隨器得利益

是故行者還本際 叵息妄想必不得
Therefore, the practitioner returns to the Fundamental Ground;

Even if they do not wish to cease delusive thoughts, it will surely not be obtained.
無緣善巧捉如意 歸家隨分得資糧
With the excellent skill of the non-conditioned, he grasps the Wish-Fulfilling Gem;

以陀羅尼無盡寶 莊嚴法界實寶殿

비교해서 나중에 천천히 읽어보려고요.
아, 또 생각났어요.
이번달에는 못 읽었는데 큰스님께서 수진스님이 번역하신 <청량국사화엄경소초> 빌려주셔서
그 책 읽으면서 공부에 대한 관심이 확 솟았어요.
연공최귀 주창하시는 문광스님 법문도 재밌게 듣게 되었어요. 문광스님의 의상스님 탄신 1400주년 기념법문도
들었는데 "무비스님은 역시 법성게에서 우보익생만허공 중생수기득이익을 제일 좋아하신다고 하셨어요."라고 하시면서
큰스님의 가풍대로인가? 뭐 그런 말씀을 쓰셔서 이거 오려서 큰스님께 보내드려야지 했는데 그만 까먹었어요.
보일스님도 "우리 무비스님은 중생수기득이익을 제일 좋아하신다고 하시잖아요"라고 하셨던 것 같은데
저는 아마도 큰스님의 자비 때문이 아닐까? 생각했어요.
우리가 얼마나 불쌍하면!
(우리를 얼마나 사랑하면! 식의 느낌으로^^)
어떻게 해서든지 이익을 챙겨주고 싶은 자비의 마음 아닐까, 라고 생각했는데
질문은 아무래도 못하겠어요.
좀 바보같아 보일 것 같아요.
근데 궁금하긴 해요.
큰스님께서는 왜 이익, 생귀, 이런 말씀 좋아하실까요?
요즘 만선동귀중도송 정리하고 매일 한 번씩 고작 3일 읽었지만,
중도상! 중도의 자리란 이렇게 편한거구나. 그러니까 하룻밤동안 만 냥을 써도 된다고 하셨나보다 싶었고요.
이제부터 진짜 세상 편하게 살 길이 열렸다고 생각했었어요.

만선동귀중도송을 좋아하시는 것과도 맥락이 닿아있지 않을까요?
(혹시 시간날 때 '무비스님과 중생수기득이익' 소논문이라도 써보려고 여기 그냥 적어 놓아요^^)
