비밀은 꼭 지켜야 한다고

어른들이 말씀하신다.

난 매일매일 한 줄의 일지를 기록한다.

한적한 주말이면 여유로움에

살포시 환상에 젖어 시나리오로 이어진다.

한 동네 살던 동심 친구

덕남이... .

진학을 앞두고 서울로 이사 갈 때

숨어서 보고 있었다.

그 애도 분명 내 생각을 하고 있겠지,

자꾸 가슴이 두근두근

기분이 좋아진다.

추석이 기다려진다.

덕남이는

이곳이 고향이니까….

눈을 꼭 감고 꿈속으로 빠져든다.

누구한테 들킬까

비밀창고에 내 마음

꼭꼭 가둔다.

Secret Storehouse

The elders say

that secrets must be kept.

Each day,

I jot down a single line of my thoughts.

On quiet weekends, in a leisurely mood,

my imagination grows into a story.

Deoknam,

my childhood friend,

who grew up in the same village...

Unnoticed,

I watched him leave for Seoul

to continue his studies.

Surely,

he still remembers me.

My heart begins to race,

and I cannot help but smile.

I look forward to Chuseok,

for this village

is Deoknam's hometown.

Closing my eyes,

I drift into dreams,

hiding my heart deep

within my secret storehouse,

where no one will find it.
