An Empty Place
2 Kings 2:9~11 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, "Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?" "Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied. (9)
Hymn #92 There’s One above All Earthly Friends (Unified Hymn #97)
[Message Video]
One Spiritual Summit who had the Gospel and enjoyed the mystery of the heavenly throne blocked the disasters of the age and changed powerful nations that were enslaved to Satan. Fields without a Spiritual Summit like Joseph were the real empty places. Through Elisha’s life, you can confirm that it takes only one person with the power of the throne to overcome the age of idolatry. The Spiritual Summit who enjoys the background of the throne will overpower Satan’s summits because the heavenly armies of angels that transcend time and space will be mobilized.
1. The Mystery That the Servants of the Lord Enjoyed
You must learn the mystery of the Spiritual Summit that the servants of the Lord enjoyed. From Elijah, Elisha learned about the power to make rain fall and stop, about the battle of Mt. Carmel where Elijah fought against Satan’s 850 summits, and about the mystery that saved not only Elijah’s own life, but the age by listening to the still small voice of God. Those experiences led Elisha to raise the Dothan movement that overcame the forces of darkness in the age of Aram.
2. The Hidden Mystery of Church Officers
Possessing immense skills, church officer Obadiah was a vassal whom even the most wicked King Ahab needed. In addition, he had the spirituality to become the disciple of the prophet of that age, Elijah, who waged a spiritual war against King Ahab. Using that as a stepping stone, Obadiah played the role of an intermediary who opened the way for Elijah to fight against Satan’s summits on Mt. Carmel. They were the 850 prophets of Baal and Asherah whom King Ahab had treasured. Furthermore, Obadiah played a vital role in opening the age of Dothan.
As the Spiritual Summit, Remnants are the future leaders who will solve the problems of the age; nation; and posterity. That’s why they must distinguish between temptation and confusion and wait on the path of the Spiritual Summit. If it’s truly God’s will, they must resolve with faith.
[Covenantal Prayer]
Dear God, through Your grace, may my life enter the blessing of the Spiritual Summit in order to see the fulfillment of my heavenly mandate, calling, and commission. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
* Is It Effort or Grace?
Were the blessings that Elijah and Elisha received a mere coincidence; an inevitability; or the result of a journey inside the time schedule of necessity?
Elijah was someone who tried really hard; however, he realized that his efforts were insufficient. He went into the wilderness, sat under a broom tree, and prayed that he might die. Were all his efforts futile?
God saw Elijah’s heart that was hidden behind his efforts and called him to Mt. Horeb. There, God spoke freely to Elijah about His absolute plan.
Through that grace, Elijah opened the Dothan age with Elisha. Elijah was used preciously until the very end.
For that reason, Elisha didn’t choose Bethel; Gilgal; or Jericho. Instead, he asked for “a double portion of spirit.”
For Obadiah, who discerned the age and desired to run the necessary errands, God gave him skills; spirituality; and grace to create a stage that would change the stream of the age.
You are a person who will receive the answers just like the Lord’s servant, Elijah, church officer Obadiah, and Elisha who saved the next generation.
