Bible Reading - Luke 24:10~18

24:10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 이것을 사도들에게 말했던 그들과 함께 있었던 사람들은 막달라 마리아, 요안나, 야고보의 어머니 마리아 그리고 다른 사람들이었다.

24:11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.

그러나 그들은 그 여자들을 믿지 않았다, 왜냐하면 그들의 말이 황당하게 그들에게 보였기 때문이다. 

24:12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb.

그러나 베드로는 일어나서 무덤으로 달려갔다.

Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves,

몸을 굽혀 보니 아마포 조각들이 덩그러니 놓여 있어서

and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.

그는 무슨 일이 일어났는지 의아해하며 떠났다.

24:13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.

이제 같은 날 그들 중에 두 사람이 예루살렘에서 대략 7 마일쯤 되는 엠마오라고 불리우는 한 마을로 가고 있는 중이었다.

24:14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.

그들은 일어났던 모든 것에 대해 서로 말하고 있는 중이었다.

24:15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, 

그들이 서로 이러한 일들을 말하며 토론하고 있었을 때,

Jesus himself came up and walked along with them;

예수께서 스스로 올라오셔서 그들과 함께 걸으셨다.

24:16 but they were kept from recognizing him.

그러나 그들은 그를 알아보지 못했다.

24:17 He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?" 

그는 그들에게 "너희는 걷고 있을 때, 함께 무엇을 토론하고 있는가?"하고 물었다.

They stood still, their faces downcast.그들은 얼굴을 숙인 채 꼼짝 않고 서 있었다.

24:18 One of them, named Cleopas, asked him,

클레오파스라고 이름하는 그들 중에 한 사람이 그에게 물었다.

"Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these days?" 당신은 오직 예루살렘에 방문하는 방문자인가? 그리고 최근에 거기서 일어났던 것들을 알지 못하는가?
