오늘은 우리들이 즐겨부르는 “고향의 봄” 노래를 영어로 불러보도록 하겠습니다.

     우리 대한민국의 온 겨레가 팔십년이 넘도록 어른이고 아이들이고
남한이나 북한이거나 미국에 사나 프랑스, 일본, 중국 할것없이 어디에서나 항상 즐겨부르는 
이런 노래를 꼭꼭 숨겨둘 필요는 없다고 생각합니다.

    이런 우리들의 노래를  영어 선생이 된 연유로 번역하여 영어공부도 하고 
영어를쓰는 세계의 시민들에게도 우리의 정겨운
노래를 불러드리려 주시기 바랍니다.



  자 그럼 한번 불러보십시다.


고향의 봄

”고향의 봄”－ 홍난파(洪蘭坡) 작곡(1926)• 이원수(李元壽) 작사의 한국 가곡. 우리나라 대표적인 동요곡일 뿐만 아니라 
과거 반세기 동안 나라를 잃은 겨레, 고향을 잃은 사람들의 심금을 울려주는 노래입니다. 
모두 2절로 되어 있고, 4분의 4박자로 된 내림나장조의 곡이지요. 보통 빠르기로 부르며, 두도막 형식으로 되어 있습니다.

 우리들이 지난 팔십여년동안에 많이도 즐겨불러왔던 이 노래를 세계의 시민들에게 알리려고 번역하게 되었습니다.
영어마을의 영어선생이 된 연유에서 번역해 보았으니 우리들이 영어로도 많이 불러 많은 세계의
시민들도 우리와 함께 즐겨부르게되고 우리도 영어를 자연스럽게 익히는데 도움이 되기를 바랍니다.

One of the most popular children’s song in Korea,  “Spring season in my hometown”

	This song is probably the most popular children’s song in the country, Korea 
and it is probably becoming and has become the most frequently singing 
and favorite song for over 80 years not only among those children 
but also for the most of adults as well.

I, the translator of this song, David Ro want you learn this song 
when Koreans now start to sing in English version for you. 

And if possible, I want you to learn to sing this song in Korean too. 
	This song is representing those lost old years of their nation, Korea from the Japan. 


나의 살던 고향은 꽃피는 산골

복숭아꽃 살구꽃 아기 진달래

I miss my blooming home  That was village of mountain-valley 
Peach blossom apricot, baby azalea   
 
울긋불긋 꽃대궐 차린 동네

그 속에서 놀던 때가 그립습니다

So nice colorful arcadia with many of beautiful flowers


I miss my old play-mates and those time on the play-grounds 


꽃동네 새동네 나의 옛고향

Village of flowers, village of birds and my old home-town

파란 들 남쪽에서 바람이 불면 

So sweet winds were coming from the South 

냇가에 수양버들 춤추는 동네
And it danced with the leaves of willow trees sitting on the creek

그 속에서 놀던 때가 그립습니다

Those all are my longings and dreams of me now and can’t be forgotten
