After Offline meeting of Nov.5th(CR)

In conclusion, it was a good meeting. I don’t know what could be the opinions of the other members who came to today’s offline meeting. At least for me, it was quite comfortable and very much helpful for learning English. Rather than learning, I would like to say “Practicing”.

Today, we have six members in the off-line café. (I should say that café was perfect. Thanks for Mr.한석규’ reservation) let me introduce the name of today’ members. Based on the sitting on the table, starting from Iggytime to the clockwise, Merry, 쌔끈선정, Jack (myself), 이현철, and Oday. It was quite cozy (아늑한) size of meeting, and meeting place.

Iggytime, as same as I found him at the first time several months ago, has some energy and the ability to accommodate, entertain, and organize people of the meeting. I would like to say it some sort of “Charisma”. People need it. If you have the ability to make yourself the center of you-belonged meeting, of course it is good one. Why not? Maybe sometimes you need not to be “so opinionate”. But Iggytime’ case is far from that case, and I love to say that he has the right degree of making his opinion, making him as the center of group, leading the group quite skillfully. And I mean overall I was quite impressed by Iggy’ way of leading, and I want to say thank you. Hey, Iggytime. Nexttime, we will drink more. (So, I hope to hold meeting on Saturday than Sunday. Sunday night means for middle aged man “Be patient for the drink” for the next one week.) So, I strongly suggest all our café members that why don’t we have the next meeting on Saturday afternoon, and reserve the evening for 2^nd round. I mean “feel free”, and let’s just think about that! ^^

Okay, next is Merry.

I feel from her a lot of responsibility for the successful managing of this café. I didn’t expect her to show up today because Merry already mentioned she is not gonna able to make it today. I was at the meeting place as the first one, and the one showed up for the first was Merry. She I think was kind of concerned of today’ meeting which could be not productive if not be taken care of well by some somebody. From time to time, when I read Merry’ writing, I found some feeling of dedication and commitment she want to really take care of this café. You know what? In every community or group of making steady development, there usually be somebody. I mean the somebody who actually responsible or making the strong support for the community or group. Usually those persons are not quite being aware of, but when those persons are absent, everybody is beginning to aware that he or she was so much important. Anyway I do appreciate the big contribution of Merry for this café.

And you see today I met a very pretty lady, named 쌔끈선정. I saw her in the café’ picture several times, but the actual appearance is quite different, so I did not expect she was 쌔끈선정. 선정 is actually much more attractive than the figure in the café’ picture. (선정! Do you like my introduction? ^^). She speaks good English and good pronunciation. Because of too talkative Jack and Oday, I think she might lost the more opportunity of showing herself. I feel now so sorry about that. But I did enjoy your speaking and your interesting future ahead of you. Please talk more of your thought, dream to me and our café, online or offline. I will keep waiting. ^^

And we have very young spirit called 이현철. If I understood correct, he completed his military service and now in the 3^rd grade of university, and preparing English language course before graduation. From various aspects, I found quite simililaties between me and 현철. I was very cautious of speaking in front of people when I was 20’s or younger. 현철. I am not saying that you are reserved person, shy, something like that. I think and I feel that you are very well educated, with good spirit, and social mind. However, as I did some years ago or as I do even these days, sometimes we do respect others more than ourselves, and just reserve our opinion for the next time. Maybe we could be more out-spoken if we have better English commanding. However, you know what I think? Time does not wait for us. Time does not wait for us to make ourselves perfect. So, sometime, even we think we are not ready, sometimes we have to “just do it”, just have to put ourselves in that combat, the real world. We can see today’ meeting was so well customed, protected, optimized. So, we can just use it as a good way of exercise. Exercise for speaking English, exercise for making our opinion, exercise for making friend. I am sure that you will understand that I just tried to say something to you, and want you to take it as my way of expressing friendship. When people meet some other person, I can say the nature of the person from the face and attitude.  I like you and really hope to see you next time for 소주, and talk more in Korean. All right, brother?

Finally for Oday.  I will save your story for tomorrow. Don’t be frustrated. I came up to this, based on clock-wise turn, so, you are the last one sitting on the table, staring from Iggytime. ^^.

Also forgive me, I couldn’t stop my sleep. So, I really promise to introduce you in the next writing. I believe you will forgive me. ^^

Here comes a critic for cafe members! ^^ I'm so sorry that I missed today's meeting. I was thinking if I could join it late like 7 or 8 PM, but I decided I'd rather not. My sister in law paid unexpected visit to my house this afternoon and I had to spend time with them and my daughter! Seems like you had a quality time. Hope I can join you next time! ^^

Hi Jack!, Thank you so much for your sincere advise for all of us and I am really flattered. I am always concerned I am taking too much time for myself in meetings. Since I was a facilitator, I try not to speak too much and encourage others to have the chance but I know I am talking a lot. Thank you for regarding it as my role. I'll try to be a better supporter for the meetings! By the way, I am very impressed with your ablility that you could write while you were drunken. You know, last sunday, after a few shots of soju, I passed out at home. Jack! you are the man!!

Iggytime. Regarding the meeting place, please do not bother. My second though is the place we met last Sunday was actually Great. I am not sure if some of us is able to find another and better solution. Even if the place is located a little fasr to Northside, still I would like to recommend it for the next meeting. If you just want to have free discussion on this issue, indifferent to my previous suggestion, it is Okay. And also thanks for your comment on my writing(후기). Maybe I had some shots of Soju, I had the courage to speak about all of you. Thanks for understanding, everybody. ^^
