First Encounter with the Daffodils

The daffodils that stayed hidden underground all winter
have, as always,
come out first to greet the season.

It feels like they are saying,
“Ah, you’re finally here~” 😊

Today, I set aside all my busy work,
and as soon as I stepped into my place in Miryang,
the daffodils immediately caught my attention.

While all the other flowers are still asleep,
this one has already started spring on its own 😂

Even though the air is still cold,
the breath of nature has already begun
to carry a gentle warmth.

My neighbor ajumma kindly dug up
some lettuce seedlings that survived the winter
and put them into a plastic bag for me.

(This is the warmth of the countryside 👍)

Tomorrow morning,
it’s time to plant lettuce.
Farmer mode ON 😂

Even though it was already late,
I worked the soil before going inside,
and before I knew it,
night had quietly arrived.

As always,
it was a busy day.

And yet,
this daily life with nature
always feels new.

It simply means
that I am still alive,
breathing, healthy, and happy.

수선화와 첫 대면

한겨울 땅속에 머물던 수선화가
언제나 그랬듯이
제일 먼저 얼굴을 내민다.

“이제 왔나요~” 하고
가장 먼저 인사하며 나를 반긴다.

오늘 바쁜 일들 다 제쳐두고,
이곳 밀양에 발을 디디자마자
수선화가 바로 눈길을 사로잡는다.

다른 꽃들은 아직 꿈나라인데
얘 혼자 봄 맞이 완료다 ㅋㅋ

아직 주변은 차가운 기운이 남아 있지만
자연의 숨결은 어느새
부드러운 온기로 스며든다.

옆집 아지매가
한겨울을 버틴 상추 모종을
삽으로 퍼서 비닐봉지에 담아주셨다.
(이 동네 인심은 역시 👍)

내일은 상추 심는 날이다.
이제 농부 모드 ON 😂

늦은 저녁까지
땅을 일구고 들어오니
어느새 밤이 어김없이 찾아온다.

역시 오늘도
바쁜 하루다.

자연과 함께 반복되는 일상은
왠지 늘 새롭다.

그것은
내일도 내가 살아 숨 쉰다는 것이며,
건강하고 행복하다는
확실한 증거일꺼야 ㅋㅋ
