Introduction
Whenever civilization changes, humans have learned new technologies.
However, in the age of AGI, what humans need before new technologies is a new standard of consciousness.
As mentioned in Part I,
we arrive at an important conclusion:
Civilization grows through expansion,
but human beings survive through resilience.
This resilience refers to approaching the most fundamental principles of human life,
and those principles are unchanging—they are the laws of nature.
On the other hand, the expansion of human civilization, when viewed through history, follows a recurring pattern. It appears, transforms, and disappears as a phenomenon within the natural order.
In Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu training, what is emphasized is precisely this resilience.
This is the very foundation of martial arts training, and its rationality and legitimacy—both in learning and teaching—are continuously emphasized.
This forms the basis of an elite martial arts education where the civil and the martial are integrated. Through the unified training of technique, philosophy, and healing, the original meaning of martial arts is fulfilled.
To say it is fulfilled means that it aligns with the laws of nature, and ultimately becomes a form of training that leads one toward the fundamental purpose of human life.
Simply using words such as respect, etiquette, patience, and self-control does not mean that the depth or quality of martial arts philosophy is high.
The true value of martial arts training is created by realizing the original meaning behind such words and cultivating both body and mind based on that understanding.
In the past, those who could not write or had not read books—even if their physical techniques were excellent—found it difficult to teach others the underlying principles in a way suited to the learner.
This is especially true for those who transmit martial arts. If they are fortunate, excessive physical training alone may not result in long-term deterioration of the body.
① Civilizational Change Requires a Transformation of Human Consciousness
Looking at the history of human civilization,
changes in technology have always transformed the way humans live.
The Agricultural Revolution led humans into settled life,
and the Industrial Revolution moved humanity into a labor-centered society.
The Information Revolution made knowledge and information the center of human society.
However, the transformation brought by the age of AGI is not merely a change in the technological environment.
It is a revolutionary shift that changes the very standard of human consciousness.
② The Greatest Change in the Age of AGI
The defining characteristic of the AGI era is that knowledge and information are no longer exclusive to humans.
In the past, those who possessed more knowledge had greater opportunities to attain status, wealth, and honor.
But in the age of AGI, knowledge becomes a resource that can be accessed at any time upon demand.
Therefore, the standard of human value shifts.
In the past, it was about how much one knew and how effectively one executed it.
Now, based on virtually unlimited knowledge and information through AGI,
what matters is how one makes judgments.
It is no longer about how much information one remembers,
but rather by what standard one makes correct choices that leads to rational outcomes.
Ultimately, what becomes important is not the quantity or even the quality of knowledge,
but the level of consciousness.
③ Technological Advancement and Human Alienation
As technology advances,
human life becomes more convenient.
At the same time,
technology reduces the role of human beings.
As automation expands,
human labor decreases,
and AI replaces human work, increasing productivity.
In this process, humans may live in increasingly comfortable environments,
and ideas such as universal high income or a utopian life are often discussed.
However, when viewed through historical patterns, one truth remains constant: everything changes.
This is an unchanging principle.
Although we now live in an unpredictable future society,
as many tasks previously done by humans are replaced by AGI,
we cannot ignore the possibility that we may gradually lose:
the ability to judge for ourselves
the capacity to feel for ourselves
experience through the body
What arises here is the problem of human alienation.
It is not that technology dominates humans,
but rather that humans begin to abandon their own judgment,
increase their expectations and dependence on AGI,
and gradually distance themselves from their own being.
④ An Era Where the Center of Consciousness is Shaken
The problem of the AGI era is not a lack of information.
Rather, it may be an excess of information.
In an environment where information and stimulation constantly overflow,
human consciousness can easily become scattered and passive.
Thought becomes shorter,
judgment turns into immediate reaction,
and sensory awareness gradually dulls.
If this continues,
humans lose their center.
What is needed is not new information,
but a reference point of consciousness.
This becomes the foundation for restoring resilience.
It may also be described as returning to a “zeroed mind” or resetting the mind to its origin.
This is the fundamental principle of "Wavelength Practice" in Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu,
and the basis of "Vipassana-Acupuncture Practice (Sinchim Suhang, 신침수행)" and "Kimu Practice(기무수련)".
⑤ Restoring Consciousness Through the Body
Human consciousness is not sustained by the mind alone.
It operates together with the body.
When bodily awareness is alive,
humans can sense their condition
and maintain a stable standard of judgment.
For this reason,
many traditions in both East and West have long emphasized training through the body.
Through movement,
through sensing the breath,
and through awareness of sensation,
humans rediscover their center.
This is not merely exercise,
but a process of restoring consciousness.
When "the physical self" and "the mental self" function together:
it becomes the correct path
it becomes a life aligned with the laws of nature
it becomes a life that understands Follow the Energy
it becomes a life that encounters and harmonizes with nature
This is what creates and restores the center of consciousness.
⑥ The Meaning and Practical Value of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu Training
The core of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu training
is to become aware of the flow of nature through bodily movement.
When one understands the principle of natural movement,
releases unnecessary force,
and moves within the rhythm of nature,
one begins to feel their center.
In this process,
it becomes clear that:
Technique
Philosophy
Healing
are not separate.
Movement reveals the order of nature (Technique)
Understanding that order is Philosophy
When that flow is restored, body and mind are naturally healed
This integrated structure is the defining characteristic of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu.
Their depth and value are gradually cultivated through one’s effort, time, open mind, and sincere intention to realize truth.
Everything one practices ultimately becomes for oneself—
for the purpose of living well.
⑦ Human Training in the Age of AGI
As the AGI era advances,
the abilities humans need are not merely technical skills.
What becomes essential is:
stability of consciousness
center of judgment
bodily awareness
Technology develops externally,
but the human center is formed internally.
Therefore, in the age of AGI,
training through the body is not simply a hobby or exercise,
but a crucial method for maintaining, transforming, and evolving human consciousness.
This is awakening—
living wisely, making correct judgments,
walking the right path,
and living a healthy and fulfilling life.
Ultimately, it means living well.
⑧ Conclusion
The age of AGI is a great turning point in human civilization.
Technology will continue to advance,
and human life will change significantly.
However, one thing never changes:
To live as a human being,
one must not lose one’s center.
No matter how advanced technology becomes,
human consciousness does not grow automatically.
Therefore, humans must:
○ continuously reflect and renew themselves
(reflection and determination)
○ harmonize body and mind (harmony and balance)
○ maintain their center
(recovery and gratitude)
The training philosophy of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu
presents a practical path for remaining truly human through this process.
This path is not based on words or theory alone,
but on embodied experience—
a process of transformation, growth, and innovation through training at each stage.
This is why Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu is considered a new path of the 21st century,
an elite martial art,
and a highest-level training system.
This is not claimed in comparison with other systems,
but because the training itself is rooted in the most fundamental principles,
experienced directly through the body,
practical in human life,
and connected to the highest level.
In other words,
it is the experience of the highest through the body.
And its beginning is the realization of the principle
that the body moves naturally by itself— starting from the beginner level in Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu.
No matter how civilization changes,
what ultimately sustains humanity is not technology,
but the transformation and evolution of human consciousness.
That is what develops and matures human beings.
And that is what is taught and learned
through the training of Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu.
Through this writing,
it is hoped that martial artists around the world will undergo a transformation of consciousness,
leading to better training, better lives,
and ultimately reaching the fundamental purpose of human existence.
