The Vimalakirti Sutra, Actions of the Bodhisattvas (보살행품 5)

[眞如華]

     供養於佛      及此經法      幷諸菩薩已      稽首佛足      歎未曾有      言釋迦牟尼佛      乃能於此      善行方便      言已      忽然不現      還到本國

     부처님과 이 경법과 모든 보살에게 공양하고 나서 부처님의 발에 머리 숙여 예배하고 미증유를 찬탄하여 말하였다.

“석가모니 부처님이 능히 여기에서 방편을 잘 행하셨습니다.”

이 말을 마치고 홀연히 사라져서 본국으로 돌아갔다.

     And then, having made their offering to the Buddha and to these sutra teachings, as well as to the other bodhisattvas, they bowed their heads in obeisance at the Buddha’s feet and sighed at having heard what they had never heard before, exclaiming,

“Shakyamuni Buddha knows how to employ expedient means in a truly skillful manner!”

Having spoken these words, they suddenly vanished from sight and returned to their own country.

the Buddha and to these sutra teachings; 부처님과 이 경법과

as well as to the other bodhisattvas; 모든 보살에게

having made their offering to; 공양하고 나서

at the Buddha’s feet; 부처님의 발에

they bowed their heads in obeisance; 머리 숙여 예배하고

having heard what they had never heard before; 미증유를

sighed at ~ exclaiming; 찬탄하여 말하였다

Shakyamuni Buddha; 석가모니 부처님이

to employ expedient means; 방편을

knows how ~ in a truly skillful manner

; 능히 여기에서 ~ 잘 행하셨습니다

Having spoken these words; 이 말을 마치고

they suddenly vanished from sight; 홀연히 사라져서

returned to their own country; 본국으로 돌아갔다
