Summary: On September 2, Sintah Khalid was refused to get on the bus by the bus driver just because he is black.
He got very much hurt for racism. This incident would be connected to an incident last week that a black man physically attacked a bus driver. Khalid confessed that not only this incident is experienced. He actually was mistreated by many Koreans: People cover their mouths because they think he smells bad and one woman even spit on him.
The man of city hall claimed that he is going to investigate about this incident and if the driver did as Khalid said, he would discipline the man but anyway yet no punishment is decided.
Opinion: Racism is one of the wayward matters for everyone. A lot of people protest for their rights and equal treatment but actually they don't respect other's rights and equal treatment. I think it's really hard to restore because most people can't sympathize others unless they experience same thing. Racism should be vanished in this world. If not so, Martin Luther King's efforts would be going to bubble in the air. Definitely, the bus driver should be punished. Then let's think about the fit punishment for the people who discriminate race.
The first idea is that racists should be put to one place in which they are alone as their races. Then they would experience the same feeling and emotion that the victims experienced. This would be quite hard to practice in our society but I think this is the best idea that could make racists realize that racism is really bad.
The second idea is that racists should pay penalty for society. Money is so worthy and people like it. That's why people won't discriminate other races if they have to pay penalty.
However, one problem is that the standard of racism is ambiguous. In this way, a lot of people would pay penalty just for not talking with the black or something because racism is valid if the victim feels that he is abused. So I think people should decide a proper standard of racism first.
