Year 3 Residential - Gopeng

At 8.00am on Thursday 23rd January, the children all arrived at school eagerly awaiting the beginning of their big adventure to Gopeng. They waved goodbye to their parents, then piled on the buses with bags in hand. Their first stop was Bukit Merah where they took a boat to Orangutan Island. After a Subway lunch, they then went to another island where they needed to build shelters using only bamboo, sticks and tarps. The children cooperated and demonstrated resilience in overcoming many challenges while den building. After a tiring day, the children went for dinner at Fee Kei restaurant where they enjoyed a delicious feast. After a night's sleep in their luxury glamping tents, their adventure continued the next day. They started their day with a breakfast buffet, while the glamping site’s cat snuck a sausage or two. With full tummies, they went to Nomad Mountain school where they took part in a low ropes course and two caving activities. After completing their activities at Nomad, 75 children and 9 adults returned back to school with memories which will last them a lifetime. What an amazing adventure they all had!

1월 23일 목요일 오전 8시, 아이들은 모두 고펑으로 가는 큰 모험의 시작을 간절히 기다리며 학교에 도착했습니다. 아이들은 부모님께 작별 인사를 한 후 가방을 들고 버스에 쌓았습니다. 첫 번째 목적지는 부킷메라로, 오랑우탄 섬으로 가는 배를 탔습니다. 지하철 점심 식사를 마친 후 아이들은 대나무, 막대기, 방수포만 사용해 쉼터를 만들어야 하는 다른 섬으로 갔습니다. 아이들은 협력하여 굴을 짓는 동안 많은 어려움을 극복하는 회복력을 보였습니다. 지친 하루를 보낸 후 아이들은 피케이 레스토랑으로 저녁 식사를 하러 가서 맛있는 잔치를 즐겼습니다. 고급 글램핑 텐트에서 하룻밤을 자고 나면 다음 날에도 모험은 계속되었습니다. 아이들은 아침 뷔페로 하루를 시작했고 글램핑장의 고양이는 소시지 한두 개를 몰래 먹었습니다. 배가 가득 찬 그들은 노마드 마운틴 학교로 가서 로우 로프 코스와 두 번의 동굴 탐험 활동에 참여했습니다. 노마드에서 활동을 마친 후 75명의 아이들과 9명의 어른들이 평생 지속될 추억을 안고 학교로 돌아갔습니다. 이들 모두가 겪은 놀라운 모험이었습니다!
