Seokgol Village

Whenever I come down to Seokgol,
there is something I secretly look forward to.
Haha.

No one makes plans,
but somehow the neighbors begin to gather.

“Shall we have a drink tonight?”
“I just brought some fresh sashimi…”
Some days
it turns into grilled pork belly,
other days
grilled eel appears on the table.
The menu
changes every time.

Before we know it,
a spontaneous gathering begins
and a table is quickly filled with food.

We laugh,
we chat,
we eat,
we drink.

You are happy,
I am happy.

We simply live
just as we are,
each in our own way.
Haha.

As the sun sets
and another day comes to an end,
my steps
naturally turn back toward home.
And my mind,
once again,
becomes empty and quiet.

Then
I gently wait
for tomorrow.

석골마을

석골에 내려오면
마냥 기다리게 되는 일이 하나 있다. ㅋㅋ

누가 약속한 것도 아닌데
어느새 동네 사람들이 모인다.

“오늘 한잔 할까?”
“회 좀 떠왔는데…”
어떤 날은
돼지 삼겹살이 올라오고,
어떤 날은
장어구이가 올라오고,
그날그날
메뉴도 참 다양하다.

그러다 보면
어느새 번개처럼
한 상이 차려진다.

웃고
수다 떨고
먹고
마시고

니도 좋고
나도 좋고

그냥 이렇게 저렇게
니도, 내도
생긴 그대로 살아간다.
ㅋㅋ

해가 지고
또 하루가 저물면

발걸음은
다시 집으로 향하고

내 마음은
어느새 다시
빈 마음이 된다.

그리고
조용히
내일을 기다린다.


석골마을에서
