[해석] 버스를 향해 달리는 동안, 나는 내 책을 떨어뜨렸다.

분사구문의 뜻을 명확하게 하기 위해 분사 앞에 접속사를 놓기도 한다.

being, having been의 생략. (Having been) lazy all his life, he remained poor.
