The price of creativity is holding many people back.

Across ASEAN, 53% of people say high costs remain the main barrier to accessing creative products and services.

Why does creativity cost so much?

Many creative goods are still produced on a small scale, with limited market access and costly materials and tools, making them less affordable for everyday consumers.

Yet some countries are finding ways to bridge the gap. In countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, people are finding ways to turn these challenges into opportunities:

- Strong local demand for culturally rich and distinctive products keeps creative markets thriving-- people value goods that reflect their identity and heritage.

- Supportive policies and promotion, especially in Indonesia, boost sector confidence and encourage local consumption.
