Bible Reading - Acts 6:9~15

6:9 Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called)--Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia.

그러나 구레네와 알렉산드리아뿐 아니라 길리기아와 아시아 지방의 유대인들, 즉 '해방된 유대인들의 회당'(당시 명칭) 회원들로부터 반대가 일어났다.

These men began to argue with Stephen,
6:10 but they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke.

이 사람들은 스데반과 논쟁을 벌이기 시작했지만, 그의 지혜와 그가 말하게 하시는 성령 앞에서는 버틸 수 없었다.

6:11 Then they secretly persuaded some men to say,   "We have heard Stephen speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God."

그때 그들은 비밀히 몇몇 사람들에게 "우리는 스데반이 모세와 하나님을 대항하여 신성모독의 말을 하는 것을 들었다."고 말하게 설득했다.

6:12 So they stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law.

그래서 그들은 사람들과 장로들과 율법교사들을 선동했다(휘저었다.).

 They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin.

그들은 스데반을 잡아서 산헤드린 앞으로 데려왔다.

6:13 They produced false witnesses, who testified, "This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law.

그들은 거짓 증인들을 만들어 내어 " 이 사람이 이 거룩한 장소와 율법을 대항하여 말하기를 멈추지 않는다."고 증언하게 했다.

6:14 For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs Moses handed down to us." 우리는 이 나사렛 예수가 이 장소를 파괴할 것이며 모세가 우리에게 넘겨주었던 관습을 바꿀 것이라는 것을 그가 말하는 것을 들었다.

6:15 All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

산헤드린에 앉아 있던 모든 사람들이 스데반을유심히 바라보았는데, 그의 얼굴이 천사의 얼굴과 같았다.
