Bible Reading - Acts 7:11~20

7:11 "Then a famine struck all Egypt and Canaan, bringing great suffering, and our fathers could not find food.

그때 큰 고통을 가져오는 기근이 이집트 전역과 가나안을 덮쳤고, 우리 선조들은 먹을 것이 없었다.

7:12 When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, 

야곱이 이집트에 곡물이 있다는 것을 들었을 때

he sent our fathers on their first visit. 그는 우리의 조상들을 첫번째 방문하도록 보냈다.

7:13 On their second visit,  세번째 방문에서 

Joseph told his brothers who he was, 요셉은 그와 함께 있던 형제들에게 말했고

and Pharaoh learned about Joseph's family.파라오는 요셉의 가족들에 대해 알았다.

7:14 After this, Joseph sent for his father Jacob and his whole family, seventy-five in all.

이 후에 요셉은 그의 아버지 야곱과 그의 모든 가족, 모두 일흔 다섯명을 보냈다.

7:15 Then Jacob went down to Egypt, where he and our fathers died.

그때 야곱이 그와 우리의 조상들이 죽었던 이집트로 내려갔다.

7:16 Their bodies were brought back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought from the sons of Hamor at Shechem for a certain sum of money.

그들의 시신들은 세겜으로 가져와져서 아브라함이 세겜에서 하몰의 아들들로부터 얼마의 금액을 주고 산 무덤에 놓았다(장사지냈다). 

7:17 "As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt greatly increased.

하나님께서 아브라함에게 하신 약속을 이루실 때가 가까워지자 이집트에 있는 우리 민족의 수가 크게 늘어났다.

7:18 Then another king, who knew nothing about Joseph, became ruler of Egypt.

그때 요셉에 대해 전혀 알지 못하는 다른 왕이 이집트의 통치자가 되었다.

7:19 He dealt treacherously with our people and oppressed our forefathers by forcing them to throw out their newborn babies so that they would die.

그는 우리 민족을 배신하고 우리 조상들을 억압하여 갓난아기들을 버리게 하여 죽게 만들었습니다.

7:20 "At that time Moses was born, 그때 모세가 태어났고 

and he was no ordinary child. 그는 평범한 아이가 아니었다.

For three months he was cared for in his father's house.

세달 동안 그는 그의 아버지의 집에서 돌봄을 받았다.
